Complaint: I sent an ACH Revocation to AF247 on XXXX via email ( XXXX ) and via fax, in which I revoked my authorization allowing this company to make debits to and from my bank account. I sent this revocation letter to my bank as well. The reason for the letter is that I currently can not afford to make their interest payments, which is 90 % of my paycheck. I had asked AF247 to freeze or suspend my account so that no further interest would be charged, and I make payments to my principal. They refused, and stated that I could make smaller payments every two weeks, but could not tell me if the payments would be for principal or for interest. On XX/XX/2019, I discovered they processed an ACH payment, which put my account in the negative. They did NOT have authorization to debit my account. I also found out today that another transaction was initiated by AF247, but the bank returned the payment, which lead to another bank charge. Neither the XXXX or the XXXX transaction was authorized. I spent nearly 45 minutes on the phone with AF 247 on XXXX, only to be told that they had to research and would call back that day. They still have not called back.
I am concerned about their blatant refusal to honor my ACH revocation, and I am also concerned as to why they could not tell me if the bi-weekly payments would be applied to the principal amount or interest. The interest is at a mind-boggling 360 %, and I am not sure if this is ok. I'd like them to be investigated if possible.

Complaint: This company charges exorbitant fees, so I still make it a point to pay it off every month to avoid fees. Again, this month they would not let me pay it off in my usual large payments. I made the first payment and then a second smaller payment when I started receiving errors. When I went to make the third/final payment the system would not allow me to complete the payment. I received the error " This request can not be serviced at this moment. Please contact AF247 for more details. '' When I called them I received repeated canned responses with no support. They had the nerve to tell me making large payments sets off security concerns and made me " validate '' myself all over again by sending them my credit card and driver 's license over email ( I'd done this multiple times in the last few months ). This purposely causes a delay in order for them to impose their fees by PREVENTING me from making a payment. To clarify, the problem is not with my bank or credit union ( payments were attempted through two debit cards from different banks AND direct from my checking account on file ). This error message came up when I tried every form of payment. The problem is 100 % with AF247. The MUST release their unethical hold and allow me to pay the full amount.

Complaint: I have had this loan for about a year now. I have not been able to pay it off. They keep on adding more fees and higher than before. I just want to pay it off. I only borrowed {$100.00}, at first then they kept offering more and more, up to almost {$500.00}. I told them that I didn't want to borrow anymore money from their company and I just want to pay them off. I've been sending them about {$100.00} every month but even more fees are added on, and the amount owed is not being reduced by them. I seriously want to put this loan behind me very much. They say that I owe them about {$800.00} maybe it's up to {$1000.00} by now according to them, regardless that I've been paying {$100.00} per month on my loan. Seems to be a scam to me.

Complaint: The loan was originally for XXXX and {$200.00} payments then suddenly they went up to {$400.00} every other week I was struggling to make them and nothing was coming off the principal. The terms were not clear and I feel like it was a scam how can a XXXX loan turn into owing XXXX in default when I have made over XXXX in payments. They have now filed a small claims against me in the amount of {$4600.00} stating they are writing off XXXX. I have requested several times a list of all of the payments I did make and details as to how I could possibly owe {$6100.00} and they have not produced this instead they filed a small claim which I will be disputing. I am also looking for others with this issue to possibly file a lawsuit against this company 's shady business tactics. Taking advantage of individuals who are in need of a short term loan.

Sued you without properly notifying you of lawsuit
Complaint: I took an online loan with AF247/Advance Financial/XXXX XXXX. Although the original loan was for {$1100.00} they are threatening to sue me in court on XX/XX/2019 for over {$4600.00}. This is mostly due to the 360 % interest rate that was charged which I was not aware of and far above the state law in Virginia. I had made multiple payments on this loan, but it is impossible to ever pay due to the extreme interest rate. Every payment I have ever made goes to interest, even when I pay above the minimum payment. I dont even understand nor was I ever explained how the balance exceeds {$4000.00} on a {$1100.00} loan.

Threatened to sue you for very old debt
Complaint: I took a loan with AF247, also known as XXXX XXXX, XXXX dba Advance Financial 24/7. original loan was taken on XX/XX/XXXX for {$2600.00}. Even though I had made payments amounting to thousands of dollars, the company is now attempting to sue me in court on XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX XXXX General District Court ). I tried to settle any past amounts with this company but they refused any payments except the entire balance. Additionally, their interest rate is 360 %, which far exceeds the interest rate legally allowed in the state of Virginia, which I was unaware of when I took out the loan. Because of their rate and the large payments I have made, this company is engaging in fraudulent lending practices with an excessive interest rate. Their attempt to sue is even greater at XXXX.

Threatened to sue you for very old debt
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice from The Business Services Division, and Secretary of State XXXX XXXX from the State of Tennessee in XXXX. In reference of Harpeth Financial Services/LLC DBA Advance Financial, of a court summon for a lawsuit in the amount of {$990.00} plus court cost and private process server fees. My court date is scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX. I was clearly a victim of predatorial lending, and this debt was a result of predatory lending. I was told to just e-sign my signatures on a tablet and was misinformed about the terms and never told about interest rates.I think this debt is about 3 or 4 years old, and I just recently filed for chapter XXXX bankruptcy this year. I was unaware of this debt when I filed for bankruptcy it was never on my credit report. If I can recall I only received maybe {$150.00} to {$200.00} from this company. Thank you

Complaint: I received a loan from advanced 24/7 in XX/XX/2017. I am a disabled individual that lives on a fixed income. I did not realize that getting this loan was going to put me into a viscous cycle of having to borrow from this loan to make ends meet because the payment on the loan was extremely high. Especially seeing as I make only a little over $XXXX a month. The percentage rate for the APR on the loan is ridiculous at 279.5%. I am not able to pay the $XXXX that they are asking per month and buy groceries, my medication, toiletries, etc that are needed for me to live my life.

Complaint: Over the phone, I had tried to get Advance Financial to stop taking automatic payments from my account ( ACH ), I was advised by a phone representative that they could not do that since they don't have payment locations in this state. I subsequently learned this was incorrect and customers can ask lenders to stop ACH ( and debit ) withdrawals.
At least 3 days prior to a payment date of XX/XX/19, I contacted Advance Financial and advised them that I was unable to have a withdrawal from my account of {$350.00}. The representative agreed to honor my request. Yet on XX/XX/19, {$350.00} was taken via debit card from Advance Financial from my account. When I contacted them I was advised that sometimes they can not accomodate requests if someone did not meet a prior payment arrangement. I had in fact once been 3 days late and they also made a debit card withdrawal. When I told the representative that I could not feed my kids they said there was nothing they could do. I need the {$350.00} back so I can feed my kids.
Advance Financial is a predatory lender that does not honor requests regarding payments and lies to their customers about the ability to stop ACH payments.
