Debt was paid
Complaint: RPM offered me a 75 % payment of a debt and they settle as paid and would notify the credit agencies there was no longer a debt. I agreed with them and paid them the 75 %. They then reported to the credit agencies that there was still a balance. I contacted them many times and they said they would take care of it but they just keep lying to me and nothing is being done. The whole conversation was recorded by them, the settlement offer and the taking of my credit card number. I believe this is an unacceptable bussinees practice

Debt collection: Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.)

Debt resulted from identity theft
Complaint: On XX/XX/2017, I received an alert that a collection has been placed on my XXXX credit report by Receivables Performance in reference to a XXXX account. I tried contacting Receivables Performance directly to inform them that this account is fraudulent, and that I had this issue once before with another collection about the same account. The first representative hung the phone up in my face. The second call I asked to speak with a manager, I was placed on hold and the phone disconnected. The third call, I inform the receptionist that I need to speak with someone, she told me she could not help me, and transferred my call. Once again I could not speak with a live person about this account. I have made six attempts via telephone and was unsuccessful each attempt. I have never heard or had any communication with Receivables Performance. This is the second time a collection company has put fraudulent, inaccurate, and non-validated information on my credit report. I have all the documentation from the previous collection company, and XXXX clearly stating the account is fraudulent. Please remove this account from my experian credit file immediately.

Debt is not mine
Complaint: I disputed an Collection on my credit report back in XXXX of 2016. Both XXXX and XXXX both removed the item from my credit report. After a month later, the collection showed back up on my credit report. It was now under a different Collection Agency name. With a slightly different amount. I contacted the Credit Agencies, and was told that I needed to dispute the amounts again. This time, the results of the dispute came back as the item belongs to me. I was only able to upload my letter from XXXX showing the removal of the collection. The XXXX removal is connected to my XXXX XXXX account. Which I am unable to upload.

False statements or representation

Debt collection: Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.)

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: Receivables performance management is reporting on my Credit report in a negative way with a {$0.00} balance. I have contacted the original creditor ( XXXX ) to get this cleared up because I currently use their services.. After speaking with XXXX they stated that I did n't owe them anything and that my current account was up to date. I have never paid RPM any money so I called them to check this status and see how I can get this removed. They stated that they cant remove anything and that I will have to dispute it with the CRA. I have Disputed this before and it has been removed from one agency. I called the CRA and they stated that RPM has to report it as removed or deleted in order for it to come off of your credit report. Once I reached back out to RPM they stated that unfortunately they can not delete anything even if it has a {$0.00} balance and I did n't pay them. She assured me that there was no other way of reporting this to the CRA as removed but I know that it has been done before. She told me to call the CRA again and ask them when will it be removed.
