Complaint: If you look at my payments and their effects on my XXXX XXXX Balance, you will notice they have been going down. For instance, for statement closing date XX/XX/XXXX, it was {$1900.00}. For the next statement, XX/XX/XXXX, it went down to {$1700.00}. The next statement, XX/XX/XXXX, it was {$1500.00}. However, per the XX/XX/XXXX statement, despite there being no cash advances on my part, or even purchases, PenFed XXXX up my XXXX XXXX balance to {$2700.00} - an increase to {$1100.00} or 74 % increase. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and was on hold for a little over 12 minutes. I then e-mailed PenFed. I got a response that they would get back to me in 2 to 3 business days, but PenFed has not contacted me.

Struggling to pay mortgage

Mortgage: FHA mortgage

Complaint: First Complaint filed XXXX - XXXX -2017. This is the second complaint filed because the bank lied in their rebuttal letter. I received a letter from Pentagon Federal Credit Union dated XXXX XXXX , 2017, hardship letter and another letter them charging me another attorney fee for being late. This Banking institution denied two home modifications and I have paid an enormous amount of money in attorney fees to their banking institution. In addition, to my mortgage payment that I am struggling to pay and my current payment arrears my home flooded on XXXX - XXXX -2017 see pictures enclosed. Pentagon Federal Credit Union sent a modification application and a denial letter included inside of the application before I even had the chance to complete the forms. I have enclosed the hardship withdrawal letter that pentagon federal sent and the denial letter so this will be there third denial for a loan modification. This institution even has people coming to my house to see if I want to sale the property all hours of the night. There is a number listed on Pentagon Federal Credit Union to call XXXX XXXX at XXXX and I have called 27 times since receiving this letter and no response. I feel unsafe to stay in the house because I feel that someone at this bank has it in for me and really want this house Please Help!!

Problem with additional products or services purchased with the loan
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, VA XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this letter to bring to your attention the failure of Pentagon Federal Credit Union ( PenFed ) to pay out on a gap insurance policy on a vehicle loan I purchased from them when obtaining that loan in XXXX 2016 for a XXXX XXXX van. This issue with PenFed has been on-gong since XXXX, 2016 without either contact from, or any attempts to resolve.
In XXXX of 2016, this vehicle was vandalized while parked where I had been staying for the evening. In XXXX of 2016, the van was vandalized a second time, much more extensively, while parked at my residence, rendering it completely non-functional and inoperable. The van was taken to a salvage yard in XXXX XXXX, and a police report was filed.
Shortly after, I delivered the paperwork from the salvage yard to XXXX XXXX, Senior Manager at the XXXX branch of Pentagon Federal. This was when the real problems began. I was given the phone number to PenFeds third-party insurance provider, whom I called and provided with all the relevant information. I had not been told at the time of purchase that the insurance was not offered through PenFed itself.
What I have experienced since then has been a never-ending chain of deferrals, voice mails, un-returned phone calls, and threatening notices of default sent to the vehicles co-signer. I have opened a case with PenFeds third-party provider not once, but three times, each time to find out that my case information later disappeared, unable to be found, whereupon I am told my only recourse is to begin the process again. No one from PenFed has ever personally reached out to me or responded to any of my complaints, despite receiving them in writing. And again, the case files with their third-party provider keep vanishing.
In short, PenFed is refusing to pay out the gap insurance policy which I purchased at the time of the loan and was led to believe I was purchasing from them. They are refusing in spite of my having provided them with ample evidence that the vehicle is totaled and inoperable due to no fault of my own.
PenFeds ongoing refusal to honor the gap insurance policy which I purchased from them has caused me financial hardship. Unable to use the van, and faced with PenFeds unwillingness to pay out on the policy which they sold me, I became unable to continue working.
Please take action.
Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX

Other problem
Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/2017, I filed complaint ( XXXX ) against Pentagon Federal Credit Union ( PFCU ), PFCU after receiving the CFPB 's complaint submission on XXXX/XXXX/2017 PFCU assigned XXXX XXXX TO MY DISPUTE but she closed it on XXXX/XXXX/2017 with no explaintion what so ever I had submitted documents via email that was linked to the dispute that I opened on XXXX/XXXX/2017 and since PFCU were backed logged due to the merger, did not review my dispute until CFPB 's complaint submission and now it was closed without any investigation according to XXXX nobody from PFCU contacted them either, why PFCU assigned XXXX XXXX? is it to satisfy the CFPB only and to closed because they are still backed logged I believe the dispute process may takes 30 to 60 days from opening and closing and other side has 30 days to respond to it that PFCU did n't do nor followed our agreement at time of obtains the credit card please reopen my complaint and check why it was closed prematurely I reported the fraud to PFCU and they replaced my credit card but $ XXXX+ {$320.00} of my money still that was not returned. Thanks.

Incorrect information on your report

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account status incorrect
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has erroneously reported my account as 30 days late in XX/XX/XXXX when, during the official dispute process, I included a PDF copy of my transaction record showing the payment made on-time.I disputed a XX/XX/XXXX 30 day late via XXXX 's dispute process and submitted a transaction statement ( directly from the website ) that shows 2 months of debit payments from my savings account to my XXXX " loan '' account ( XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ). XXXX, nor XXXX considered this, or other submitted documents, that prove timely payments and suggest an error on the creditors part. I was a member of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( " XXXX '' ) since XX/XX/XXXX ; I had XXXX credit product, a XXXX card ( " loan '' ) displayed on my XXXX credit report as " account # XXXX. '' XXXX XXXX XXXX bought XXXX around XX/XX/XXXX, and just recently ( XX/XX/XXXX ), Pentagon Federal Credit Union ( " XXXX XXXX' ) bought XXXX XXXX XXXX ; However, XXXX STILL shows the XXXX account as XXXX XXXX ( XXXX never updated the name changes ). The process of merging, transferring, and issuing new account numbers were phased-in by XXXX over three months : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. 'My accounts ' page included my savings account and I would pay my XXXX by simply transferring money from the savings account to the XXXX account ( " loan '' ) : I provided that documentation ( " transaction record '' ) to XXXX showing this activity for XX/XX/XXXX AND XX/XX/XXXX, through XX/XX/XXXX ; this PROVES that my payment was made and was not 30 days late. Furthermore, when I click on the " Historical Account Information '' link I see that XXXX FCU has supplied XXXX with incomplete, erroneous, and contradictory information, yet XXXX continues to report it in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. For instance : the " Date of Last Payment '' row says " XX/XX/XXXX, '' and the " Amount Past Due '' row says " XXXX '' for the months XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX. The account was closed XX/XX/XXXX, yet XXXX is reporting that it was closed in XX/XX/XXXX. The numerous errors on the reporting of this account is causing me a financial hardship and interfering with my ability to obtain other credit products.

Other problem
Complaint: I recently discovered that I was potentially eligible for protections under the Servicemembers ' Civil Relief Act ( SCRA ) and attempted to submit documentation to that effect to the Pentagon Federal Credit Union ( PFCU ). The person to whom I spoke was not aware of the program and did not know the procedure and stated that he would submit the documentation ( my Status Report pursuant to Servicemembers Civil Relief Act ). However, their specialist, who does not appear to understand the concept of XXXX XXXX, stated that this was unacceptable as I do not have an actual end date associated my activation. I attempted to explain that I was and have been for the last 11 years, an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that has never left service.
She then stated that my only remedy was that I needed a letter certifying that I was on XXXX XXXX. The letter is attainable, although I have previously requested this numerous time and I feel this is becoming onerous as I have tried to do this process before with similar results where the process just drags on even though it is required by law.
The documentation, which is provided and signed, by the Department of Defense - XXXX XXXX XXXX is a government document created and accessed through : XXXX XXXX XXXX. It is the most current database of DoD personnel and is used throughout the industry. I feel that as PFCU is a military-oriented credit union with numerous DoD personnel as members understands this process and it just attempting to make it more onerous for members to receive the benefits to which they are due. I appreciate any assistance with this matter.
Thank you for your time.
