Complaint: This is coming after CFPB complait # XXXX. I paid my rent was twice accounted for then sudden several false charges were put on my account then 3 days later my rent was returned as unpaid. This is the same thing that happened in XX/XX/XXXX of this year involving both XXXX apartments and someone inside Huntington bank. Some of the items taken out of my checking account but not due or paid too items I dont have are {$50.00} to XXXX, & XXXX XXXX payment not due to XX/XX/XXXX. {$50.00} XXXX not due to the XX/XX/XXXX, & XX/XX/XXXX Coinbase not due toXX/XX/XXXX. All these items including other charges coming up to {$1200.00} were all paid after my rent payment but somehow that payment was listed as low funds after shown as paid. Also the first item that happened was that my debit card was locked without reason. I called as asked for explanation but no reason was given and no alert was shown on my XXXX website nor any alert texts sent to me. Again the XXXX phone person wouldnt identify themselves.

Complaint: I have two balances - an interest bearing balance and a transfer balance with a zero percent interest rate. I generally have been paying from ten to almost sixty dollars over the minimum payment to reduce the interest I pay on the interest bearing balance. In XX/XX/XXXX of this year, I realized that the principal balance was not decreasing as quickly as it should have been, given the amounts in excess of the minimum required payment I had paid so I began looking at my statements more closely. I discovered that in XX/XX/XXXX of this year, 92 % of my payment, after the deduction of interest, had been applied to my zero interest balance transfer amount and only 8 % of the payment had been applied to the interest bearing portion of my card balance. I called Customer Service and complained about how my payments were being applied. I was told that there was no way to control how payments were divided between the interest bearing balance and the zero interest transfer balance. By applying substantially more of my payments to the zero interest balance account than it does to the interest bearing balance, the bank is increasing the amount of interest that I pay and it receives. In three instances in the last 9 months, the bank has run afoul of 12 CFR 1026.53 ( a ) which provides that " when a consumer makes a payment in excess of the required minimum periodic payment for a credit card account under an open-end consumer credit plan, the card issuer must allocate the excess amount first to the balance with the highest annual percentage rate and any remaining portion to the other balances in descending order based on the applicable APR ''. In XX/XX/XXXX of this year, only {$11.00} of the {$15.00} I paid over the minimum was applied to the interest bearing portion of my account. In XX/XX/XXXX of this year, only {$17.00} of the {$31.00} I paid over the minimum was applied to the interest bearing portion of my account. In XX/XX/XXXX of this year, only {$6.00} of the {$13.00} I paid over the minimum was applied to the interest bearing portion of my account. In short, the principal on my interest bearing account, by law, should be reduced by {$23.00} and the interest adjusted accordingly. When I opened this account, I assumed that at least 50 % of my payments, after deducting earned interest, would be applied to my interest bearing balance. I feel most reasonable consumers would make the same assumption. I am very upset that this is not the case and that the bank can apply most of my payments to the zero interest account to increase the amount of interest it receives. This is very unfair to consumers.

Complaint: Back in 2016 my car was paid off in full, the bank cashed my check and I never received a title. I have tried to get a lien release from the bank for the last 3 months. I am trying to sell my car and need the title. I have called the bank every day for the last 2 months asking where it's at because it never showed up. They told me it was rushed and over nighted and that I should have it in the next few days and every Day that I have called them since it was supposedly sent. I call them to ask where it's at they always tell me it's on the way and I have yet to receive it. They have laughed and hung up on me. And they have lied about it being in the mail. I have done everything I know to do and I can't get any further and I'm not sure what else to do. The license branch told me to file a complaint so I can get this taken care of. I hope this helps to get me the title.

Complaint: To whom it may concern Huntington Bank is violating FCRA, by reporting my credit incorrectly. On XX/XX/2018 I spoke to XXXX XXXX at XXXX, when I received a notice stating this loan was late, and I promptly made a payment. After speaking to the cosigner on this loan, I found that there was in fact a payment made on XX/XX/2018, made by phone, but instead of Huntington putting the payment on the right loan they posted it on a XXXX XXXX loan # XXXX ( Which this is a breach of privacy that I have her loan information because of your XXXX up ) I called back the same evening on XX/XX/2018, and spoke to XXXX XXXX again at XXXX and explain the situation. He tells me that he has to put in a work order and that the payment on XX/XX/XXXX, will be pulled from XXXX 's account, posted correctly to my account, and the payment I made that evening would post for the XXXX payment. Oh and there is no confirmation number he can give me. Fast forward to XX/XX/2018, when I received another late notice, and realized the issue had NOT been fixed as XXXX said it would be. I spoke to XXXX at XXXX who put in another work order to have the misapplied payment applied correctly. She advised me to call back in 2-3 business days. I called back on XX/XX/2018, and spoke to XXXX at XXXX, she told me the payment had been moved and it would be back dated to XX/XX/2018, when the payment initially was paid, and the next payment would need to be paid no later than XX/XX/2018. I told her at that time that I was concerned about this on my credit. I was rest assured it would not hit my credit and ALL late fees would be waived. Can you imagine my surprise when I received FOUR credit alerts on XX/XX/18 showing that Huntington reported this loan late for XX/XX/2018 dropping my credit score over 60 points I was at a XXXX to be dropped to XXXX? Even though it was XXXX XXXX, the call system stated that the branches were closed but the phone center was available. 42 minutes on hold, I just hung up and drafted this email and sent it to them. Today XX/XX/2018 I called XXXX, spoke to XXXX, who said he was not able to help, but he didn't see any late fees, and that they are not able to tell customers if payments will affect their credit score, he gives me XXXX informs me I have to talk to customer service. I talk to XXXX and she says she has to transfer me to loans, because guess what? She cant help either. I was on hold for 33 minutes during this " transfer '' before I hung up and called back to customer service to only find out they were closed for the even. This is a joke right? That is probably why I was on a forever hold because just like XX/XX/XXXX they were closed and now they are closed and there is nothing in the works to say that they are closed. A whole hour and 15 minutes of my time was wasted, which my time cost {$28.00} an hour so that is about {$35.00} that Huntington owes me for attempting to do their job.

Complaint: I have been double charged for the last 3 months plus by XXXX. I called them, emailed, etc and the false charges arent stopped and I havent been reimbursed. So I called Huntington bank to hold charges and investigate XXXX charges. The telephone clerk said they couldnt do that. I asked why I wasnt given any reason. I then asked for a policy letter and the person on Huntington call line identified herself as XXXX send, no. Secondly, I asked for company employee number she hung up. In short Huntington wouldnt put a hold on false charges and still hasnt correct false overcharges, complete account audit or tell me where nearly {$900.00} of overcharges came from or accounted for. XXXX likewise havent reimbursed me for false charges this clearly is account hacking on both accounts and they both are covering up companies insecurity.

Complaint: The Huntington Bank had a national news story break about skimmers on ATM 's in XXXX, Ohio. Following me making a {$440.00} cash deposit in an ATM in XXXX I has fraudulent transaction in my account. I've now spoke with 5 different representative including 2 supervisors who has all told me different things. First I was told they would expedite the fraud claim and it would be resolved within the business day. Then I was told the first rep could have reversed the pending transactions but now that my debit card has been cancelled they could no longer. Then I was told the rush could take up to 48 hours to resolve and could be as early as end of business day Friday of last week. Now I'm being told they have up to 10 business days before they will issue a provisional credit but could take up to 90 days to investigate. The different information and conflicting time periods have left me frustrated.

WE HAD UNTIL XX/XX/XXXX BEFORE THEY CLOSED ALL OUR ACCOUNTS. THE LETTER THEY SENT US STATED THEIR REASON AS " ACCOUNTS EXCEED OUR RISK TOLERANCE. '' THEY WILL NOT EXPLAIN RISK TOLERANCE AND WHEN WE TRIED TO PULL THE REST OF OUR MONEY TODAY, XX/XX/XXXX, THEY PUT A HOLD ON OUR ACCOUNTS AND NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THEY MAIL US A CHECK, WHICH MAY TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS. WE NEED OUR MONEY NOW. OUR DIRECT DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS ARE NOW MESSED UP FOR TWO MONTHS. THEY NEVER GAVE US ENOUGH TIME TO SWITCH BANKS. THEY WOULDN'T RETURN PHONE CALLS FOR FIVE DAYS AND WOULDN'T GIVE US THEIR NAME EITHER, IT IS TOP SECRET TOO. WE HAVE BEEN DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK SINCE XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: My debit card was suspended without notice or cause even when funds are available. I have alerts from Huntington Bank, no alert or reason was given why card was suspended. I called and the reasons given were false. I was told that some companies keep trying to charge account, I get prebilling texts from all my accounts received none from the companies they said were trying to bill me, also were billed for bills earlier in month. Non alerts or emails were sent to me which I have through Huntington services. This is a continuation of stealing monies from my account from people inside Huntington and instead of solving problems Huntington keeps covering it up. False accountability keeps happening and CFPB no longer stops this fraud from happening.

Complaint: My debit card was lost/stolen when I was in XXXX XXXX, Nevada and was charged many times without my consent. I reported it stolen within 6 hours when I realized it happened. I talked to my bank and they had already shut my card off due to the amount it was used and said the dispute would be settled in 7-10 days. It was not settled within that time frame. I subsequently was charged over draft fees on top of the money that was charged even after I reported it stolen. I reported it stolen XX/XX/XXXX and talked to them on XX/XX/XXXX when my issue was still not resolved. They proceeded to tell me the dispute could take up to 90 days. I talked to another person on XX/XX/XXXX and they said my money would be returned by XX/XX/XXXX. My account was not corrected on that day and I received a letter on XX/XX/XXXX stating that based on their evidence that I authorized those charged which I did not. The bank letter is dated XX/XX/XXXX but I did not receive it until the XXXX. At my local branch my mom talked to the bank manager on XX/XX/XXXX and that I was not getting my money back and I would be getting a letter. I never received a phone call this entire time from the bank when they said they would be contacting me for further questions or information. Even with the letter I received stating the charges I was disputing was incorrect also. They only had maybe half of the charges. I have 24 unauthorized charges to XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, Nevada totaling {$980.00}. I have another 4 XXXX charges in XXXX XXXX, Nevada totaling {$91.00}. One charge to XXXX XXXX at {$13.00} and another to XXXX XXXX at $ XXXX.Due to all of these unauthorized charges I have 9 overdraft fees totaled at {$260.00}. I am disputing a total of 30 charges for the amount of {$1100.00}. Also I am disputing {$260.00} in overdraft fees. That would be a total of {$1300.00} that I am disputing.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 we paid our RV loan in full with an overage. The payment made by a third party buyer was in excess of the payoff amount, and paid in the form of a cashier 's check. We deposited the check to Huntington Bank that same day and were told that we could expect a refund check in 7 business days. The check did not arrive, but we received a payoff letter stating our account was paid in full and closed. We called to inquire about the title and check, and were told they couldn't do anything until it was 20 days deficient. We waited the 20 days and asked for the check and title. We were told they could reissue the check and title, but the fastest way to obtain the title would be to take the letter to the XXXX. The letter had the wrong address, so the XXXX won't release the title to me. They asked me to go back to my bank to get this corrected. I called Huntington again on XX/XX/18 and explained the letter had the incorrect address, I'm not able to get the title for my vehicle. They admitted that they put the incorrect information in their system and the check, title, and letter all had the incorrect address. They reissued the check and title at this time. Today is XX/XX/18 - 5 additional business days and I still don't have a check or title. I live within a 10 mile radius of Huntington Bank 's corporate office. I have called and pleaded with this company to do the right thing and provide me with money that was never theirs. They refused. I asked to have them do an Electronic Funds Transfer from their bank to mine. They refused. I asked for them to make the funds available for withdrawal at a local branch. They refused. They have my title and my money - they are taking no steps ( other than standard " It's in the mail, what else do you want from us '' ) to resolve this issue. I expect that if a company finds their process failed, they would do what they can in order to do right by the customer. I feel that not only is this not in Huntington 's process, the representatives they employ are beholden to a corporate motto and can not think/deviate from this process. If this situation were reversed, I would be assessed a daily fee until the funds were deposited to them. The irony of a bank being late paying a consumer and using the phrase " the check is in the mail '' should not be lost with anyone. I hope that this example enables a quality review of their practice and processes when something doesn't go correctly. I hope that this complaint is the only one of it's type that Huntington has to deal with. I hope that Huntington truly values customers as their vision says " At Huntington, we see it as our responsibility to look out for people. Theres a common bond that connects us all as humans, and together, we can make this world better. '' I don't feel that in my situation, Huntington is holding up their vision - I feel that Huntington doesn't take any responsibility to fix their error, simply put - they *might* send the check in the mail.

Complaint: I purchased a condo in XXXX County, Ohio XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. Since that point, my Mortgage lender, Huntington National bank has not paid any of my county taxes due in XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX, and my mortgage states that Huntington is responsible for that. Huntington has, However payed over {$13000.00} out of my Escrow, ( making it over {$10000.00} net negative ) to 4 parcels that I am not, and have never been associated with. On XX/XX/XXXX, I saw my mortgage statement increased from my regular {$400.00} to {$2600.00}. I contacted Huntington mortgage department on XX/XX/XXXX, spoke with XXXX, who discovered that those 4 parcels being paid from my escrow did not match my name or address. She also noted that my parcel was not listed. She told me to call back on XX/XX/XXXX for resolution. I have since spoken with multiple other people from Huntingtons tax department, including Supervisor ( name available ). They are continuing to do research but still do not have a resolution. At this point, {$2600.00} is scheduled to come out of my checking account towards my mortgage, due to Huntingtons error. And my county taxes are still delinquent, but huntington has verbally told me they will cover all penalties and fees associated.

Complaint: In early XX/XX/XXXX, a bank statement from Huntington Bank was forwarded to our new address in New Jersey. The Account No. is shown on the attached copy of the statement. We never opened this account. When I called the bank in early XX/XX/XXXX, they said it was opened by someone with a telephone number that is neither mine or my wife 's. The statement claims we have {$9.00} in a savings account. The statement activity is supposed to be from XX/XX/18 to XX/XX/XXXX. In addition, the account was opened in Ohio. Neither my wife nor I have ever been in Ohio. The person I spoke to said the complaint was being transferred to " the investigative team. '' We have not heard back in several weeks and I called again today. The person I spoke to said there was no record in their system of my original call. She took the information again and agreed with me that this seems like fraud. When I asked why there was no record of my original call, she said she didn't know. When I asked what was going to happen to the information I provided, she said it was being transferred to " the investigative team. '' We are concerned that someone may be opening an account in my name without my authorization.
