Complaint: I made my payments fully at the end of my billing cycle. This was very important because I needed to show 0 % utilization on my card. I am in the middle of purchasing a home and credit card utilization can hurt my score.
Penfed incorrectly reported that I had a balance on the credit card of over {$2000.00}. My credit score went down 14 points, which put me below the limit of a good interest rate and increased my payments by {$350.00} per month between higher interest rate and Mortgage Insurance.
I spoke with XXXX XXXX from customer service in Penfed Credit Union, who sent a request to the department of Credit Bureau Corrections to do a reversal and do a report of paid off balance.
Attached you can see that my credit available is {$10000.00}, which is my maximum credit, meaning that I have XXXX balance on the card due.

Complaint: Pentagon Federal Credit Union is involved in a bait and switch with veterans credit cards in relation to cash advances. They roll over cash advances and then when you go to pay instead of paying the highest rate first as they advertise they have an algorithm that partitions the payment so you never pay the lowest rate completely. Their poor customer service folks have no clue what they are doing because it was designed in the high office in collusion with IT to make it innocuous. But they are stealing from the veterans they have pledged to protect and it is offensive!
