Complaint: I am actually trying to lodge a complaint about credit inquery into my credit as part of mortgage applications and job applications. Previously I have never had issues with my credit but now I have multiple hard inquiry over a recent period. Huntington bank XX/XX/2017 and XX/XX/2017. Neither of these were authorized. I had submitted information to a mortgage broker to allow them to come up with a GENERALIZED idea of possible loan amounts. After the first one was completed, i had emailed a different broker within the same company as I was trying to work in a different region than the original inquiry. They once again wanted all my information but i informed them specifically to NOT SUBMIT a request because I had all that information and huntington bank should already have all my information for any mortgage quotes they could provide. INSTEAD they inquired again which affected my credit score. I attempted to contact them to resolve this issue but the mortgage broker said there was nothing he could do. I COULD UNDERSTAND TWO DIFFERENT BANKS BUT THIS IS THE SAME BANK AND IT PENALIZES MY SCORE!!! Is there ANY WAY to get one instance removed? I understand the initial huntington bank but the duplicate really hurts my score and was unreasonable! Thank you for any help you may provide

Complaint: I opened a Huntington account in XX/XX/2018 with a {$200.00} bonus offer. The requirements were you had to make a {$1000.00} in deposits within 60 days and keep the account open for 90 days. It did NOT specify what type of deposits, it did state that you could NOT transfer money from another Huntington account as a deposit. I met the requirements and inquired about the bonus, I was told I didnt meet the requirements because I did an online transaction from XXXX to transfer funds to Huntington. I called 3 times! The customer service reps were extremely rude and I asked to speak to a supervisor, I got disconnected or hung up on the second time and the 3rd I was on hold for a long time so I hung up because I was so frustrated and could not get anywhere! I have screen shots of the requirements and no where does it state you can not do online transfers or Deposits! I want this situation rectified and an explanation!

Complaint: Friday around noon I called to make a payment on my mortgage of {$1000.00} as I can not do any payments yet online they report and cant do them in the branch as they have not sent me some special coupon nor closing day copy of the mortgage from the XXXX of LAST month. The {$1000.00} came out of checking and not into the balance that interest is collecting on. Nor on the balance that is due by end of the month that is now being told to pay up. Where is the {$1000.00} that was in my Huntington checking to my Huntington mortgage!?!?!?!

Complaint: I received a call from a local number on XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) stating they were XXXX XXXX and that I had an affidavit against me and I needed to call XXXX extension XXXX and reference case XXXX. I called the number and the person on the phone ( XXXX XXXX ) did not transfer me but took the case number saying he would transfer me to the correct person. He stated my current address, email, date of birth and social security number in full. He continued to tell me that he was working for a law office ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) that was just trying to get information on the account to see if it was worth pursuing. He claimed I had a debt from XX/XX/XXXX with Huntington Bank in the amount of {$830.00}. He said that they sent me a letter and that I did not respond. I did not receive a letter because it was at a previous address that I did not reside at the time they sent. He continued to tell me that if I refused to pay that they would sue me for the amount of {$2500.00} for interest and damages. He pressured me into paying a settlement amount of XXXX. He also said they were part of a credit reporting program that would put a freeze on all of my accounts once he entered my information into the system. He did not say that there was any type of legal or court ordered action to do this. I asked for a verification of debt and he put me on hold to send me an email ( from : XXXX ) with an attachment that had a verification of debt that does not seem legitimate. I asked if there was a local office I could talk to someone in person. He told me that he was in California and that their other office was in New York. The address on the verification of debt was for XXXX, TX. I told him that I wasn't refusing to pay but that I needed to seek legal counsel. He said that he would give me 24 hours or that it would be considered a refusal to pay. I told him that I was not refusing to pay again and that I would seek legal counsel. He told me to call him back within 24 hours at a different number ( XXXX ). I could not find any information on the actual law office and the address and lawyer ( XXXX XXXX ) in Texas does not exist. I believe this to be a fraudalent collection and my legal counsel confirmed that I should file a report with the FTC on XX/XX/XXXX.
