Debt was paid
Complaint: On XXXX I received a debt collection notice for {$1500.00} for a closed XXXX cellular account. This debt, however, was paid via XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Initially, XXXX did not provide me with a closing bill ( the process took 6 weeks and a complaint to the California Public Utilities Commission before they finally sent it to me via email ). Since I was set-up on " auto-pay '' with XXXX, they charged my XXXX on file - which I charged back with my card issuer while the final amount/bill were in dispute. Upon receipt of the bill, I reversed the chargeback in full ( {$1500.00} ) with my XXXX XXXX and have a statement to that effect.
I have contacted XXXX corporate no less than 10 times via email, explaining the situation, providing statement copies and a transaction number - only to have XXXX tell me that they " never received the payment ''. XXXX maintains the transaction went through on their end - and again - provided me with a transaction # and confirmation code. To date, two weeks into the dispute process, I have not been given anything further - other than threats of further collection efforts and damage to my credit. I need the CFPB to please intervene here. I am willing and able to produce all documentation, including the endless email trail with XXXX, to prove that my final bill was paid - IN FULL.

Debt was result of identity theft
Complaint: Hi, I was a telephone subscriber through XXXX XXXX with the account number ( Account : XXXX ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I cancelled my account ( single phone only with one number ) with XXXX XXXX after ensuring that all balances were fully paid and that any remaining equipment as per the terms of my existing lease was returned. I ported my number to XXXX XXXX and have used that service to this day.
In XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX letting me know that I owe them {$240.00}. Upon contacting customer service I was informed someone reactivated my account on XXXX XXXX and obtained a phone.I did not authorize this and had no knowledge of this action as I had already ported onto another service and no longer even had a XXXX XXXX online account to even confirm these findings. To stop any further transactions as a result of financial identity theft I immediately asked for the account to be re-closed and asked XXXX XXXX to start a fraud investigation. Upon their request, I also filed a report with XXXX Police documenting the theft of my financial identity ( REPORT NUMBER : XXXX ) XXXX XXXX then claimed that they believe someone who was previously on my account before its closing may be responsible and demanded that I produce a police report naming them to let this fraud be not deemed my responsibility. I contacted XXXX police and they informed me that since for me to file a specific complaint such as demanded by XXXX XXXX, I would need to know where the fraud happened and when. Despite numerous calls to XXXX XXXX to resolve this matter they have refused to give me this information and then subsequently passed the account which has ballooned to over {$800.00} now onto a collections agency called Receivables Performance Management.
I contacted them too to give them the information in XX/XX/XXXX I have detailed above, but was recently surprised to see that they have reported negative information to two different credit bureaus - XXXX and XXXX at this time and a loss of XXXX points on my XXXX XXXX. I am opening disputes with both of them to address this issue.
I am requesting that this debt be cleared from my name as I have not authorized it in any fashion and have been a victim of financial identity theft. I am happy to work with XXXX XXXX or the collection agency to file additional reports if needed but request a path to ensuring my financial record is not damaged due to no fault of mine. Thank you.

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: On or about XXXX 2016, I received a call from XXXX about my son 's phone bill that was past due by XXXX. I had signed for the phone account. I gave them my sons girlfriends phone number to contact him since they had his phone shut off. I never heard another word from XXXX. I never knew it went unpaid. My son lives in Illinois and I in MS and we do n't talk a lot. I did not know anything about a collection until I checked my annual credit report a few weeks ago. They had my phone number, they could have called me back, they could have said we need you to pay or it will be sent to collection but none of this happened. I was living in Illinois at the time he got the phone trying to take care of him because he has a mental illness but was able to come home shortly after getting the phone account for him. I had my mail forwarded but never received a bill from XXXX.
I have very good credit and have worked for many years to get it that way. There is no way I would ever let a bill go to collection. I feel like I have been wronged by XXXX. I would have been more than willing to pay the {$300.00} rather than ruin my credit I worked so many years to acquire.

Debt was paid
Complaint: I have a collection on my credit report from Receivables Performance Management. I was not aware of this collection until a review of my credit report inXX/XX/XXXX. This collection is from XXXX XXXX XXXX. By the way, I currently have service with XXXX XXXX XXXX. InXX/XX/XXXX when I paid the bill that 's being reported to my credit, it was paid to XXXX XXXX XXXX not Receivables Performance Management. I have no contract with this company nor any knowledge of this debt being reported to any outside collection agency. I 've made multiple attempts to get this agency to remove this collection, but now when I call them, they tell me I have to speak with a manager, place me on hold for extended periods of time and disconnect the call before I 've even spoken with anyone. I would just like this collection removed and I am making this complaint as I 'm not getting assistance dealing with the Collection Agency.

You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: I informed Receivables Performance Management LLC that they were calling me repetedly and at an inconvenient time due to my work schedule on XX/XX/XXXX. The very next day XX/XX/XXXX they called me 4 separate times between the hours of XXXX CST and XXXX XXXX. I called back and spoke to supervisor who told me the phone " sometimes messes up ''. I have NEVER heard of a dialer being set to call 1 individual 4 times so I believe that is a lie and these calls were placed intentionally. It is a harassing practice for a dialer to be set that way. She told me I would not be contacted again. I told her I wish to be contacted by mail only, she assure me that would be the case going forward. 1 hour later at XXXX CST they called me again! I tried to leave my desk at work and go to a quiet place and the reprentative repeatedly said my name loudly and rudely, then they must have reviewed the notes on my account becasue as I was speaking they hung up on me. I tried to call back and I was placed on hold and left there, I finally hung up after 10 minutes of waiting.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I paid my XXXX bill through XX/XX/XXXX and had my service disconnected. XXXX wanted {$200.00} more so they charged my credit card {$200.00} without my knowledge or consent. I have disputed the charge. XXXX XXXX returned the {$200.00} to me. I have attached a document to prove this. I believe this is a case of age discrimination. I am XXXX years old.
They charged a card that I rarely use, which I think, was an attempt to hide the theft. Since my service was disconnected on XX/XX/XXXX, what is this bill for? I am sending proof that I have not missed any XXXX payments to XX/XX/XXXX. All XXXX bills are paid one month in advance. The last bill I paid was XX/XX/XXXX. This bill was for XXXX. I have proof the {$63.00} charge is for XX/XX/XXXX. I am also sending proof that a XXXX statement states I do n't owe the bill. They must have decided to charge me the {$63.00} after they failed to steal the {$200.00} dollars. On one statement it shows all equipment was returned yet XXXX still decided to charge me {$200.00} plus {$61.00} the total {$260.00}. The physical address on all XXXX statements is not XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Arkansas XXXX. I have moved in the last month. XXXX has turned this over to Receivables Performance Management XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, WA XXXX for collection. The XXXX statements prove I do n't owe the bill. I will upload all statements. Both XXXX and Receivables Performance Management have harassed me constantly. Receivables Performance Management did so without checking to see if I owed the bill.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: Receivables performance is posting a collection account on my credit for {$87.00} - the original creditor was XXXX - the issue is that I moved, and XXXX installed services at my new residence, but was unable to provide continuous services at that address, the service was spotty and intermittent at best - I called them to cancel services, because they were not able to hold up their end of our contract, and they terminated service, they came out and picked up the receiver boxes etc ... I am not liable for this XXXX, as I was not the one who initiated the termination of contract, the company XXXX was unable to provide services at my residence, therefore they were unable to hold up their end of our contract.

Called before 8am or after 9pm
Complaint: Several times in the past week, Recievables Performance Management LLC has contacted me before 7 am. The people calling can not even communicate ( though I asked where they were from and what it was about repeatedly, I could never understand until I got a letter a few days later ). Furthermore, the supposed debt they are trying to collect is completely bogus, but that 's for another complaint.

Called before 8am or after 9pm
Complaint: I have been receiving multiple phone calls since XXXX 2017 from Receivables Performance. At all hours of the day & night. The calls sometimes started at XXXX or XXXX XXXX & have n't ended after XXXX XXXX. These phone calls are on my home phone & cellular phone. It has caused me unnecessary XXXX. I NEVER received a letter from this company I only found it on my credit report when trying to find out who these people we 're. I also searched on the internet for the phone numbers they we 're calling me from. They also call from a foreign number which has three to seven digits & they made me go through lot 's of thing 's in order to have them identify themselves. I have been repeatedly stalked by different men through the years so, naturally I assumed it was someone from the past trying to find me. I got very scared to the point I had difficulty sleeping due to the XXXX. Most of the time the person calling is a robo call or in the rare occasion it is a person they will only say their first name. I have blocked their phone calls for a while but, sometimes they get through on other phone numbers. In one day I bet I was called at least 10 times. I got very tired of dealing with these people. It grew quite frustrating. Acct ending in XXXX XXXX
