Complaint: I applied for a credit card with PennFed Credit Union on 11/21/2017. Before doing so, I had paid for my credit score directly from XXXX via XXXX 's website, and my credit score was XXXX. PennFed denied my application for credit over the telephone and followed up with a letter stating the reasons for the denial. The letter was dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and stated the reasons for the denial were 1. Proportion of balance to credit limits on revolving accounts is too high. ( This is not accurate - I had five individual credit cards totaling {$14000.00} in limits - XXXX XXXX {$9500.00}, XXXX XXXX {$4000.00}, XXXX XXXX {$1000.00}, XXXX XXXX {$300.00}. My total outstanding balance was on XXXX XXXX at {$3800.00} and the balance on XXXX was {$220.00}. XXXX XXXX was {$0.00} ). My total utilization ratio was 27 %, nowhere near the limits and a low utilization by industry standards ). I explained this on the phone to the loan representative on the phone. He did not take this into consideration and instead stated that I had only authorized user accounts on my credit report and that PennFed did not take these into consideration. I again pointed out the four credit card revolving accounts that are mine, individually and show on the report. He then mentioned a delinquent account on a mortgage on the report and said it was recent. I asked which account and he pointed to XXXX XXXX XXXX short sale that was back in XXXX. We are almost in XXXX. I stated that it was a short sale and XXXX is ancient history, not recent. He had no reply to that explanation and then stated that they wanted to see a longer payment history on my current cards. I finally lost patience with this young kid who apparently did not know how to read a credit report accurately, listen to a customer 's explanations, and was declining the application on inaccurate statements, as well as violating fair credit lending laws in the process. The letter that arrived from PennFed stated three reasons for the decline : 1 ) Proportion of balances to credit limits on revolving accounts is too high. 2 ) Too many accounts with balances. 3 ) Time since delinquency is too recent or unknown. So the first two reasons, while being redundant, were also wholly inaccurate. The third one is inaccurate and vague. My revolving accounts have a perfect credit history. The phone representative had only asked about a XXXX short sale - 6 years ago is not recent. PennFed has declined my application based on complete inaccuracies. I am friends with a neighbor lady who was approved a year ago for {$5000.00} from PennFed on a credit card, only 8 months after she had declared Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy, had only two authorized user accounts from her long XXXX father on her credit report, and was making minimum wage. I know of another friend that was approved for a {$23000.00} auto loan with a credit report that had nothing except two authorized user credit cards on it. How is PennFed making accurate, fair, and consistent lending decisions? I was unfairly denied credit based on inaccurate reasons. I did call back to speak to a manager on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and to again explain away the wrong denial reasons provided on the letter. The lady on the call refused to reconsider the application.

Complaint: This involves a car loan ( XXXX ). The first issue I have is that the credit union was misleading in omitting to inform me of fees associated with the payment of the loan. In this case, now that I paid off the loan is when I learned there is " {$35.00} '' fee for the credit union recording a lien with WI 's DMV. Second, I have been in contact with the credit union since XXXX.17 about my issues and have requested several times proof that the credit union paid this fee and that the matter be escalated to someone with authority to dig deeper into my request. So far, nothing. They claim the paid it, but that there is no invoice/documentation for it. What if the fee was actually {$5.00}? {$0.00}?

Complaint: I ( Member # : XXXX ) have been trying to work through penfed member services regarding my Home Equity Line of Credit account. I made a check payment on a void check of {$950.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I called customer service on XX/XX/XXXX as the check recipient told me that payment bounced due to insufficient funds. I paid {$950.00} using my other bank account in the hope that this void check wo n't clear. I also sent an email on XX/XX/XXXX in this regard with no response till now. After multiple calls to the penfed member services, someone sent me the stop payment document on XX/XX/XXXX. I sent the completed stop document form on XX/XX/XXXX. I was told by the member service rep that I will get my money back. I was also appalled by the lack of call information being stored in your company systems. Unless a rep notates on an account, there is no record of prior calls. So, a penfed member has to tell the same story multiple times ( in my case 7-8 times ). I called back penfed services again on XX/XX/XXXX and was forwarded to the supervisor XXXX XXXX. She told me that money is out from my account and she can not do anything about this. I told her multiple times that why this was not brought during my first call with penfed on XX/XX/XXXX when I brought this issue. XXXX should have advised me for stop payment on the first call and protect me as a customer. Now, I 'm out of {$950.00} with no recourse. If I was given right information on the first call, I would have done stop payment on this check. I called back XXXX again in XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to XXXX. She mentioned that she was able to get hold of XXXX XXXX ( bank that cashed void check of {$950.00} ) and she is going to file a dispute for {$90.00}. I called back in XX/XX/XXXX and penfed could not find in their records any conversation I had with XXXX. My call was handled by another customer service supervisor and she told me that she will get me the copy of the void check. I have not gotten anything yet. I 'm a bit disappointed by the lack of knowledge and call resolution by the member services team in this case. I would request you to add {$950.00} back to my account since this was due to lack of help and support from penfed customer service. I count on my bank to protect me and advise me the right way. Complaint: I am a 19 year member of Pentagon Federal Credit Union ( PENFED ). Some time during the month of XXXX, I unknowingly discovered that my checking account was closed due to a fraudulent check that had been deposited into my account. Since that time, I have repeatedly asked/questioned this ( alleged ) check that was deposited into my account to no avail. Instead, I have repeated accusations hurled at me that I deposited the check via mobile deposit ( which I do n't have and have never used ) and then visiting an ATM machine to withdraw the monies from the fraudulent check. Here again, I NEVER did the acts that I am repeatedly been accused of. If this were n't enough, and to add further insult to injury, I am homeless ( since XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ) for which PENFED has full knowledge of. Yet, in another failed attempt to resolve the matter at hand-including an issue with an Overdraft that PENFED overdrafted and now hold me accountable, XXXX was able to retrieve the check in question. Based on the information he provided, the memo section of the check had 'insurance ' and the signature did not match mine. Hence, I am expecting this matter to move forward into being resolved. Unbeknownst to me, XXXX consults another individual named, XXXX whom he puts on the line and not divulging that he too was still on the line. XXXX, hurled accusations at me including 'you gave your login information to an individual who approached you wanting to make a deal, etc and then you immediately withdrew {$340.00} two days after the check was deposited. ' I was totally infuriated by the slanderous accusations ; but my words or rebuttal of these heinous acts fell on deaf ears. I did not commit any of these acts. What funds were withdrawn from my account represented a direct deposit of earnings from XXXX/XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) but this was repeatedly overlooked. After an intense heated argument with both XXXX and XXXX, XXXX ultimately said they would not investigate as fraud because I was 'suspicious ' because of the withdrawal of funds. Yet, he acknowledged several deposits and withdrawals from XXXX/XXXX ; but refused to acknowledged the one that I raised. Instead, have me guilty of withdrawing funds from my account after ( allegedly ) depositing a fraudulent check into my account. Then XXXX going to tell me he would mail the statement to me after already being aware that I am homeless. Yet, claims this was n't in the notes. Another person, XXXX XXXX, whom I spoke to previously, scolded/chastised me by giving me an impromptu lesson on Identity Theft. I was deeply offended and insulted. Yet, he claimed he wanted to help. XXXX XXXX also was equally as offensive. This matter has been ongoing since XXXX and has grown worse. Despite wanting an amicable resolution to the problem, we are clearly at an impasse.

I have circled the items I dispute on the attached copy of the report I received. This complaint is Pentagon Federal Credit Card late payment reporting of {$15.00} dollars not paid for XXXX. This credit card was paid in full in XXXX and then Pentagon automated system pulled the full payment again and I had a large credit amount of {$2100.00}. I then requested the credit card to reimburse me for the overpayment but to make sure all money due was paid so that next month my balance would be 0. I did not want to leave the auto pay on because they double pull the amounts sometimes like they did in XXXX. Please see XXXX statement for verification. I have enclosed the last four statements so you can see that the {$180.00} charge was paid in full back in XXXX. They also never updated my correct address and all statements went to wrong address. As my card expired in XXXX they sent a new card I never received to old address. This is after verbal conformation that XXXX their customer care representative changed the address to the correct one back in XXXX. I have also enclosed a letter with a recent date from XXXX XXXX stating the account is up to date. XXXX XXXX has denied my dispute with all three credit bureaus and will not change my account from late. Please investigate this as soon as possible as I am closing on a mortgage and this is gravely affecting us financially and my familys personal wellbeing. My score went from XXXX to XXXX in one day. This does not seem fair to someone who has never missed a credit card payment in his life, 47 years. Especially since I over paid the amount and XXXX XXXX credited the wrong amount back. With no statements to alert me or phone calls or emails and I am thinking this card has no balances. If something is not clear or you need more information please contact me. I am also inclined if this is not resolved in a timely manner in reporting this to my states attorney general office. Complaint: I called XXXX XXXX XXXX on or about XXXX XXXX to inquire if they were able to or willing to finance vehicles with a salvage title ( the salvage title status with THE first subject that I brought up ). I was told " yes '' by the representative on the phone and I went through the steps to become a credit union member and applied for the auto loan on the same phone call ( the vehicle 's VIN number was given to the rep. for XXXX pricing to be obtained ). I was approved for the full asking price on the spot per the representative and received instructions on how to fund my loan for said salvage title vehicle. I moved forward a week later ( after some due diligence on the status of the vehicle ) and opted to have checks for the full amount of the vehicle purchase, as well as promissory note sent overnight to my address. I later signed and returned one of the 2 promissory notes enclosed ( one copy for my files ) and brought the check to the dealer to purchase the car but the check was not honored by the bank ( XXXX ). I called XXXX to find out if I missed a step or if the check was endorsed incorrectly and I was told that they could only finance 50 % of the vehicle 's XXXX value but with my credit score they were not able to do that amount. I have asked for an upper level representative to call me but no one has called me to resolve this issue. I have already taken possesion of the vehicle and as per the XXXX member website this loan remains under my name and my first payment was due on XXXX XXXX. I have included the screen shot where I HAVE PAID THE FIRST PAYMENT ON THIS LOAN ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE REFUSED TO FUND IT. I 'm not sure what else to do. I mentioned to the rep I had been very forthcoming on the first phone call regarding the this vehicle 's salvage title and never kept it a secret.

Complaint: The pentagon Credit card seems committed fraud against credit card holder, usually it takes three business days for pending transaction to post and when it post will be added to my balance but now since XXXX2017 Pentagon Creditcard about {$600.00}, transactions that posted it doublicated and stayed pending and the charges added again to my balance, I called pentagon creditcard I told the rep if you check my current and recent charges ( they are categorized differently and shouldnt doublicate and if the charge post it should automatically changes from pending status and only once can be added to balance and if these transactions happens to be at month end shouldnt THE INTEREST SHOULDNT BE CHARGED TWICE and closed because Im being charged interest twice and it is fraud, eventually the pending charge will dropped but the interest charges already calculated twice at closing monthly statement, THIS IS FRAUD, Im attaching two exhibits Recent and Current transaction during monthly closing statement with twice interest charges. Please review the exhibits the extra interest calculated in closed monthly statement.

In their website they have below the rates table an statement excluding Puerto Rico from the table and when I called customer service they are .50 % higher than the ones showed. All vacation checks refunds from taxes.
