Complaint: I purchased a brand new XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I never had any issues with the vehicle until XX/XX/XXXX of XX/XX/XXXX. While driving to the store my check engine light came on and my engine seized. I brought my car to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to attempt to have the engine covered under my warranty. The service department notified me that it would be covered and my engine would be replaced. At that time I was delighted and glad to have a XXXX product. As the weeks went on, it came to my knowledge that XXXX engines were currently being recalled worldwide for metal in the engine. This sparked millions of people to be bringing their cars in for repair. The engines were coming from XXXX XXXX and due to be shipped. Each week I would call and check on my engine status. Each week I was told a later date until I discovered that the workers in XXXX XXXX were currently on-strike with no return to work date. Any engines would be on backorder until further notice. I was instructed by XXXX that I could rent a car and be reimbursed for the rental fees 90 days after I received my car back which still had no set date. There was no loaner car or way for XXXX to rent me a car in the meantime. I pay a high car payment and can not afford to pay weekly for an undetermined amount of time for a rental car. I also attempted to have my payments lowered or deferred while I was waiting for my engine. Neither of these were options according to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was offered a two month payment defferment but those payments would be added to the end of my loan term. Today, four months without a car and still no eta for the engine, I attempted to trade my car into XXXX and buy another XXXX. This was my absolute last resort as I have no vehicle and am close to losing my job. I was told there was no way they could finance a new car to me due to my credit rating. I was also told once again to get a credit card and charge my rental fees to it. This is not a realistic option. My hands are completely tied with XXXX and they are leaving me no choice but to default on my loan due to not having a vehicle. My car will have to be repossessed and I will not only live with that on my credit report but will still have to pay for the vehicle. I also now need to find a way to purchase another vehicle. I have spoke to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX Consumer Affairs, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Sales and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I call almost daily and am constantly told there is nothing they can do to assist me in anyway. They have left me without a vehicle and an impending repossession due to no fault of my own. I wish I could continue making my payments but it will not be possible.

Complaint: I got a lease from XXXX XXXX XXXX back in the middle of XX/XX/XXXX. Everything seemed great on their end but, then I noticed in early XX/XX/XXXX that they made 2 unauthorized hard inquires on my credit report. Starting in early-mid XX/XX/XXXX I called and spoke with numerous Managers and finace managers at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX dealership. By the way it was very hard just to get ahold of them on the phone. I started with leaving multiple messages and voicemails to the people in charge. Finally I was able to get ahold of a couple of different managers but, they stated that they either could not do anything or that they were going to check and see if there is something that they could do. I gave them a sufficient amount of time to get back to me and provided them with my personal cell phone and email address but, they never called me back. I tried calling them and getting ahold of them again but, I was unsuccessful in getting any sort of resolution this way ( all of this went on for about 5-6 weeks ). In XX/XX/XXXX I consulted a lawyer and he helped me put together a formal letter ( attached below ) as the next step to try and find a solution. I stated my complaint and asked them to remove these unauthorized credit inquires from all 3 credit bureaus. Yet, I never even received a response from them after waiting months ). About 90 to 120 days later ( either in XX/XX/XXXX or at the very latest XX/XX/XXXX I called the coroprate number for XXXX. I spoke with a customer service representative and a supervisor and they said they would get back to me with a resolution within 1-2 weeks. They never called me back within that time-frame so I called them back around XX/XX/XXXX and they stated that it could take 30 days to resolve. Now it has been almost 60 days since Ive conatcted them and I have not recieved any calls or anything close to a resolution for everything. So, at this point I feel as though Ive given XXXX more than enough time and I feel that Ive done all I can in dealing with XXXX myself and Im now hoping thag cfpb can resolve this matter for me.

I don't remember the exact date but recieved information that the car was paid off. I believe it was at the end of XX/XX/XXXX. The status of the loan is still open on my credit report and it's making it hard for me to get a home loan. I will be contacting XXXX XXXX XXXX today. Please respond with solution to help me. Thanks

RE : Hyundia account # XXXX Dear CFPB : I spoke with XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding my paid off old auto loan that is now disputed with XXXX. I sent Hyundai and XXXX two disputes on XX/XX/XXXX regarding five late payments, they where never late Hyundai did not credit the payments on time. They simply said they were accurate and I needed to provide then " additional supporting information ''. I had spoken with XXXX XXXX from XXXX today XX/XX/XXXX and found the Hyundai account not reporting the entire payment history beginning XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. There is four years of payment data history missing and I asked Hyundai and XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) to include that payment history because it is not showing on my account. As per the Fair Credit Reporting Act information must be one hundred percent accurate and verifiable. Simply reporting the late payments and excluding the positive payment history is misleading and I am asking XXXX to include all the payment history in the record.

Complaint: The complaint is against XXXX XXXX XXXX. They take interest out of extra principal applied each month. I called in to correct it and was told that customers have to call in to correct it each time. My question to them was why should a customer have to call you each time? 2nd- what if I never called you? I want to know if a customer never calls you about extra money sent for principal- what happens to the interest you deducted? Does Kia keep it if I never call you? I think their current system promotes loan fraud and should be investigated. I contacted them XXXX18 and they could not answer my questions. They did say they would correct my payments, but I have not seen that applied. I need to know what the ETA is.

It is now mid XX/XX/XXXX and I have yet to receive a resolution to this dispute which is adversely and unfairly affecting my credit score. Not only have I been making on time payments but have also paid double the monthly balance to pay off the loan quicker.

Complaint: I leased a XXXX XXXX XXXX. This is our XXXX XXXX in the last 9 years. For the first time I was getting close to the miles. Visited XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX trying to get a solution becuase didnt want to go over the miles. None of them advicsd me that it would be better to pay the extra miles than getting a new car at the moment. None of them were able to work deal that made financial sense to me. At the end I decided to return the car and pay the XXXX remaining of the lease. At the time I received the first bill XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Hyundai Motor Financial and told asked them to wave the XXXX early termination fee so I can pay the difference Since a new need for a Hybrid came up I wanted to stay with the branch and with the Ioniq I can get a tax credit. At that time the ioniq wasnt available, I made an initial payment of XXXX to my account. The representative told me he will extend the due date until XX/XX/XXXX until the car became available. XX/XX/XXXX was here and the car I wanted wasnt available, At the moment paid another XXXX requested the fee to be refunded and was declined again. Asked the representative if paying after XX/XX/XXXX will affect my credit her asnwer was that everything stay in house and an internal recovery department will contact me. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from XXXX a collection agency asking me all my information. I wasn't comfortable answering and the agent told me they will send a letter. That letter came in a week letter and than in XX/XX/XXXX the agent call me again. When he was asking my verification questions he told me he cant talk to me because my date of birth didn't match his records he had XX/XX/XXXX and my DOB is XX/XX/XXXX he promise a call when fixed. On XX/XX/XXXX he calls me back telling me they corrected the information and we can now talk. I told him that I will pay the invoice completely because I didn't want to affect my perfect payment history I have built for the last 12 years. He told me is to late because in XX/XX/XXXX I was reported to the credit bureaus with a delinquent account. I wasn't happy XX/XX/XXXX was the day he couldn't verify me over the phone because of their mistake. I told him I will pay when they remove that negative mark from my credit. He talked to his supervisor and told me they will do and exception and email Hyundai to get that off my credit in exchange I have to pay in full. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and I haven't receive a call back, the mark still in my records, I called then 3 times and are always with a high call volume. I emailed Hyundai Motor Finance and they directed me to recovery who directed me to that XXXX number. This is not the first time HMF damaged us.

Complaint: I currently have a auto loan with XXXX, and I wasnt aware until Saturday XX/XX/2018 that my balance and payments has not been updated in one year, and due to this I was denied an auto loan with XXXX, including trading my current car because XXXX thinks Im one year late and my car is in repo status. It also shows my first auto loan with XXXX, that i only made 5 payments and i had the car for approximately 15months. So this isnt reporting correctly from XXXX. With this being said, I need my old auto loan that was paid in full and no late payments and my current auto loan with XXXX updated, with all payments and current balance to all 3 credit reporting agencies.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2017 I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to buy a new car. I was sold a New XXXX XXXX that I was told had miles on it because it was used as a dealer demo. there was documents left in the glove box when I was putting my papers in it. I handed them to the girl who was showing me everything about how the car works. I asked her and the salesman are you sure this car was not previously owned, I was told no. I noticed as I drove it home that there were cigarette burns, one on the seat one on the passage floor. I took it back the very next day, as I was walking around the passenger side I noticed a small dent in the rear back behind the back passenger car. I pointed this out to them. I asked if they allowed their employees to smoke in the cars. they replied no. two days later I was driving to XXXX XXXX and on the highway i heard a weird noise. I got off and walked around the car. I noticed that the front wheel well lining had come loose and was rubbing against the tire. I drove it directly to the dealership. They fixed it and advised me to call the number on the window if it was to ever happen again. About a month later I was driving to Michigan and the same thing happened to the passage front wheel. I did as I was advised called the number on the window. I was advised there was no way for them to come to and help me. SO I drove to the nearest XXXX and bought duck tape and fixed my bran new car with duck tape. It was right after this trip I noticed that the paint on the front end of the car was peeling off. I took pictures and sent them to XXXX the salesman. He advised me to take it to any XXXX car dealership to have them fix it. I was working a lot of hours and did not have a chance until a couple months later. I took my car into the XXXX XXXX dealership. I was asked when the front end work was last done on my car and where. I told them there was never any work done I bought from the dealership in XXXX XXXX new. they looked up the XXXX XXXX and informed me that the car was previously owned and in a car accident. I call the XXXX XXXX dealership and they advised me that they would check into it and call me back with in thirty minutes. they never called back. this was a Saturday. I called first thing on Monday morning and spoke with the general manager. He advised he would do some checking into it. He did offer to " Make it right '' by exchanging my car for what I should have gotten to begin with. I told him I am afraid to take another XXXX and have the same issues. Then he offered an upgrade. I explained I needed a car that would fit my daughters XXXX. When I arrived at the dealership the manager did not come out to meet me, instead the same salesman that lied to me in the first place came out. He had a XXXX XXXX for me to look at I explained that I needed a car that would fit my daughters XXXX XXXX. I gave them the measurements. I told him I liked the idea of a small suv, which is easy to get the XXXX in and out. they advised me that they could not upgrade me to the SUV 's but were willing to give me a XXXX XXXX. the XXXX would fit. I sat there for over nine hours waiting for the paperwork to get done and not speaking with the manager until after being there five hours and they were charging me more for the new vehicle. I argued with them that he said he would keep y payments the same. but what he did was lower the interest rate. I tried to explain to them that it is not the same. there is a XXXX XXXX dollar difference in price that they are charging me. The salesman now got commission on two cars. They deceived me on selling me a used car when my receipt even said New they sold me a car that should have been in excellent condition that was previously in an accident and they charged me more for a replacement car. I needed a car and was desperate. This is a car dealership that talks about how " HUGE '' they are and what HUGE deals you are going to get. They give away free trips to people who buy cars yet they could not make this right. They sold me a used car when it should have been new.

Complaint: I had a lease that was supposed to end in XX/XX/XXXX. I took the car back to the dealership on XX/XX/XXXX, returned the car and entered a new lease with the same company. Was advised older car was paid off, and no future payments would be withdrawn. I received an email stating that a payment will be withdrawn on that account on XX/XX/XXXX. Not sure how they can do this when the account balance is XXXX. They say it is because I am still in autopay. How can I be in autopay when the balance is XXXX?
