Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: RE : CFPB case numbers : XXXX ; XXXX ; XXXX ; XXXX . XXXX XXXX and I agreed to a payment plan to keep my disconnected account in a current status, and autopay was set up on an agreed-upon payment schedule. After a couple of months, XXXX sent my account to collections without notice. I paid a deposit via telephone to the collection agency, XXXX XXXX , and proceeded to obtain another payment plan. Several months later, XXXX XXXX resells my account to XXXX XXXX . Meanwhile, XXXX and these collection agencies continue to not honor our agreement when they cancel the payment plans without notice, and while they continue to add collection fees with each new subsequent collections agency. The response from XXXX XXXX advises me to contact XXXX XXXX directly. XXXX states they no longer have the account as it has been sent to collections. All parties pr ovide conflicting information!
*** U PDATE XXXX / XXXX / 2017 : XXXX XXXX , o r one of its agents, has now resold my account to Receivables Performance Management LLC ( " RPM '' ).

You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: I am receiving NUMEROUS calls for someone named XXXX RPM ( Receivable Performance Management ) at phone number XXXX . I am NOT XXXX nor do I know a XXXX . I have had my phone number for 9 years such it is unlikely this was XXXX 's number. RPM continues to call me about a debt XXXX owes. When I tell them I am not XXXX they hang up. When I call back they put me on hold for 3 minutes, pick up and immediately hang up. When I call from a different phone and get through to a person and explain the problem I get put through to a voice mail of a manager that is full and at which time the system automatically hangs up on me. It is tiresome harassment that I have on multiple occasions tried to correct. PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP.

Debt was paid
Complaint: My complaint is with XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX . In XXXX XXXX I signed up for the Unlimited Data and XXXX XXXX promotion for my family. The advertised Poster and the sales person ( at the XXXX WV XXXX XXXX XXXX ) office told me that it was a bundle. Super! This means I save money and billing is easier. Or so I thought! XXXX XXXX XXXX over billed me 3 times, this is n't my complaint as they did correct it all three times. I paid for the bill XXXX XXXX XXXX . In I had received a bill from XXXX . I called XXXX XXXX XXXX and asked why they were billing me for a bundle in which I paid via XXXX XXXX XXXX ? The price was set as per the poster and I paid the per line fee for unlimited data, talk, text and DirectTV. I was told that this was an issue and to keep paying my XXXX XXXX XXXX bill as I had been. I called a XXXX after getting another bill this time it was n't until XXXX . The customer service agent said she did n't see me on a bundle. She said the promo was going poorly and they had several complaints just like mine. She then offered to set me up with XXXX on it 's own. I said, '' no, If it 's not bundled and I am not getting that deal then I do n't want it ''. I told her I was sorry but XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX had not lived up to their end of the contract and broke the deal I agreed to therefore, they could take everything back. I then contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX and changed my plan. I sent back the receiver to XXXX . XXXX months ago I got a collections letter from XXXX for collecting my XXXX bill. They are saying I owe them for services from XXXX for monthly services as well as an early termination fee totaling - {$590.00}. I paid the advertised and agreed upon price to XXXX XXXX XXXX for phone service and XXXX . I do not owe DirectTV. They need to check with XXXX XXXX XXXX to get their money, not me! Sending me to collections is only further hurting my credit I have been trying to repair since a divorce. I have tried to correct this matter on my own by mailing a letter to the collections agency and they contacted XXXX . XXXX decided that the charges were still valid. I disagree. They did not live up to the deal on which I signed up for. And the early termination fee is outrageous! They did n't hold up their end of the contract so I opted out. If they had been upfront with the product I would still have DirectTV today and probably past my two year contract.

Complaint: Previous complaint resulted in case # XXXX and is closed but not resolved. This XXXX account was opened on XXXX / XXXX / 12 under my ex-wife 's name and address, but using my last XXXX SSN digits. There were {$280.00} charged in unreturned equipment, and {$100.00} in 'other ' charges ( service ). She called a few weeks ago, confirmed that this is her responsibility, and said she paid the {$100.00} and is making arrangements for the remaining amount. However, this is still showing as a collections account on my XXXX report and needs to be removed. What do I need to do to have this account removed from my credit report?

Debt was paid
Complaint: Receivable s Perfor mance refu ses to remove a debt that has been paid off since XXXX XXXX , 2012 . The original debt was with XXXX who, once paid, removed the entry from my credit within 90 days as they said they would. This company though says that they do not and will not remove this entry from my credit even though it 's adversely effecting my credit in a paid status. When you call they put you on silent holds or just let the phone ring. They treat you, even when you have paid the debt, as though you belong in debtor 's prison and you are wasting their precious time.

Complaint: I am trying to improve my credit. There is a duplicate collection account that I have been trying to get removed from my credit reported. The collection agency keeps telling me they are reporting it as closed, but it keeps showing on my credit report as an open collection, but it should be closed and showing as paid or settled. I have contact XXXX - they say I will know something in 30 days. I have contacted XXXX they also said 30-45 days b efore investigation complete. But, XXXX sent me an email stating that this information is correct and the collection will remain open, this is not correct I have paid this and it should be showing as paid/settled on my credit report. Can you please help me get this resolved, I am trying to purchase a home and this is keeping m y credit score down. Thanks

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: I noticed a collection on my credit reports in XXXX XXXX for XXXX . I had cancelled their service and returned the equipment so I was not aware of any debt owed to the company. I do not recall receiving any kind of correspondence from the company but learned in XXXX of this year that they had turned my account over to Receivables Performance Management for collection o f {$400.00}. I contacted XXXX shortly after and requested verification which I never received. While speaking to the customer service rep, I asked if I paid the balance they said that I owed would they remove it from my credit reports and I was told that they would. Because I wanted it off of my credit report, I started making {$100.00} payments directly to XXXX since they explained that they would instruct the collection agency to remove the debt upon full payment. I paid over the course of 2 month in {$100.00} increments until the balance was paid in full in XXXX . I was told o n 3 se parate occasions that upon payment in full that the collection would be removed from my credit reports upon the request of XXXX . This information was given to me twice by customer service reps on two separate occasions and once via chat with a XXXX rep. I paid under the belief that they would do what they said they would. I even refused a settlement offer from the collection agency because I was told that the account had to be paid in full. Once I made the final payment, I contacted XXXX regarding the removal request and was told by a very rude customer rep that they would not instruct the collection agency to remove the collection off of my credit reports. I asked to speak to a supervisor but was denied repeatedly. No one ever returned my call, although I requested it. I then attempted to contact someone at the collection agency. I sent an email explaining the situation and provided a copy of the internet chat transcript between the XXXX rep and I but the issue was not acknowledged. I think it is unfair for XXXX to secure payment under false pretenses. I paid under the assumption that once it was paid, it would be removed. I was never provided with any information validating the debt although requested and my attempts to resolution to the problem was ignored by both the original creditor and the collection agency. Validation was finally offered after I had paid the amount they said I owed by buy this time it was useless since I had already paid the debt.

Frequent or repeated calls
Complaint: Have written 3 times - once to the creditor and twice to the collection agency. Per the law, it was within 30 days of receiving the notice that I requested a full detailed itemized statement reflection the amount they claimed due from XXXX XXXX XXXX when I switched my service. I still have yet to receive anything at all except a piece of paper demanding the amount with no breakdown of the debt what so ever. They also have placed this item on my XXXX even though it was disputed and no proof was ever sent. This has been going on for months. I gave verbal warning and put them on a Cease and Desist until any paperwork regarding the outstanding itemized balance is sent that they claim to be owed. My phone gets called probably about 8 times a day. It is totally ridiculous.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I received a notice from Receivables Performance Management on XXXX XXXX XXXX attempting to collect a debt from XXXX XXXX that another debt collection agency had previously returned to XXXX XXXX as invalid. I called and talked to RPM customer service the same da y I re ceived the notice and told them I wanted to dispute the bill. They told me that they had an updated bill from XXXX XXXX that they would send out. I waite ed three w eeks, then sent a written request to have the debt cancelled because the bill could not be produced. On XXXX , they finally responded and sent a copy of the same XXXX XXXX bill that had been returned as invalid, and additional RPM interest charges that they had been accumulating while I disputed the debt. I submitted my full documentation package to RPM, including insurance statements, the amount I actually owe ( less than XXXX of the billed amount ), and the history of the account, to RPM. They received the package on XXXX . On XXXX , in response to my documentation, they sent me a copy of the same original XXXX XXXX bill. They are refusing to accept clear documentation that the bill is not valid, and they are continuing to charge interest while I dispute the claim.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I am filing this complaint in regards to a XXXX XXXX collection that is on my credit report. The account is being collected by Receivab les Performance Management. I will say that Receivab les Performance Management was not mea n, but they are collecting this phony debt and placing it on my report so I 'm not very happy about it. The reason I am filing this complaint is because I do not owe XXXX XXXX any money. When I did have XXXX XXXX , I had nothing but trouble with them. They promised me service with a specific package. I never received the package I was promised. Furthermore, When I had service with them, they had me on a package with a certain contractual dollar amount. That dollar amount was honored for 1 of the 2 years I was under contract. After 1 year, they raised my fee by nearly double!!! After they raised my fees by double I would call and ask for an explanation. No one could ever explain to me why my service was not good and why they were increasing my rate! After a while I was sick and tired of the excuses and not being provided the service I was promised so I told them that they broke their own contract and that they needed to pick up their equipment and stop any further services. They did so. Never once did they attempt to send me a bill or any notice stating that I owed money afterwards. Not only that, but they withdrew money from my wife 's debit card without authorization! I had to fight them for over a month before they refunded the money back since they had broken the law! Now that I am going to check my credit to make sure I am qualified to go buy a home, I notice that the account is on my credit report. I call the company that is reporting it which happens to be Receivabl es Performance Group. I in form them of the entire situation. I tell them about the bad service from XXXX XXXX , the breaking of a contractual amount by XXXX XXXX ., their ineptness at explaining an increase in fees, their illegal activities in withdrawing money that was not authorized or owed, the failure to communicate with me in any way, shape, or form about any " balance owed, '' and the fact that my otherwise perfect credit is being blemished by this fraudulent account. I even go out of my way to state that because I would rather not waste any time in fighting this debt even though I have every right to do so, I would simply pay the debt if it would be cancelled back to the creditor and removed from my credit report because of all the violations and lack of communication about this account to me. Receivabl es Performance refused. They stated that they would forward my dispute to XXXX XXXX and let them decide what they would do with the account. I even spoke with the offi ce manager XXXX XXXX about this. Because XXXX XXXX . had no remorse in doing what they did to me, I have absolutely no faith that they will see this account and acknowledge that they are in the wrong. I even told XXXX XXXX Trip this over the phone. I think that what they are doing is wrong and outright illegal. They are attempting to extort money from me and are coercing me by blemishing my otherwise perfect credit history with this. The problem is that even if I did pay this it would still stay on my credit report as a paid collection and therefore still tarnish my perfect credit history. I refuse to allow that to happen. If need be I will talk to an attorney and sue all parties involved in this. Please help me. This is unfair and I would like you to look into this matter and these companies business practices.
