Complaint: I got a flex loan with XXXX XXXX. The balance is now around {$4600.00} with an interest rate of 279.50 %. The payments are $ XXXX/month and I can not afford that.
I have called the company and asked about lowering the interest rate, so that I can make affordable payments. They refused to lower the interest rate. I'm not trying to get out of paying the principal back, but I see no hope in even trying with such a high interest rate.
I have learned my lesson. I will never do this again. We could work this out, if they will just be reasonable.

Complaint: Borrowed money from XXXX XXXX and now they are suing me for {$6000.00} more. I have borrowed a total of over {$4000.00} and have paid in over {$11000.00}. They are charging 279 % APR. In the fine print it says that 31 % is interest and tje rest is a customary fee! They are a predatory company. I have paid well over what is owed. How can I fight this and help others from falling into the same trap?

Complaint: I went into XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX to get a personal loan, and was approved. Over the remainder of the year, I have been making payment bi-weekly that are taken directly out of my bank account. They are charging me 279% interest rate, which is making it impossible to get this loan paid off. No to mention the fact that this is putting a huge financial strain on my family.
I have contacted them numerous times, asking what I can do to get this loan paid off and they continue to tell me I would need to make additional payments.

Complaint: Today I went into my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX onXX/XX/XXXX to take care of some business and to my surprise, the teller told me that my saving account is overdraft. I was shocked to here that. So I asked how could my account be overdraft and was told that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TN XXXX Phone : XXXX have taking {$110.00} out of my account. It 's been over a year since I had any dealings with them. They would go into my account if I did n't make my payment on time in which, I always did but on this particular day that my payment was due, I went into the branch as I had always done and the lady behind the glass who takes the payments, told me that XXXX XXXX had already taking the money out of my account and once again I was shocked that they went into my account again. So after speaking with a manager back then, I was told by their manager that I " are '' someone had check the box for them to draw money from my account, as I explained to the manager, I never signup for anyone to take money out of my account. I never authorized XXXX XXXX to draft my account. The manager went on to tell me that every employee who takes payment is " suppose '' to let all the customers know to either check the box to have XXXX XXXX to debit the customer account. I explained to that manager I do n't want their company going into my account. I told him that is against the law and he explained to me that not if the customer agree to it. He than preceded to tell me that the next time I come in to renew the payday loan, that I need to tell the person behind the glass counter that I do n't want to have XXXX XXXX to debit my saving account. I was also told that I could go online and sign into my account and un-check the box for them to stop going into my account without prior authorization and so I did un-check the box.I also contacted my financial institutional and had them to replace my debit card by issuing me a new number in which they did because I NEVER gave XXXX XXXX my saving routing number, just my debit card and now that I 've been issued a new debit card with new number, XXXX XXXX will not be able to debit my saving account, so I thought. My financial needs had changed because of my monthly fixed income from SSI. After one year to the date, XXXX XXXX went into my account again. I did not give XXXX XXXX authorization to go into my account. I do n't even know how they were able to go into my bank account without my debit card number and they are not authorized to have my Bank Routing Number are Account Number. I called XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with a gentleman by the name XXXX XXXX and asked him why did they go into my account. XXXX XXXX told me they can do that without my permission because of the contract I signed over a year ago. So I explained to XXXX that is illegal to go into someone account without their permission. XXXX told me they do this all the time rather its illegal or not, they will do what they have to do to get their money back and that I better be glad that XXXX XXXX did n't take out {$500.00} and that XXXX XXXX ca n't debit the money back into my account anyways and if I want to work out something in paying them another {$500.00}, for me to call them back because they are playing to go back into my account for the rest of it. I 'm just shock this company thinks they can get away with this.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I borrowed XXXX from Advance Financial. The first payment was reasonable at XXXX but the payment scale soon went to XXXX a month. XXXX was interest due. My principal is still at XXXX. But the interest is XXXX. I have talked to company representatives about the monthly payments that I just can not pay. Although they have accepted the smaller payments, this is only going to interest which is at 360 %. On XX/XX/XXXX, Instead of taking XXXX out of my account, this company took XXXX without my authorization. Even though I am disputing this it still left me without any funds for the next two weeks. Had I known what type of underhanded practices they have for interest and that they can change your payments at will, I would have never ever bothered this company. I will pay the money I owe going a different route but XXXX for interest is robbery. Please see if anything can be done about these exorbitant rates, and how they can go into an account that they were not authorized to use, take whatever amount they want and get away with this.

I want the originally offer of {$500.00} enforced so i can end this mess.

Complaint: I took out a flex loan through XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I took this loan with the understanding it was a higher rate loan, however the repayment terms were not disclosed nor explained to me properly. There available loans are between $ 25- {$4000.00}. They advertise their XXXX XXXX, naturally, however all examples of repayment listed on their website are not for the {$4000.00} as if they were I feel sure they would not conduct the volume of business they do.
These repayment examples also do not show any repayment schedule extended past 14 days, but they offer repayment terms past 14 days. The fees charged and terms of your repayment change drastically the longer you have the loan.
To sum it up. I borrowed {$4000.00} in XX/XX/XXXX, have paid a total of {$4500.00} to date, XX/XX/XXXX. The payoff on my loan as of today XX/XX/XXXX is {$4900.00}. I will have repaid a total of {$9400.00} to this company. They list the APR as 279.50 % ; however since this is a rate of " cost of the loan '', basically they charge a % every two weeks as a " customary fee ''.
In XX/XX/XXXX, I paid {$430.00} on XX/XX/XXXX - breakdown : {$52.00} Principal {$32.00} Interest and {$340.00} Customary Fee.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I paid {$430.00} TWICE! They took a total of {$860.00} on this day -- breakdown : {$52.00} Principal {$32.00} Interest and {$340.00} Customary fee, ALL OF THIS TWICE.
Notice how the principal amount applied to my loan did not change from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX payments?
This to me is the definition of predatory lending. There is no way my documentation provided up front would have shown my ability to repay {$1200.00} per month. If they were going to place these repayment terms on me I would not have been approved for the loan, nor would I have applied.
This company advertises their customers only pay for the time they borrow the money. I paid {$1200.00} in the month of XXXX alone on {$4000.00} I borrowed to begin with. {$43.00} a day is what I paid in XX/XX/XXXX.
Why are these companies not forced to adhere to the state regulated maximum rates set by regulators and not required to prove a customer ability repay a debt based off their own repayment terms?
I will provide all statements of my account and any other requested documentation. A dispute has been issued with the company as well in writing.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I received a letter from ADVANCE FINANCIAL saying they were going to take out {$280.00} from my checking account on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. On Saturday, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I called them ( they are open XXXX ) and told them I could not afford that amount coming out. I told them that I could pay {$25.00} the following Monday, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. The representative ( I did n't get her name XXXX agreed to the arrangement. On Monday the XXXX, I found that {$290.00} had been drafted from my account. I called Advance Financial again to find out if they took it. The representative that I spoke to ( did n't get her name either ) said that they had not yet taken anything out of my account and confirmed the earlier arrangement. I then went to my bank to find out who took it out. They said it was Advance Financial. I then called Advance Financial again and got a male representative. He said that the draft was put in motion on the XXXX, which was why it was n't stopped by the arrangement on the XXXX. I then asked him why I was told by a representative earlier in the day that they had not yet taken anything out. He said he did n't know because my account showed that I called earlier in the day, but not what was discussed. 1 ) The rep I spoke to on Saturday XXXX XXXX ) did n't tell me this transaction was pre-arranged, already in motion and would n't be stopped or changed no matter what I did. 2 ) The rep I spoke to today XXXX XXXX ) LIED to me when she said that they had not taken anything out of my account today. Now I have to borrow money from yet another company to cover outstanding checks and debits in order to prevent them from bouncing, thereby causing overdraft fees, thereby causing even more debt.

Complaint: In 2015 a " flex loan '' was taken out in my name. I did not do this. My mother did, she was able to because the person working at the advance financial location, on XXXX XXXX, in XXXX Tennessee was buying XXXX XXXX from my mother and did this as a favor. This loan was put in my name and I was not even present. I attempted to pay this off instead of just pressing charges. I made 8 months worth of payments and the balance due actually increased. I called the 24 hour number and was advised, by a supervisor, that when the flex loans first came out no one was properly trained. So the only way to pay the " flex loan '' off without paying a 300 % interest was to pay it all at once. I had been making the minimum payments ( XXXX biweekly ) and nothing was bringing the balance down. I was told that since this was fraud, and the individual who processed the loan was fired for not verifying people 's identities prior to approving loans, that I did not owe any more money. Fast forward to today, 2 years later, and I get an advertisement from some random attorney that advance financial has a pending lawsuit against me for the amount due. I did n't take this loan out, and I was n't there when it happened. I saw no money from this loan, it was done fraudulently. Advance financial was aware of this because they terminated the person doing it. I 've not heard from this company in over two years and today I find this out by way of an advertisement. This should be illegal. I called advance financial and the guy could n't tell me a thing because there was no information on any loan for me. I was given a number to call in XXXX, TN which is 2 hours away. The local store denied knowing anything because it 's been so long, and now I may be stuck paying something I did n't do, as an unemployed mother to XXXX XXXX XXXX children.
