Complaint: My wallet was stolen on XX/XX/2016. It contained XXXX credit cards and a debit card along with my driver 's license. XXXX credit card XXXX Huntington Bank XXXX XXXX was used to make a fraudulent purchase, which alerted me ( via text XXXX to the theft. I contacted the Huntington Bank customer service and reported the card stolen. New cards were issued to me. On XX/XX/2016, I met with a banker at a branch office. I was told a comment was entered to ensure account security. I was not contacted by the Huntington Bank fraud personnel after my initial notification to them. I reported the driver 's license and second credit card stolen the the appropriate issuers and received updated documents/cards. I filed a police report and reviewed surveillance footage at the store where the card was used. I identified the person using the card as the person sitting next to me at a restaurant. About XXXX weeks later, I received a letter in the mail requesting my notarized signature disputing the fraudulent purchase. I signed the statement and mailed it to the address provided. Funds were returned to my credit account. Around noon on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a text alert that my Huntington Bank checking account balance was below the set limit. I logged into my accounts and noted that someone had withdrawn nearly all the funds from my checking and savings accounts. I went to my local bank branch within XXXX minutes of the transaction post and learned that someone had entered a bank branch inside a XXXX store in XXXX, MI XXXX out-of-state ) and filled out a withdrawal slip to deplete my funds. According to the assistant XXXX, the banker who conducted the transaction looked at the driver 's license and thought the person looked " enough like '' me to consider it a valid identification. The banker also stated that the person knew the balances in my accounts. The signature on the withdrawal slip does not resemble my signature on file for my bank accounts. The XXXX store had not been contacted to secure surveillance footage XXXX the branch is inside the store ) and the XXXX Police Department had not be contacted of the theft. I went to the branch again the following day to let them know that the funds had not been returned to my account. After repeated attempts by them to speak to an XXXX, the funds were returned to my account before noon. No XXXX has contacted to verify how the bank intends to rectify the compromise to my accounts and information. I am still not aware how the person knew my account balances or why the banker did not protect my funds and my account information.

Complaint: I opened a line of credit with Huntington Bank. The account number I am referring to is # XXXX and it is attached to some land I own in Michigan. I asked the bank for statements a long time ago and never received them. I am currently selling the land and I asked for statements covering years XXXX through XXXX. I originally talked to XXXX there about these over a month ago. When I never received them, I called back and she said she put the wrong account number on the request. I again asked for these statements and the bank demanded {$900.00} for copies. I told them I needed to check some discrepancies on the loan amount. I plan to pay them off, but I need to go over these documents. I called to talk to XXXX 's manager, XXXX XXXX, but she was unavailable. XXXX said the bank is demanding payment for the copies or they will not supply them to us. I told them it is in their best interest to give us the copies so we can check them over, but they refused. I want to get this loan paid off but the bank will not work with me on this information. I am disputing the amount they have down of {$14000.00} for cash advances and {$7000.00} for purchases. I am trying to find out where these figures came from when I do n't remember authorizing these charges. A copy of these statements would help to clear this up, but I am a XXXX and can not afford to put out {$900.00} for copies. I have tried to work with this bank to get this resolved, but to not avail. I really need your help. I want to make sure the amount showing I owe is accurate. It seems too high since I have been paying for such a long period of time. You would think the bank would help me so I can resolve this and pay them. Again, please help because they will not budge for me.

Complaint: I received a certified letter last Tuesday, XX/XX/2016 that my savings and checking accounts and my son 's savings and checking accounts, which I am a co-signer, were being closed on XX/XX/2016 and that our ATM cards were being closed on XX/XX/2016. I called the XXXX number on the letter and left a message that someone would call me back. When they called back, they said it was a business decision, no other reason was offered. I stopped at my local bank to see if they had an answer and they could not find anything. After running around to get all my direct deposits changed to a new bank and making sure all my bills were covered, I called the number again asking for a supervisor, manager or someone who does not just answer the phone with a book of basic, obscure answers call me back. After two unsuccessful messages, someone called me back and gave me the same answer, " it 's a business decision. ''

Complaint: Background : My business savings at Huntington is used for paying taxes and insurance only, therefore I put money in on a monthly basis, till they are due in XXXX. I reviewed that account on XX/XX/2016, only to realize it had been hacked on the Bank end, going back several months. I filed a fraud alert that day ; Huntington Bank returned most of the money within a couple weeks, however, refuses to return the remaining saying they only return back for 90 days. They are refusing to return {$840.00}. I 've called headquarters, and spoken to the Bank manager, but now I 'm hoping you can help. I feel I am being pressured to accept it or go through the extensive work to move everything to another institute. As a business owner, I have several tentacles wrapped into my XXXX accounts with Huntington. To move would be costly and time consuming. Can you help?

Complaint: Hello, I have a checking account with Huntington bank. I recently made a bill pay through my checking account for {$1600.00}. The payment was issued and mailed by the bank on XXXX. My mortgage company never received the payment. I called the bank multiple times and spoke with several managers. The check that Huntington bank issued returned back to Huntington bank stamped ( returned back to sender, the address does n't exist ). However, Huntington bank still states that the payment was cashed when my mortgage company never received it. I spoke to a supervisor XXXX on XXXX, she indicated that the money will be placed back to my account on XXXX at XXXX. Today, XXXX, I still have no money. Multiple calls later, i have no answer about my missing funds and XXXX does n't return my calls. The bank admitted that they have a glitch on their part and the check was never cashed BUT they still refuse to deposit my money back. I spent so much time on the phone and even though I was promised for the money to be deposited back it 's still missing!!!!! I feel like HUNTONGTON stole my {$1600.00}! They just simply pocketed it! My money is still missing and I cant make my mortgage payment!

Complaint: I have had many on going issues with the honesty and transparency in regards to Huntington bank. I have seen instances of being double debited by te bank on menial debits but have since added up to XXXX ( the ones I have caught ). y second complaint to which I have wrote in the past is My card was double charged by a vendor I have filled out XXXX investigations and never hear anything from the bank and the customer service is horrid when I call. The charge was XXXX and you can see XXXX charges same amount. Nothing was ever done.

Complaint: I went to Huntington Bank on XX/XX/2016 at or around XXXX am. I walked into the bank and set with a banker for a sec to ask him about my new account. I had just made my Huntington account online XXXX days prior to coming into the bank. After I asked him would I be able to deposit my check ( payroll ) because I had forgot my I.D . at home and was kinda in a rush. He said yes, that I could deposit it and it would be available tomorrow. So I went up spoke the nice bank teller and gave her my check and then asked her would she need my social because i did n't have my I.D . and she said yes. I wrote down my social and signed the back of my check and gave it to her. Where she walked over to a computer and entered my check. After of about a minute or XXXX she came back with my deposit slip and said you are all set. I said thank you and I also asked what time would I be able to come pull some money out? She said tomorrow as soon as we open your check should be cleared. The next day I came thru XXXX XXXX thru window and requested to take out XXXX dollars and gave the teller my I.D . He than came back with in minutes and handed me back my I.D . saying your account was closed. Now it was very early for me and I not a morning person but I was on my way to work. So I then said well where is my money? He said do you have a second to come in and meet with our senior banker, I said well I do n't have a choice if I want to know where my money is do I?. So I came in and set down watched as the senior banker made a couple of calls and too so notes. I than asked how long will this take I have to get to work. Once he hung up I was rude and asked what now I want to know where my money is. I than asked would like me to go get my deposit slip from yesterday. He said yes, I came back in furious because now I do n't have my money and I was gon na be late for work. So i came back in with the slip but I also let the bank know about their self in a way. Letting them know that I should of received a phone call or email because it 's way faster. After I left they bank I called XXXX number to speak with someone else about this because I could not get correct answers from the people at the bank. The lady that I spoke with on the XXXX number said that she did not see a deposit made into the account i gave her. I then told her the branch was made and i guess she called them because XXXX minutes later she hopped back on the phone with information about my deposit, she said that the branch said it would take XXXX to XXXX business days before a check was cut and sent to me over night. Than she went on to say that the bank had no right to even deposit my check in the first place, that they had to have done an override to even deposit my check. I wanted her to go into detail but the call disconnected. So instead I wanted answers so I keeping and getting the same information from different bankers telling me that the branch had no right to do what they had done. So I felt that this compliant was n't about nothing but not allowing this to happen to anyone else.

Complaint: I recently opened a small business account with The Huntington National Bank. I specifically asked and was told that they do not stack withdrawals ahead of deposits, Apparenty they do. I had my deposit and a check for my house payment post to my account on the same day. Huntington chose to return the check and charge me a fee then add my deposit. I had even called them the day before to make certain that this would not happen. I was told that they never do this and that there should not be a problem. When I confronted them about it I was told, " Sorry, it is what it is '' and that the check was posted to my account the day before my deposit. I repeatedly told the account manager that it was not the case and was looking at the transactions on their site to which he again reiterated that it was the day prior.

Complaint: My debit card is part of a fraud investigation so the bank has locked my card. I live in Oklahoma and there are no Huntington banks near me. I asked XXXX to expedite my card because I have no ability to get to my funds, and he proceeded to tell me he would charge me {$25.00} for the card. I asked him to waive the fee due to the circumstances and he refused to waive the entire fee. I told him I was not ok with the fee being charged to my account but if that is the only way to get my card then I guess he would have to do it but I was not ok with it. I told him I would speak to his supervisor on Monday in regards to the situation and I feel like it is extremely poor customer service to have your customer get the money stolen by the bad guys and then for the bank to steal my money as well is just not very customer oriented. This is not the first run in I have had with this bank. They have refused to give me my money once before and that seems to be their motto.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2016, the bank charged me {$37.00} overdraft fee even though they have a 24-hour grace period. Huntington advertises this 24-hour grace period service and does not honor it. I feel this is deceptive business practice, because the 24 hour grace period service is only allowed at random or when they choose to let a customer use it.
