Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/2016 at XXXX EST I got a call in reference to my late car payment with Hunting bank from phone number XXXX. I paid the car payment hours earlier today and before the representative called. The representative started giving out my personal information including year make and model of my vehicle and past due/payment amounts before they had officially verified it was me on the line. They literally asked If I was ( my name ) I said yes, did not ask another question. If it had been anyone else on the line they would have continued the discussion giving out my personal information but I informed them I was upset and they told me that this is how they do business and they did nothing wrong. No apology or anything.

Complaint: My wife and I applied for a mortgage with huntington bank. We discussed the ins and outs of the loan process with XXXX XXXX and talked about how much would be needed to be put down on our mortgage loan. We later met again with XXXX XXXX and he showed us the loan estimate. We then received the closing disclosure, which we signed with the monthly payment being final. My wife and I took the final payment on the closing disclosure as correct ( we do n't understand all the realty / banking abbreviations that go in to an estimate ). As we approached closing date ( huntington bank had aprox 45 day notice of ) huntington asked to move the closing date back from XXXX/XXXX/16 to XXXX/XXXX/16. The process went quick because of multiple phone calls and text messages from myself and my wife. We then closed on XXXX/XXXX/16 @ XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX After I got home after closing I received a phone call from XXXX XXXX , from huntington bank , that they improperly disclosed information to us, and that the closing was void. We then had to wait for new CD forms to be sent to us so we could verify them and establish a new closing date. It turns out that huntington bank failed to disclose Mortgage Insurance to my wife and I in the Lenders estimate and closing disclosure ( which is almost {$100.00} difference per mo. ). After multiple phone calls and cussing battles with XXXX XXXX he tried to blame us for not catching the banks mistake. Both XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, have stated that all huntington bank will do is grant us {$750.00} refund on top of a {$250.00} refund for opening a checking account with them.That does nothing to help the fact that we could n't close on time and now we have to wait five additional days. They have caused countless hours of stress to my wife and I, and all they want to do is cover their own backs and try and blame us. It should n't take countless phone calls and text messages from the customer to the lender to get them to do the job they get paid to do. At the closing with XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, we learned that we should have received the appraisal for the property that we were/are purchasing. We did not receive such appraisal. We finally did receive it on XXXX/XXXX/16 ( the day of closing ) at XXXX, 4 hours after our closing time. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX have never responded to phone calls in a timely matter. It is offensive that a mortgage company that prides themselves on customer service, will not own up to the previously stated issues. We went with huntington bank because we thought they were a good company and we could trust them. We have come to the conclusion that the customer ( in this case us ) does n't matter. They have made this process awful and we still ca n't trust that they will close on XX/XX/2016 like they promised we will. If they do n't close this time when they promised to we could end up losing the house and will have no where to live. We hope that someone reading this will take action to stop huntington from treating people this way.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX my wife and I went to Huntington Bank and asked for a mortgage loan, and we were granted what we thought was a mortgage, because they took the deed as collateral, and in XX/XX/XXXX we went back to Huntington Bank to try to refinance, found out we did not have a mortgage but rather an installment, and could not refinance to a lower rate. The rate on the loan is 9.49 % Also we did borrow more money from Huntington Bank as a line of credit in XX/XX/XXXX, for a rate of 4 % abd when the line of credit was due, we did not have to money to pay it off, so they gave us a modification at a rate of 5.5 %. When we took the line of credit, we were told when it was due we could put the installment loan and the line of credit together and refinance the both of them together. When we tried to do that, the bank said we could not do that. feel we were mislead on this whole process, and we should have been able to refinance at a lower rate. Just the installment loan alone will hace cost me {$180000.00} for a {$95000.00} loan

Complaint: On or about XXXX XXXX, 2016 I received a letter stated that Huntington Bank had not received my mortgage payment on Account No. XXXX. On or about XXXX XXXX, 2016 I visited the XXXX XXXX Branch and met with the Branch Manager XXXX XXXX I presented him copies cancelled checks on both mortgage accounts. He called the account center and after research stated they found record of payment received and could not understand why the late payment letter was generated. On of about XXXX XXXX, 2016 received a call from Huntington Representative XXXX XXXX He stated that they had not received my mortgage payment. I explain my meeting with XXXX XXXX. On or about XXXX XXXX, 2016 received a called from Huntington Representative XXXX XXXX, he stated they had not received payment but later changed his allegation and stated they received a payment of {$2000.00} but my mortgage payment amount is {$2300.00}. I emailed a copy of my cancelled check showing Huntington cashed my check on XXXX XXXX, 2016 in the amount of {$2300.00}. My mortgage due date is XXXX XXXX, 2016. I have had this account for about 15 years. To the best of my knowledge I have never been late. It appears that Huntington Bank is attempting to jeopardize my excellent credit history so that I will not qualify for a line of credit on another account. Complaint: It has been a difficult task trying to liquidate my mother 's accounts at the XXXX XXXX, PA Huntington Bank location. The personal banker and branch manager were not helpful. It took the financial advisor to arrange a meeting between himself, the branch manager, and myself. The branch manager was not prepared for the meeting and offered excuses for the behavior and lack of attention the personal banker offered. I was able to liquidate a portion of the accounts while in PA, but was faced with additional obstacles once I returned home in Texas. The financial advisor who was assigned to the accounts no longer worked for the bank and his replacement was not knowledgeable to assist and failed to forward me to his superior. Calling the corporate offices did not make a difference. It was when I reached out to the institution 's XXXX account for anyone to take action. Though I have received several calls from various people in the investment department I still have the feeling that the bank is attempting to hold the funds hostage because they would prefer to keep the funds invested in their products. It has been two months since the passing of my mother and we are still attempting to finalize the liquidation process.

Complaint: Just as what happened at XXXX XXXX XXXX whom transferred my account without my consent to Huntington Bank monies were removed via late fees which now are getting close to {$1000.00} per month for the last 3 months. several times late fees were changed to my account without any reason at first they were removed now they 're getting worse. I called and requested that charges be removed and my account audited for the year. Bank officer on phone XXXX said they would send me a email how to get a audit, the email never came. I requested this on XXXX/XXXX/2016. Now I have filed several complaints which have proven with paperwork to be correct but I have never been refunded on any of the cases I filed with CFPB, FTC, DOJ or any legal agency even though my paperwork was use to prove cases. This I believe is a criminal organization which seems to get people inside banks, agencies to commit fraud then violate me in trying to protect reputation including Federal agencies whom I sent paperwork and went in person to give paperwork to FBI, IRS etc. As for CFPB I have received after filing complaint a call which states that I should call a phone number I do so but the number never answers and phone company states number out of order. Just In the last several months means to directly contact Huntington has gone from website there is n't any chat, email or a direct address to headquarters when there used to be able to do so online. In conclusion I have filed similar complaints sent in evidence as I did for my former home address when several banks fraudulently use a similar address to mine to file fake mortgages then when I reported case to FBI and police cases would be filed without trial to protect government officials involved in fraud. ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MI. XXXX ). I sent in claim paperwork to DOJ law firm in XXXX and have heard nothing for the last 3 years, likewise for my bank complaints like XXXX and now the same thing at Huntington Bank.
