Account status incorrect
Complaint: I had my vehicle stolen and burned. I contracted Hyundai XXXX XXXX about the situation and they told me that was fine and insurance would cover the issue. Insurance took care of the issue several months later, but they claim that I still owe {$1400.00} on the account from the months that were not paid. This has been over several years now. I documentation from them showing that the account is paid in full. Yet they refuse to change it on the credit bureau report and they say that I still owe them {$1400.00}.
I have disputed this issues with all 3 credit bureaus ( XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX and requested a validation and to receive the information from the validation. No information has ever been received from any of the three credit bureaus. XXXX list the amount owed as {$4200.00} ...
Hyundai XXXX XXXX and the 3 credit bureaus have ignored all request in regards to updating this information properly.

Billing problem
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX we purchased a brand new Hyundai Sonata from XXXX XXXX in XXXX Utah. We opted to put it on a loan ( altho we could have written a check and paid for it outright ) as they were offering an additional {$1000.00} in rebates. So we financed it and their finance department told us to pay a large chunk as soon as the loan was live online.
The loan is through XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), not through the local dealer and the problem lies with XXXX XXXX.
On XX/XX/XXXX I made a payment of {$24000.00} that was to be applied 100 % to principle only. But they did not do that. They applied it to principle ( {$24000.00} ) & interest ( {$34.00} ). This made a complete mess of the loan. We should have 6 or 7 payments of {$440.00} each remaining, the payoff should occur in XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX.
But their mistake caused multiple problems : 1. It changed the due date of my NEXT payment to XX/XX/XXXX!
2. It changed the amount due for each payment to {$300.00} instead of {$440.00} I have called them 6 times at ( XXXX ) XXXX and I am getting the run around.
I called first on XX/XX/XXXX as that is when I first noticed the error. I was told it should be fixed in 24 hours. It was not fixed in 24 hours.
I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and was given the runaround again and this time I was told it would take 3-4 business days to reverse the payment and apply 100 % of it to principle.
I called on XX/XX/XXXX as the problem was still not fixed. At this point I asked for a supervisor who was supposed to escalate it.
I called on XX/XX/XXXX when I went online and found no changes to my account again.
I called today, XX/XX/XXXX and was finally given to a supervisor named XXXX who told me that she would take care of it TODAY and call me back. Right now, 4 1/2 hours have elapsed and she has NOT called me back. So I called again and this time I got someone named XXXX. I asked her to transfer me to XXXX. She told me that she didn't know who XXXX was and couldn't do that. And yet, after I told her my next step would be to file this complaint, she had a miraculous restoration of memory and she told me that XXXX must be on a break or out at lunch. ( So she was lying to me in the first place about not knowing who XXXX is or where she was ). XXXX told me she would submit the request AGAIN and it would take ANOTHER 3-4 days. By this time, I'm boiling over and I said, " You have been telling me that for 9 days! '' So that is where I left it. I am frustrated beyond belief and in the meantime, we continue to accrue interest on the loan that we should not be accruing.
I have dealt with them before on a short-term loan ( similar circumstances ) and just getting a simple address change done took 8-9 phone calls. They are maddening and should be thoroughly investigated.
XXXX would like us to recommend them to our friends. Sorry. I can recommend the car itself but I would never, ever recommend XXXX XXXX to anyone.

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX response to my initial complaint is insufficient and did not address the issue. I was not informed of an outstanding balance being a {$620.00} Wear & Tear fee at the time of leasing another XXXX vehicle. I was informed there was a Wear & Tear fee that was taken care of by the Hyundai XXXX dealership and that was it. Once informed via letter in XX/XX/2017 about a {$620.00} Wear and Tear fee, I immediately called the dealership to inquire why this fee was not paid and was assured by them it was handled. I then called XXXX to inform them that, again, the dealership paid because the dealership continuously told me it was paid. I did my due diligence in trying to remedy this issue multiple times between XXXX and the Hyundai XXXX dealership. XXXX neglected to admit in their initial response that my account was paid in full by the DEALERSHIP and not by me. Again, no payment that came from me was ever late. Better yet, this late payment they claim was my responsibility came from their own dealership 's checkbook! The Hyundai dealerships payment to XXXX was late. The dealership has even admitted responsibility for this payment ( see letter from dealership attached ). The dealerships manager says, XXXX sent XXXX XXXX a bill and she advised them that the dealership was to pay that amountthe dealership failed to do this. The fact that I, the customer, have been the middle man between these two entities, dealing with their lack of communication with one another and being personally affected by their failure to remedy this situation several times is abhorrent. Had I been told by XXXX or the dealership to pay a {$620.00} Wear & Tear fee, I WOULD HAVE and quite frankly, I wish I was given the opportunity to do so rather than be lied to multiple times by the dealership that the payment was handled and be in this present situation. Look at my payment history- I have never been late on a payment once in my life and would never not pay an outstanding balance!

Excess mileage, damage, or wear fees, or other problem after the lease is finish
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX : Account # XXXX VIN # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX To Whom it may concern, I am writing to you regarding the above referenced account for a leased XXXX XXXX. I am in receipt of a collection notice from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX. This agency has been retained by XXXX to collect on the end of lease fees ( all inclusive ) in the amount of {$1200.00}.
I am not only appalled by this action taken by XXXX, but furious at the neglect and lack of competence of the Lease Maturity Servicing Team based in XXXX, TX.
Background information as it relates to this lease.
1. On XX/XX/XXXX, I signed a Lease Extension Agreement for the course of 6 additional months from the initial expiration date of XX/XX/XXXX and agreed to make payments in the sum of {$290.00} 2. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX., CST and inspection was conducted by inspector # XXXX under inspection ID XXXX. This was conducted by XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) a company retained by XXXX 3. On XX/XX/XXXX, the vehicle was turned in to XXXX XXXX XXXX located on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX 4. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from XXXX, seeking a total of {$1200.00} ( {$400.00} Disposition Fee & {$860.00} Excess Wear and Use ) Upon the receipt of this bill, I contacted XXXX to discuss the bill. Here is a synopsis of the conversation ; I had in good faith done a pre-maturity inspection to determine any repairs to avoid such fees. In the inspection report of XX/XX/XXXX, line 2 : ExteriorBumper Cover scratch heavy 3 to 4 in the amount of {$250.00}. Now, I was advised by the inspector that Hyundai had a tolerance of less than 2 to avoid any fees assessed. He further went on to say that if the cosmetic scratch was to be touched up by OEM paint, that would be considered acceptable as per the contractual agreement by Hyundai. On XX/XX/XXXX, I purchased the original part from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( part # XXXX ) touch-up paint in Anthracite Gray.
When the vehicle was surrendered to the dealership, I was advised by XXXX XXXX head of Finance & Lease Returns at XXXX XXXX XXXX that a final inspection would be conducted by XXXX before disposing the vehicle at an auction or selling it via a pre-owned car dealer. Hyundai never completed an inspection post Lease Termination to determine the amount owed, but took into account a report which was more than 90 days old.
After my conversation with XXXX in XXXX, XXXX. I received a call from the Lease Maturity Servicing Team in mid to late XXXX, XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX after a conversation with an agent, I was asked to send an email disputing the total charges in the amount of {$860.00}. In that email, I included images in color, specific to the rear right bumper as listed in the Inspection Report of XX/XX/XXXX. In that email, I also included the invoice for the Paint which was purchased at the dealership. These were required by the agent with whom I spoke. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a follow-up email asking me once again for the account #, which had been provide on 4 previous occasions. I responded to the email on XX/XX/XXXX, with the requested information.
After sending this information to the Lease Maturity Servicing Team on XX/XX/XXXX, I heard nothing from XXXX, there were no calls, no follow-up letters and or my original request to send an amended statement for end of lease charges. However, XXXX instead retained a collection agency to collect on their behalf. As of the date of this letter, I have yet to receive any updated documents showing the correction of {$250.00} from the total amount.
As a blatant disregard to my communication and sincere efforts to pay the amount due, I am now pursuing this matter with the Commissioner of Consumer Affairs not only in the State of CA but also the State of Texas. In addition, a copy will be sent to the Federal Trade Commission, to highlight Deceptive Business Practices by XXXX XXXX XXXX.
I have contacted the collection agency, to advise them to cease any communication as the amount stated in the demand letter is incorrect.
In conclusion, I have every intent to resolve this matter amicably and paying the amount duly owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX. In the event HMFUSA and the retained collection agency do not correct this matter, I will then pursue this matter with CFPB under the violation of The Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act California Civil Code 1788 et seq. Please send me an updated bill at your earliest so that I can pay the amount due.
Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CC : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Billing problem
Complaint: Dispute of payment for one month with XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Amount of lease {$420.00} was withddrawn from my account XX/XX/XXXX and never credited.
XXXX XXXX refused to acknowledge my claim and considered the account delinquent from XX/XX/XXXX to present day, XX/XX/XXXX.
I attempted to resolve the issue numerous times to no avail. XXXX XXXX has ruined my credit and refuses to lease another vehicle to me based on the low credit score I now have due to their negative reporting to various credit agencies.
Now XXXX XXXX is holding me hostage to buy the vehicle at a non negotiatable price.

Complaint: I lease a XXXX XXXX XXXX, with a lease through XXXX XXXX XXXX. I make the lease payments online. Today, I signed into the XXXX website to schedule a payment. A pop-up notice warned me that starting XX/XX/2018, online payments will incur a {$3.00} fee. The fee is not charged to Auto-Pay customers, who have the money automatically withdrawn from their bank account. This fee did not exist, and was not disclosed, when the lease was signed, and is a material change in the lease contract. I submitted a complaint to XXXX, and am submitting this complaint for your review and action. A screenshot of the fee notice is attached.

Complaint: I had a car loan with XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, I totaled the care in XX/XX/XXXX. When the car was totaled, my insurance company paid the loan as well as my gap coverage. My mother, XXXX XXXX, co-signed this loan with me and was checking her credit report in XXXX and it showed the XXXX XXXX was written off as a bad debt, not as a paid off or written off as a loss. I have repeatedly asked XXXX to send me the complete payment history including the payoffs and keep getting told they have sent it or its in process. I did receive a letter from gap showing their payments. this has completely dropped my mothers credit score from the 800s to the 600s.

Complaint: I leased a car from the Hyundai XXXX dealership and when my lease was up in XX/XX/XXXX, I was told by the dealership if I leased a new car that day ( XX/XX/XXXX ), they would waive the Wear and Tear fee on the vehicle I was turning in. I went home happy with a new XXXX XXXX lease and an intact credit score.
Months later, I received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) saying I owe a {$620.00} Wear and Tear fee. I promptly called the dealership ( XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX ) and was assured they would be paying the fee to XXXX and I would have nothing to worry about and I would never hear from them again.
Another few months pass ( now it is XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX ) and I start receiving multiple calls from the same number and finally answer, it was the Collections Agency calling because the dealership never paid the {$620.00} that they had promised me they would and consequently, XXXX sent me to Collections over it.
I then go to the Hyundai dealership and the manager of the dealership writes a check for {$620.00} and sends it to the Collections Agency ( that they should have done months and months ago ). And everything was " settled ''. However, this caused MY credit score that I have worked so hard on, and I have never missed a payment EVER, to drop 70 points The managXXXX of the dealership wrote a letter for me to send to XXXX stating I was not the responsible party for this payment and it should be removed from my credit report, which I sent to the HMF Direct Dispute address as certified mail along with a copy of my credit report and a letter explaining the situation on XX/XX/XXXX. I have filed complaints with the 3 credit bureaus as well, but the information on my credit report remains the same.
