Reporting company used your report improperly
Complaint: I contacted Lexis Nexis via their online form and requested to opt out due to having my personal information stolen after a home invasion. I provided the information of the police department, detective and case information. I explained that I was in fear of my safety as I was a victim of this crime and feel my safety is at risk.
I received an email back stating that the information provided did not meet their requirements to have my information concealed. I than see that they are reporting on my credit report the address of my home that was not previously listed as it was not reaffirmed and XXXX states the information is from Lexis Nexis credit reporting agency.
The public records is causing me fear for my safety and physical health and the information they are reporting to the creditors is not accurate and causing me to have problems with my credit history.
I appreciate the assistance with having the issues with Lexis Nexis resolved.
Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Investigation took more than 30 days
Complaint: The plain and simple truth is that LexisNexis failed to respond in the 30 days per FCRA.In the initial complaint no matter the substance, LexisNexis failed to respond in the 30 days per FCRA. In LexisNexis research of the judgements on XXXX XXXX file, LexisNexis failed to respond in the 30 days per FCRA. In LexisNexis not finding the bankruptcy, LexisNexis failed to respond in the 30 days per FCRA. In LexisNexis not having enough information to authenticate her identity, LexisNexis failed to respond in the 30 days per FCRA.
Not one of these factors are the fault of XXXX XXXX. LexisNexis failure does it relieve it from its obligations per FCRA

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: I have a discharged bankruptcy which was filed XX/XX/XXXX thru the Federal Bankruptcy court in XXXX, IA. I have called XXXX and filed a dispute to remove the item off of my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX since it has been over 7 years of being discharged. They directed me to contact the Federal Bankruptcy Court in XXXX to tell them to stop reporting to XXXX of the matter and they said they were not reporting to XXXX and informed me that XXXX is not a Federal agency, that they are getting their information from a 3rd party vendor who reports public information. I called XXXX on this information and they told me they would file a dispute.
I received information on the completed dispute from XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX stating they have updated my information, they are not removing the bankruptcy from my file until the year XX/XX/XXXX. Why do they get to choose this? When I filed for Chapter XXXX bankruptcy my lawyer said the bankruptcy could be removed after 7 year of my filing. XXXX is using the 3rd party vendor LexisNexis who provide public information. Why is it up to a public record company to determine my credit? My FICO score reflects this bankruptcy which has been discharged and the Federal Bankruptcy Court in XXXX told me they agree it should be taken off, they are not reporting it to XXXX, however they will not contact XXXX since they do not work with non Federal agencies. Lenders and employers look at credit scores and history to determine the kind of person I am and I do not believe I am the same person I am today as I was 7+ years ago. I do not think this should be legal to have a credit agency reporting negative information on my credit file if the place of origin is not reporting it anymore. I have waited and improved my situation and I am still being punished it seems.

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX gathered their alleged information from Lexis Nexis.credit Bureau that the information pulled from was XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I placed a suppression and freeze on all Lexis Nexis files.
Due to suppression/freeze placed on files this erroneous information should never have been reported which in part led to my application being denied.

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I filed a complaint against LexisNexis for inaccurate information they have been providing to insurance companies. Please see report # XXXX.
LexisNexis responded timely on XX/XX/XXXX. In their response LexisNexis claimed all the disputed information has been deleted. However, the updated report continued to contain the same information LexisNexis claimed was removed. ( see attachments ) " LexisNexis removed said claims fromXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . Auto insurance report. '' ( see attachments ).
So either, LexisNexis never followed through and removed this information or LexisNexis never followed through and mailed me an UPDATED report. either way, LexisNexis never completed what they claimed to have completed.
I have attached the letter LexisNexis sent to me along with the updated report. I highlighted a few examples whereas, an auto claim would contain my name but NOT me drivers license. The drivers license on most of the claims are from a family member.

Received unsolicited financial product or insurance offers after opting out
Complaint: LexisNexis sold my personal information to XXXX XXXX, without my permission or knowledge. I received unsolicited credit offers from XXXX XXXX, in the mailer that was sent they indicated that my information was received from LexisNexis I filed complaints against both companies with the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I received confirmation from XXXX XXXX that my information was put on their do not solicit list. I also received a form letter from LexisNexis indicating that my records were removed from publicly facing records products they did not indicate if my information would be removed from additional unsolicited offers. LexisNexis also has 3 levels of opt-out they did not indicate which level I am enrolled in. I have tried to resolve this through the XXXX and their call center, but have not had luck. In addition they print false and misleading phone numbers indicating that there is a LexisNexis Privacy Hotline XXXX which does not exist and sends consumers directly to their call center with no help whatsoever. I ask that the government invest the business practices and data practices of LexisNexis.

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I placed a security freeze and file suppression on my consumer file with LexisNexis. On XX/XX/XXXX I received credit reports from XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX that contained inaccurate information about a bankruptcy. XX/XX/XXXX I sent all bureaus dispute information for the inaccurate information on my reports as well as a letter to the court that the bankruptcy was listed under. XX/XX/XXXX I received response from BK court stating they do not verify bankruptcies and have no information on file for me with the given information from my credit reports. I also received credit reports from all 3 bureaus stating in writing that the information reported about the BK was verified by LexisNexis. XX/XX/XXXX I called LexisNexis who verified I had placed said freeze and suppression of consumer file XX/XX/XXXX and that they DID NOT provide verification information to any of the credit bureaus. I now believe that there was no verification at all and theses bureaus are purposely reporting inaccurate information on consumer files.

Information belongs to someone else
Complaint: XXXX continues to repost and report inaccurate information from an accident that occurred over 5 YEARS AGO. At that time XXXX admitted to me the client that it was not my fault, and that i shouldn't have been at fault after they did a second investigation. They had advised me it was too late as they had already paid the other driver and that i should go ahead and sue them. This was coming from a XXXX employee. Well, they removed the information a few years ago since it was reporting inaccurately. Just recently they readded this information to my LexisNexus report, which is causing issues for me to be able to get insurance and is causing several other issues. I believe this information is not only being inaccurately reported. The police officer left the scene when i was in an ambulance and covered up the other driver running a stop sign. XXXX removed the information because they agreed it was inaccurate and false. I have attempted to work with XXXX and LexisNexus. LexisNexus reports this information as updated yet it's still showing on there and advised me to contact statefarm. It's a back and forth cycle i want this information corrected. As Information shouldn't be on a report past 5 years anyways. Per Texas state law.

Public record information inaccurate
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I found after several phone calls and investigative questions that a company by the name of LexisNexis reported false and derogatory information regarding an accident that I was involved with onXX/XX/XXXXin the fact that according to XXXX XXXX, their 3rd party reporting company " LexisNexis '' provided a report stating that the NE DMV records purportedly revealed that I was " At Fault '' pursuant to a Nebraska DMV record they pulled. Because of this information, my rates were provided at an increase for insurance product. In arguing the finding I was told that XXXX used this 3rd party reporting company and that there was nothing that could be done ... WHAT??? So I'm just supposed to sit back and eat that proverbial sandwich? Not hardly!
I immediately contacted the Nebraska DMV who provided ( at the cost of {$3.00} ) a report that clearly states " An entry for an accident which may appear below is for statistical purposes only and does not indicate a determination of fault '' and went on to describe the date and report number of this accident. Further, the Gentlemen at the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles stated that they do not provide any information of guilt or not for an accident, so they do not know where XXXX or LexisNexis would have pulled this information.
I then personally drove to the XXXX NE Police Department and obtained a copy of the police report from the accident which CLEARLY INDICATES that the other driver was AT FAULT AND XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, causing me bodily harm and totaling the vehicle in which I WAS DRIVING.
This blatant and outright defamatory information that this 3rd party company " LexisNexis '' is providing to XXXX knows who is absolutely uncalled for and erroneous in every fashion with respect to this matter, in addition it has cost me at this point over 3 hours of my time and personal expense to correct an issue that absolutely otherwise does not exist in any NE DMV or XXXX Police Department or public office.
I find this to be a gross negligence of their actions and a dereliction of their responsibility to properly report the public findings on me, and if this information is incorrect, what else is, and who else have they done this to that may or may not realize it ; especially when at the end of the day their negligence causes a rate increase that is not warranted or called for and blemishes my otherwise impeccable driving record!

Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Complaint: There are several issues I have with Lexis Nexis : Problem with a credit reporting company 's investigation into an existing problem and Improper use of your report ( shared without consent, credit inquiries from unknown sources.
A Freeze and a Suppression was placed with Lexis Nexis last year. Lexis Nexis continues to sell/share my information with the XXXX and XXXX. Lexis Nexis has also released my information to creditors, well after the freeze and suppression. Lexis Nexis continue to state that the US Federal Court has given them Bankruptcy information. The Court has sent me a letter stating it doesn't share information with credit reporting agencies, due to privacy laws. Per my Lexis Nexis report, Lexis Nexis states that it contacted the bankruptcy court directly and was told that I had a bankruptcy. I requested information from Lexis Nexis to disclose to me who at court told them I had a bankruptcy ; but Lexis Nexis has ignored my requests and have failed to properly investigate. LN has released information to several creditors, such as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX for insurance. I have sent subsequent investigation letters, and I feel that I have been ignored. My LN reports shows that I have a business. I HAVE NEVER OWNED OR CO-OWNED ANY BUSINESS!
