Complaint: Midwest Recovery Systems reported a collection debt to my - Credit file on XXXX XXXX, 2016, - for {$840.00}.. I never received a 30 day disclosure of any collection activity. I filed for bankruptcy in XXXX and never knew anything about this debt until I reviewed my credit file and saw that it had dropped XXXX points as a result of this company. Midwest Recovery Systems has violated federal law by not sending me a 30 day notice to validate the collection to my address on file-. Again, this caused my credit score to drop - points and I intend seeking full restitution and damages if this is not removed from my credit file immediately. This is an illegal practice of debt selling and manipulation that violates the FCRA. If a collection company can report to a credit bureau then they sure can pull my current address to send me a letter regarding a debt. This item needs to be removed immediately from my credit file.

Complaint: Midwest Recovery Systems placed an account in collections under all three of my credit bureau reports XXXX as of XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$810.00}. I have not received any written or verbal communication from this company regarding this collection nor have they allowed me the chance to validate this debt prior to placing it into collections on my reports. My credit reports state this account went unpaid as of XXXX which is not true! I have not had any unpaid accounts in more than 7 years as I have watched my credit reports vigorously. Therefore, this can not be correct. The account number listed on the reports for this collection is # XXXX. If this company can not validate or verify this debt they are not allowed to collect it. Also, an account can not be reported if the ORIGINAL DATE OF DELINQUENCY is more than seven years. Midwest Recovery Systems will need to provide proof of the original delinquency date which is the date the account first became delinquent ( with original debtor ) and after which it was never again brought current in order to continue reporting. Complaint: I was told that I was being sued over an unpaid debt from 2012. They said I needed to turn myself into the sherriff 's office to avoid putting myself or others in danger. I have no idea what this is, but I know it 's a scam. The internet is full of complaints about this EXACT behavior, EVEN DOWN TO THE AGE OF THE DEBT ( 2012 ). They have called me repeatedly, as well as my XXXX year old mother who lives in a different state. They threaten and use any number of illegal tactics. Complaint: Received notification of newly added collections account on XXXX XXXX from Midwest Recovery stating that I owed {$1300.00} to fictious original creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The account was opened with Midwest recovery XXXX XXXX does n't even include the original date they claim I received a pay day loan from the fictious XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX company. Never once did I receive any written communication requesting that I confirm the debt in question. If the debt or account truly accurate my current address should have been in the file when transferred to Midwest Recovery for collections. I 'm more concerned that this another fraudulent account due to the theft of my identity in XXXX. This new claim has been posted on all three credit bureaus and has significantly dropped my fico score. Until then I will continue to dispute this company and how they conduct business illegally. They have violated the FCPA with there illegal reporting practices.
