Fee problem
Complaint: XX/XX/2019 : Insufficient Fund Fees of {$34.00} XX/XX/2019 : Insufficient Fund Fee Of {$34.00} XX/XX/2019 : Insufficient Fund Fee of {$34.00} XX/XX/2019 : Insufficient Fund Fee Of {$34.00} I called Chase Bank To Resolve These Debits Of The Various {$34.00} Fees. All I was told was I'm Sorry, it is against our policy to remove these fees by the banker on the phone. I also talked with the manager on the phone and was told by the manager that there was nothing he could do, and the insufficient fund fees remained. I was told I needed to keep an eye on my statements in the future, and was treated very rudely. I told the Manager I received a small XXXX check as my only source of income, he rudely denied my request to remove and credit the four {$34.00} fees.

Application denied
Complaint: I have received a solicitation to apply for a XXXX XXXX credit card, which I did. After I applied I got declined by Chase with the reason of having too many recent accounts that were opened. This caused me to get a new inquiry on my credit report. If CHASE was going to decline me knowing this information already, then they should not have solicited me to apply for the credit card.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a transfer of {$1000.00} through Online Banking using my Chase account. Chase uses XXXX to transfer funds. On the day of the transfer, the recipient, who uses telephone number XXXX XXXX XXXX and is also a Chase customer, received a text message regarding the funds. This transfer had been successfully processed in the past to the same person. The next day the intended recipient advised me that the money was not in his account. The funds should have been immediately in the account since the transfer was already on file. After a few days of nonreceipt of funds, I initiated a claim with Chase and was provided with a provisional credit. On XXXX XXXX, my Chase account, to my surprise, was showing as overdrawn. Chase had debited the {$1000.00} and sent me a letter indicating that they had completed the research for the transaction reported on XX/XX/2019 and that the claim is now closed. That same day, I went to a Chase branch ( XXXX XXXX XXXX., XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX ) and was advised that there was nothing they could do for me since the transaction was completed through XXXX. The staff at the branch was not helpful at all. As a matter of fact, the Branch Manager kept looking at me as if I was lying. You don't know how frustrated I felt at the moment, not knowing what to do. No one was providing solutions nor suggestions. It seemed like everyone was so careless. I spent the entire night trying to contact someone higher than a representative at XXXX but they told me they couldnt assist me. I ask them to connect me to their Claims Department. They indicated to me that they didnt have one. The only thing that I know is that the funds were sent to an account holder at XXXX who has the same number as the intended recipient at Chase and no one seems to know how that happened. The intended recipient has not changed his cellular number and in the past, the same transaction was completed successfully. I need someone to assist me and/or guide me in the right directions and what actions, if any, I need to take. It appears to me that Chase nor XXXX are taking any responsibility on this matter, in accordance with the terms and conditions.

Credit card company won't work with you while you're going through financial hardship
Complaint: I am a victim of the government shutdown and can not make any payments at this time. I wish to defer payments for at least six months so I can recover.

All companies were contacted in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX and are constantly calling.

Personal information incorrect
Complaint: I have contacted JP Morgan Chase as my name has been reported incorrectly by them. This shows on my accounts as well as on my credit report. Somehow my middle initial was merged with my first name resulting in my first name now being incorrect. The first representative I spoke to ( on XX/XX/19 ) told me that I would have to visit a local branch with documentation to have the name change completed but the closest branch is over three hours away in a different state. This representative actually hung up the phone prior to the end of the call. The second representative I spoke to ( on XX/XX/19 ) was willing to assist me, but was unable to complete the name change as his system would not allow it.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018. I was victim of a fraudulent transaction. I was under the impression I was protected by my bank. That wasnt the case. I had lost {$370.00} through Chase QuickPay and I immediately contacted my bank to file a claim. I was provided a temporary credit however, the case was dismissed and money was removed. I was told I was held liable and nothing can be done. I was given the run around to contact different departments and no assistance.
You would think that with the bank having the recipients information they can make a case about it being fraud but no one was able to help. Bank can not be trusted to help and protected customers who have been loyal to them for more than 15 years.

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, someone illegally obtained the card of an authorized user on my account. They then spent roughly {$1200.00} at XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed the fraud and immediately called Chase for protection services. During this call, they asked whether I had the cards. Either through misunderstanding or - more likely due to my XXXX - mishearing the question, I responded that I did. Subsequently, they denied the claim of fraud, and insist that I am responsible for the fraudulent charges. I have appealed the dispute multiple times with Chase, attempted to correct the record in terms of the erroneous information on the first phone call, and have even provided police reports related to the theft of the card from the authorized user, knowing full well that filing a false police report is a felony. Despite the evidence provided, Chase 's response is that there is insufficient evidence to determine the fraudulent charges were, in fact, fraudulent. Despite insistence that I am protected from fraud, Chase refuses to acknowledge that a card was taken and used for invalid purchases. When pressed, they insist the response to a single question on the initial call - which, I might point out, took place over the phone despite the fact that I am XXXX XXXX impaired - is the only factor leading to this decision.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: In the midst of both cash and credit card fraud by online theft, and telephone threats, I paid through XXXX XXXX upwards of {$1300.00}. plus {$540.00}. through a XXXX charge. XXXX was able to reclaim and reverse the charge to my account housed there in. Yet Chase Marriott has and continues to refuse the remove the fraudulent charges dated XX/XX/XXXX which included the purchase of three XXXX @ $ XXXX, and then a shipment fee at a local postage store for {$64.00} for a total of {$2100.00}, still outstanding on my Chase Marriott Visa Account. I have ordered copies of the Statement dated XX/XX/XXXX, which was the first Statement received from that company. Now I have a new account number and a new card, but still these charges have not been removed from my debt. They have become buried in the pile of debt to be collected [ or written off when I die ]. I expect to live quite a bit longer, just as both of my parents who lived into their XXXX XXXX. So carrying around this bad debt which is not my own is not ethical. That is what I told Chase Marriott again today, when requesting a dispute and removal be done. I was told multiple dates of how long after a debt was charge the account holder had to dispute the debt. It was 118 days from the date the bill was sent, or 60 days, from the date of the charge. I was also told by the Supervisor at Chase Marriott Visa today, XX/XX/XXXX that they did not have access to this statement or these charges. I do and would be more than happy to share the facsimile copy I have kept on file after asking their office for a copy of the XX/XX/XXXX stmt. issued for payment on XX/XX/XXXX. The first statement on the account. There is something very suspicious going on here and I do not intend to pay the defrauded portion of the bill and interest accumulated on it over the last five [ 5 ] years. Please advise Chase Marriott Rewards aka Marriott Rewards, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, DE XXXX that I want the total amount of charges, plus all accumulated interest to date removed from my account immediately. I know this can be done, since this within this same period of time, The XXXX XXXX charges associated with their own fraudulent activity are being redistributed to myself and others in a large law suit. Deposits and withdrawals
Complaint: This complaint is in regards to fraudulent activities on both my checking and savings accounts with Chase bank. A few days ago there were fraudulent charges coming out directly from my checking and savings accounts. I called Chase immediately to lock my accounts and file the respective fraud claims. The Chase agent said that she would freeze my accounts until I could open new accounts. Two days later, I received a Chase alert that my checking account was overdrawn. There were three more fraudulent charges made which completely had wiped out my checking account. The Chae agent did not place the freeze on the accounts. I went to the branch, filed more claims for three more fraudulent charges and opened new accounts. The next day I saw that Chase was reversing my stolen money to the compromised checking account instead of the new account. I no longer have access to the compromised account, therefore this reversal means nothing. Every Chase person I talk to tells me a different thing. The inefficiency of this company is outrageous. The branch manager said that they are doing activity with the fraudulent account because its part of the investigation, my case manager with Chase now tells me to withdraw money from the compromised account and put it into the new one, the Chase agent on the phone tells me its not up to them now to get those funds transferred to my new account. I sit here penniless, frustrated, and in disbelief of what is happening.

Non-sufficient funds and associated fees
Complaint: I have a budget, I live paycheck to paycheck, and needless to say I review my checking bank account online every evening. My last incident of many, On Monday, XX/XX/2019, I noticed that ( 2 ) charges hit the checking account, and as previously instructed by the bank customer service, Ensure to balance your account before midnight. I went to the ATM and made the deposit and the receipt shows a positive balance ( receipt attached ). The next day the bank had charged me for insufficient funds fees ( $ XXXX {$64.00} ) anyways. I called their customer service to complain and their last excuse is that I have to read the ATM receipt that explains that any deposit done in ATMs will be credited the next day. I have this account with this bank for 20 years and this the first time that customer service give me this new excuse not to waived the fees. They only allow ( 1 ) waived fee per year among many other excuses.
