Complaint: I have not heard back from LexisNexis regarding a credit report dispute, and it has now been 60 days. I opened a dispute with LexisNexis on XX/XX/2018. The case number that I have refers to this date in the number. I have phoned LexisNexis 3 times in the past month, each time speaking to someone who tells me that the dispute is still in process and that perhaps staff made an error on the date. I have been told twice over the phone that the dispute has been escalated due to LexisNexis error on the date of filing the dispute. One representative ( XXXX ) told me that when I called the first time to check on it after 30 days, the date was changed to that date, XX/XX/2018.
About the dispute itself : LexisNexis is reporting incorrect information to XXXX on my personal credit report regarding a bankruptcy. An update that appears in court records is not reflected on the record included on the XXXX report. XXXX has verified that it received the information from LexisNexis.
The bankruptcy case was a discharged Chapter XXXX, not a Chapter XXXX as reported. I disputed the Chapter number of the bankruptcy that was reported.1 ) I am requesting a correction to the Chapter number 2 ) As it has been 7 years since filing, I am requesting this bankruptcy be removed from reporting by LexisNexis .
