Debt was paid
Complaint: Receivables Performance is reporting a collection for XXXX. First, the service provider could not provide service at the location we moved to. Second, the debt was paid. Third, we told Receivables Performance that we were disputing the debt ( although paid by new service provider ) with the original provider ( XXXX ) because they could n't provide service at the new address. During the debt validation process we clearly informed them there was a dispute and they should refer back to XXXX who had already been paid but they put it on our credit report anyway which is a direct violation of FCRA Section 623 XXXX, v. XXXX XXXX XXXX and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 807 ( 8 ). Plus a few others..

Debt was paid
Complaint: I was sent a collection notice by XXXX XXXX XXXX for creditor XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX showed a debt of {$570.00}. This charge was for final payment on XXXX account for services, plus an additional amount of {$200.00} for the phone and {$27.00} for a lease charge cancel fee. On XX/XX/XXXX, I went to the XXXX store located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Nevada. I was assisted by XXXX XXXX, a XXXX employee. I returned the phone at that time. XXXX XXXX accepted the phone and reduced the bill in the amount of {$220.00}. I paid the remainder of the bill {$340.00} and was assured that my account was settled. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a collection notice from Receivables Performance Management , LLC, ( RPM ) on behalf of XXXX, in the amount of {$200.00}. Prior to this action, I had received no notice of intent, no revised billing and no other acknowledgement or communication from XXXX that any amount was still owed prior to the collection notice. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX via telephone. I was advised that I needed to provide either a PIN or give the name of my elementary school for personal identification. I gave the name of my school, as I had not set a PIN. I was advised that the school name I gave was incorrect. I only went to ONE elementary school, and I remember the name clearly. I was not given any information as I could not " prove '' who I was, even though I provided all my details including account number. I was advised to go to a XXXX store and provide 2 forms of ID. XXXX area XXXX stores average a 1 to 2 hour wait. I have advised RPM that I 'm disputing this debt. However, this collection will destroy my credit, with a home purchase planned in less than 2 months. I 'm asking for any and all assistance in resolving this issue. Thank you.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: About a month from today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I got a call in the morning regarding a debt from XXXX that I had supposedly accumulated over time. I 've never had a phone bill in my name. I 've always been under my parents because I 'm still a broke XXXX XXXX. The person over the phone asked my for my name, birthday, and full social security number. I told him all my info until he asked for my social. Once I realized that the phone call seemed off, I was a little hesitant to give even the last 4 of my social. He tried to tell me the phone number that the account number was under and when I said I did n't recognize it, he essentially accused me of lying. When I refused to give my number, the man on the phones tone of voice and mannerism of speaking completely change. He started to threaten me with cops coming to my house and things of that nature. I ended up hanging up eventually and immediately called XXXX. The customer service representative told me that I had no outstanding bills and that they would never call if we owed money. After that day, I did n't think much of it and went on with my life. Fast-forward to present day, I get a letter from a company ( Receivables Performance Management LLC ) saying that I owe XXXX {$5300.00}. I 've never had a XXXX account either. The letter states that they are willing to accept 60 % of the totally about due as settlement in full and they are not obligated to renew this offer. The notice date is for XX/XX/XXXX and they want the payment of {$3200.00} to be received on or before XX/XX/XXXX.

Debt was paid
Complaint: Paid original creditor XXXX after switching phone companies, 1 month later a collection agency named performance receivables adds a collection to my three credit reports. I have tried to communicate with the company on several occasions and it always ends with 3 transfers and getting hung up on. This happened 4 times in succession one day and when I asked about it they chuckled and hung up on me again.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I had a phone bill sent to Receivables Performance Management for collections in the amount of {$370.00}. I called to pay my bill and they settled for {$200.00} dollars. They told me i could make two monthly payments of {$80.00} dollars and on of {$48.00} in 3 consecutive months on my first call to them. I paid the two payments of {$80.00} dollars each month and went to settle the remainder. They then told me the settlement never happend and i would have to pay the rest of the full amount and the two payments i made were just good faith payments. I said this was untrue and asked the phone call to be pulled from the initial XXXX XXXX call. The company stated this would take 48 hours and they would give me a call back. They never did and when i called back, i keep getting transferred to the " management department. '' The phone just rings or disconnects each time and i have to explain the situation all over again. For 3 days i have been told i will receive a call back later from a supervisor and i have yet to receive a call. I told them i would file a complaint and they hung up on me

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: RPM Receivables claimed I owe {$1100.00} on a closed XXXX XXXX XXXX account. The account was closed in XXXX of 2016.
The company called me today with a Washington State number, it was from an XXXX call center. They asked for me by name, I asked who was calling? I heard a click and another agent came on the line. The call center rep, in a rush spoke very fast, with my name and cell phone number, then hung up. After learning about what the call was about, I immediately told the agent that I had no such debt with XXXX XXXX XXXX when I cancelled my service. He was adamant about setting up a payment arrangement. I further advised, I wish to dispute it. He again asked to set up a payment arrangement. I advised him this was not a valid debt. He then advised he would flag the account as disputed.

Personal information incorrect
Complaint: There are reported accounts ( original creditor was allegedly ) by the Creditor receivables performance management ( XXXX from here on ) on each of the three major credit bureaus that have not been validated with my correct address, name, or personal information. They are reported with the same owed amount, but have several Non matching dates of being opened. i.e 2 accounts for {$880.00} one opened in XX/XX/XXXX and the other in XX/XX/XXXX. ( One I 've never had, and the other is an amount I 've never owed at all. ) One of said accounts is reported as being opened inXX/XX/XXXX. I have never owned any account, or opened an account with XXXX within the last several years. When attempting to contact them, they say submitting a claim will NOT result in a formal investigation, but will be handed to a creditor who will attempt to find a resolution. I believe they are attempting to buy debts and assign them to whomever they please without due diligence. I have contacted the credit bureaus via certified mail to formally complain and dispute all accounts. They should n't be allowed to do this to people, especially people unaware.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: For the past 8 month 's I have been fighting with a company called Receivables Performance Management LLC ( RPM ) in XXXX, WA regarding a debt that they claim I owe that I have disputed. At issue is a charge to XXXX for an account that was opened under my name, at a former address of mine that I do not live at and currently has an outstanding balance of {$370.00}.
XX/XX/XXXX I received two phone calls from this company about an outstanding XXXX debt that I owed. I told them both times verbally over the phone that this debt did not belong to me and that I had never purchased XXXX and that I did not currently live at the address that was associated with the respective account. I did not immediately hear from them further and so I considered the matter settled.
In XX/XX/XXXX while attending Military XXXX I received a letter from RPM again claiming that I owed a debt of {$370.00} to them as payment for the XXXX account they claimed I had. XX/XX/XXXX I sent a letter to RPM telling them that I disputed this debt, and had no responsibility for the debt they were attempting to claim. I informed them that if they had any substantiating records to support their claim to send them to me and if they had forwarded the debt to another party or reported it on my credit report that it must be shown to be disputed. I did not immediately hear from them further and so I considered the matter settled.
Today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I received a letter from RPM dated XX/XX/XXXX which included two statement dates and the billing periods associated with the debt they claim I owe. Besides the fact that I have never used any XXXX service, the address that is on the statement is an address that I have not lived at since XX/XX/XXXX. Furthermore, the two billing statements reflect Billing Periods of XX/XX/XXXX andXX/XX/XXXX. During XX/XX/XXXX I was still residing in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX while XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX in the XXXX XXXX and in XX/XX/XXXX I was ( and still am ) residing in XXXX while XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have not been to the address associated with the disputed account since XX/XX/XXXX.
I have never used a service provided by XXXX. I 've never signed up for a trial use or created an account with them. I am concerned that someone has attempted to do so fraudulently under my name and as such RPM is seeking financial restitution from me. However, I am not responsible for this debt. And I 've communicated this to RPM not less than three times in verbal and written format. I am filing this complaint because of the failure of RPM to recognize that this debt does not belong to me and ceasing to harass me for money.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: In the fall of last year I called XXXX XXXX XXXX to get information and pricing for a home phone because I was thinking about switching from XXXX. I only asked for pricing information but unbeknownst to me the Customer Service Rep had put service in my name that I did not authorize and never knew I had the service until I received a bill in the mail. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX and explained the situation and after about 3 weeks of talking to various different supervisors the last person I spoke with ensured me that they had credited my account to a zero balance and closed it. Know I am seeing that I still had a balance and it was sold to Receivables Performances I called them and explained that I do not owe this debt as I never authorized for it or used the services.
