Complaint: I would like to file a complaint against Chase Mortgage. I would like to make my story as simple as possible. XX/XX/XXXX I got a mortgage loan that I fully did not understand and I was not aware this type of loan should have been only for rental properties not for owner-occupied home. I was started with a teaser rate of 1.25 %. due to the financial disaster we had in XXXX I was not able to make my mortgage payment just for 2 months. even at that struggling time I made payment arrangement with the bank and I keep paying my mortgage payment according to the modification that they offered me short-term. Year XXXX when my property value has dropped about 50 % I purchased a house for XXXX XXXX in XXXX and the market value of the property when I received the modification was only XXXX Chase knew they were going to lose money and we'll get nothing for the property so they give me the loan modification with the starting rate of 1 % Cap rate of XXXX. Chase did not waive any late fees Chase did not reduce my principal balance they kept alone as his condition. I made my monthly payments on time regardless of my hardship for the past 10 years and only {$0.00} has gone to the principal of the loan everything else has been being applied to and Trust. In XXXX I was not able to afford the payment plus my other bills I applied for loan modification and Chase played the delay game asking for the same document over and over and after nine months they actually denied me any type of loan modification, I was making my monthly payment even it was not affordable for me because I did not trust chase that they will modify my loan. the loan modification is a fraud through Chase they just want to show the government that they are trying to help customers but that is a lot they do not approve loan modification for most of the Borrowers. XXXX I received a letter that my modification is not approved and I shall get ready for foreclosure to put the property with a realtor for short sale course I did not want it to be homeless at any cost so I keep making the mortgage payment regardless of my hardship I could not get health insurance pay any other bills so I am stuck as a prisoner to the loan. in XXXX Again I applied for loan modification and this time I used a third-party that submitted my paperwork to chase so I can have them as a witness but they do not help people. again it took chase a year 2 months to review my paperwork since it was beneficial to them to make sure I don't make the payment and they can foreclose easily on me. the same game they ask for the same paperwork over and over .After a year-and-a-half I received a phone call from my case manager letting me know that he is very sorry he can not modify my phone because my income is too low for modification the only option they have available would be foreclosure and that is all they can offer me. right now I am unemployed and I have been making the monthly payment on the XXXX of each month I tried to make my mortgage payment today XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX call Chase they have put a block on my account that I can not make my regular monthly payment unless I pay the late fee and I have recorded that call. the past 10 years this mortgage company has caused me XXXX XXXX XXXX bad health XXXX not being able to function on daily basis fear of being homeless and being sure that they are lying about loan modification or helping any of the customers I am an example of that. I have my payment history to prove it that I'm an honest person and I did my due diligence to pay the mortgage payment. I can no longer take this unfairness of Chase while they took Millions from the government and promised that they will help struggling homeowners that are unemployed or need help that is a lie.

Complaint: Chase received a claim on my account stating that my XXXX XXXX sender has raised a claim stating that I am a fraudulent recipient of the money that he has sent to me. Because of which Chase froze my account from withdrawal and also suspended my online account access. When I reached out to the claimant he mentioned that his wallet was stolen and that he didn't raise this claim and I and him met in front of the Chase Banker in the local chase branch and explained the situation and he also handed a hand written letter that he had written to the chase claims department specifying that he is withdrawing his claim. In spite of the physical appearance and explaining the situation to the chase branch banker and also providing the hand written letter to the banker in the branch - our case was not taken and chase still is keeping my account and his account also in frozen status and also denying all my regular bills.
Chase specifies that the fraud department has to get the fax and they have to do the investigation. But when claimant himself is physically present there and is confirming that he is withdrawing the claim and that he hasn't made the claim why is chase not accepting that statement - what authorities does the bank branch representatives have? what else is the claims fraud department going to investigate here and what are they going to find out?
When Chase is saying that they froze my account so that someone will not drain my account why are they not giving me all the money that I have in my account when I am present there physically so that no one will drain my account unauthorized and my money is protected with me.
Chase is causing more inconvenience for me and I don't see any value in their branch 's presence and the bankers are seemed to have zero authorizations to handle critical conditions and I am not sure how someone who is present somewhere with a hand written note will start investigation and confirm if that is not a fraud when we are present there physically and our identifies are verified with the drivers license and both verbal and written statements are given.
This situation and the way chase is handling the issue has made me upset for the past couple days that I am unable to eat or sleep properly and my health is weakening because of this. My bills are due and I don't have any money of my own to pay the bills and I am also worried about the late charges and finance charges that will appear in my account because chase is denying the payments.
This problem started on XX/XX/XXXX night when I was trying to access my account and noticed that my account was suspended and I called the bank to find out about the problem. I went to the Bank XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX with some additional documents and again on XX/XX/XXXX I went to the bank with the claimant. I went to the bank again on Thursday XX/XX/XXXX. I am calling the bank branch every single day about this issue. All these are not working still.
I have missed work a lot in this week because of this issue because it has impacted my health a lot. I am unable to eat or sleep well because of this issue.

Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finish
Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, after receiving a letter from XXXX about our lease, we spoke to a sales person who discussed incentives for us to return our vehicle early and get into a new lease. We were told we would have to cover the mileage but they would take care of our last ( 2 ) payments, disposition fee and wear and tear of our current lease.
On XX/XX/2018 We agreed to the terms, ended our lease of our XXXX XXXX early and were placed in a new vehicle. We were told the excessive mileage would cost a little over {$900.00} and to expect a bill in the mail.
On XXXX XXXX I was hospitalized and required to have an emergency XXXX. During recovery in early XXXX, I received a notice that my total lease liability was now {$1800.00}. I called XXXX immediately so that they could correct the error. They said they had no knowledge of the agreement and that they had only waived the disposition fee but the rest was my responsibility. Though I wanted to argue there was nothing I could do so I agreed to pay it but could not do so immediately because I was on XXXX but could pay them in full as soon as I received my taxes.
They agreed to this and called every other week for an update on when the amount would be paid off. I asked if I could at least do a payment plan but they refused. Had I been able to make payments I would have been able to remain in good standing. Sometime in XXXX, they began reporting to my credit that I was late for payment when really it was the {$1900.00} that needed to be paid in full ( my monthly payments were {$200.00} ). My fico dropped from XXXX to XXXX which had a downstream effect on my other financial obligations.
In XXXX as soon as I was off of XXXX, I paid them in full. On the advice of one of the customer service reps, I called back 5 times throughout the month of XXXX pleading for a good faith adjustment to remove the late payment information but they refused.

Complaint: On Saturday, XX/XX/2019 a post was posted by XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX for a washer/dryer. She said she would hold the item for a deposit. We are moving some time in XXXX, so holding an item until then is ideal for us. I messaged her and she said she would hold the item as long as we need. She requested I pay her husband on XXXX via $ XXXX ( listed as XXXX XXXX ). I confirmed this was her husband and I paid {$170.00}. The next morning, the post on XXXX XXXX had been removed completely ( not marked as sold ), and our entire exchange on messenger was gone. I sent her a message asking for her contact information for future reference and she will not answer. I have requested my money back from her and her husband with no responses. I have filed a police report and reported her to XXXX.
I filed a claim with Chase bank and initially they said that with XXXX XXXX there is nothing they can do. XXXX XXXX support told me that my bank should be able to file a dispute. I called Chase again and re-expained my situation, so they filed a claim. Chase put {$170.00} into my account temporarily. I received a letter on XX/XX/XXXX from Chase stating they completed the research for the claim and found that the transaction was processed correctly or authorized, and they would be removing the {$170.00} that they put in. On the letter it stated I could contact Chase if I would like to request the information used in their research. I contacted Chase and requested the information, which they said had to be sent by US mail. I had already been denied an initial request for the information of their communication with XXXX XXXX for unknown reasons. I am now waiting for the research information, which does not sound promising.

Complaint: I have been looking for a home to purchase since XX/XX/XXXX. I contacted Chase on XX/XX/XXXX, and XXXX XXXX contacted me on XX/XX/XXXX. It has been a great deal of work to find a house that was a match for us. XXXX XXXX contacted me one via telephone and twice via email. He also send me a couple of automated marketing emails. I was trying to get qualified. He did send me a prequalification letter ; however, after that he did not contact me. I then applied online and contacted Chase Mortgage directly. I then started communicating with XXXX XXXX. He sent me an updated pre-qualification letter. Then on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX sent me an updated pre-qualification letter, approved for a loan of {$160000.00}. XXXX called me around XX/XX/XXXX indicating that I need more assets than I had! I then explained to him that my expenses against my assets were in part for my son 's expenses. I sent a copy to XXXX XXXX CEO. After this Chase was still pussyfooting around. I finally went with another lender. I had received a called/Voice Mail from Chase executive office on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX. I called her back 3 times and then she called me back and said she was going to evaluate the situation. Escrow was already to get started, but Chase did not call me back. I called someone else. I was tired of Chase touch and go attitude. Then on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX calls me back and tells me Chase Mortgage denied my loan. I tried to go with Chase because I have 11 accounts with chase and over 12 years of history. I had already been qualified by 3 other lenders. And my credit score was XXXX at the time and have 100 % rate of making payments on time ; therefore, the only reason Chase turned me down was due to discrimination. Since ; Chase did not have a valid reason to turn me down and had told me I had been qualified ; however, out of the blue moon, XXXX tells me I had been turned down ; when, I had not even been working with her. For sure ; I'm changing all my 11 accounts to another bank, both personal and business. Chase has dozens of website links with thousands upon thousands of complaints and several pending lawsuits and several that Chase have lost. The XXXX XXXX XXXX even sent me an application to apply for discrimination. In addition ; there is a website : XXXX, with complaints dated as early as XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, XXXX XXXX drove from XXXX, MN to a Chase Bank branch office in XXXX XXXX, WI. XXXX XXXX presented a Chase Bank employee with a letter and documents " showing '' that he was a majority owner in the company XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX, an Illinois limited liability company ( " XXXX '' ). The document that Mr. XXXX presented was on XXXX letterhead, created by Mr. XXXX himself. The Chase Bank employee looked up XXXX on the Illinois Secretary of State website and noted to Mr. XXXX that he was NOT ( 1 ) a Manager listed on the state 's website, nor ( 2 ) a signatory on the account. Mr. XXXX persuaded the Chase Bank employee that the Illinois Secretary of State website was incorrect and that the documents that Mr. XXXX had provided should show that he should be added as a signatory.
Two days later, on XX/XX/2019, the XXXX XXXX Chase Bank added Mr. XXXX as a signatory. In those two days, Chase Bank never contacted the sole signatory on the account to verify whether Mr. XXXX should be added as a signatory. In those two days, Chase Bank never contacted the Manager listed on the Illinois Secretary of State website to verify if Mr. XXXX should be added as a signatory. In those two days, Chase Bank never contacted the Chase Bank branch office where the business account was opened and maintained to verify whether Mr. XXXX should be added as a signatory. Instead, Chase Bank added Mr. XXXX as a signatory, and then proceeded to request {$10000.00} in cash and the remaining funds in the account ( approximately {$22000.00} ) to be provided to him in a cashiers check. Chase Bank complied, and provided {$10000.00} cash to Mr. XXXX and provided the remaining amount in a cashier 's check.
XXXX learned of the fraud on Thursday, XX/XX/2019 and immediately contacted Chase Bank to report it. Chase Bank stated that someone would be in touch, providing the name " XXXX '', but that as an initial matter " Mr. XXXX provided Chase Bank with all the necessary documentation to become a signatory on the account. '' No one at Chase Bank responded all day on Friday. At COB Friday, XXXX contacted Chase Bank and spoke with " XXXX '' who said that the matter was escalated to XXXX, and he would likely call on Monday.
When XXXX did not call the morning of XX/XX/2019, XXXX called him directly and left several messages. When XXXX finally connected with XXXX later that afternoon, XXXX informed XXXX that it had not performed any investigation, but would be in touch.
On XX/XX/2019, XXXX called XXXX to state that the investigation was still ongoing, but that XXXX 's accounts were now frozen. XXXX reminded Chase Bank that XXXX was the victim as BUT FOR the Chase Bank employee 's failure to abide by internal banking policies and procedures, XXXX would still have its business funds and would not be impeded from performing its business. Although Mr. XXXX MAY HAVE provided necessary documentation, NONE of Mr. XXXX 's documentation or stories were verified by anyone at XXXX or a signatory on the account.
On XX/XX/2019, Chase Bank responded to XXXX that " Mr. XXXX provided all the necessary documentation to become a signatory on the account '' even though he was never a signatory on the account and never a manager or controller of the company at any time. XXXX XXXX was a stranger to the XXXX business account, yet Chase Bank added him as a signatory and assisted him with fraudulently withdrawing all {$32000.00} in its business account.
XXXX is stunned that Chase Bank would take this position when it is absolutely implicated in this fraud, has insurance to cover it's role in perpetrating this fraud, denies any liability in the act, and has significantly impeded XXXX 's ability to do business by not reinstating those funds.
Today, XXXX filed a complaint with the local law enforcement and the FBI. XXXX maintains Chase 's failure to adhere to its internal banking policies and procedures to prevent this fraud.
