Complaint: I have had XXXX short sale offers submitted to Dovenmuehle Mortgage. The first one went all the way through escrow, but when there was yet another delay on XXXX 's part, the buyers have walked away. The mortgage company refuses to talk to me or to communicate with my real-estate agent. Their letters say I have a point of contact, but I can never get to her, and I am still receiving calls from their collection department, which I understand is illegal. I have provided all the information they have asked for on numerous occasions, but every time I attempt to contact them, they never seem to " have it in their system ''. In fact, the last representative I talked to said they have no record of any short sale offers ever having been made, which I know is a lie. I can not keep this house, I have tried for years to get it sold, but they will not cooperate. At this point, I want to just do a deed in lieu of foreclosure, they can have it, but again, nobody will talk to me.

Complaint: Due to financial hardship contacted XXXX to obtain mortgage assistance in XXXX 2015 *before mortgage was late. Submitted workout package in XXXX 2015, received misleading information from Loss Mitigation Department advising that account must be XXXX months past due prior to approval. XXXX XXXX, 2015 received denial for forbearance, repayment plan or any other type of assistance. On XXXX/XXXX/2015, Submitted 1 month payment. Received no calls or correspondences. I checked account via online and noticed that it was not credited. Contacted XXXX and was informed that it was returned by XXXX via USPS mail on XXXX/XXXX/2015. I continuously called every day to check on the status and they repeatedly stated it was returned on XX/XX/XXXX via USPS mail. It was credited to my bank account on XXXX/XXXX/2015. Then, XXXX demanded XXXX months payment by XXXX/XXXX/2015 to stop acceleration process. Payment made on XXXX/XXXX/2015 ( {$3600.00} XXXX. XXXX sent certified letter stating that they are going to foreclosure on our home and demanded another {$4000.00} to avoid foreclosure. Documentation provides XXXX different toll free numbers for assistance. Called all XXXX numbers and each number is to a different company : Dovenmuhle or XXXX. Receiving phone calls up to XXXX XXXX a day. Answer each call and the representative tells us to disregard call. I would like resolution and an honest answer from XXXX and Dovenmuhle on what is the status of the account and if they plan on working with an active duty service member on a repayment plan. I 'd appreciate a cease to the threatening daily letters and phone calls considering that I have met all of their demands to date and unfortunately they have not honored their agreement.

Complaint: Dovenmuehle was transferring our mortgage servicing to their other company, XXXX, and we were in process with another lender in refinancing the mortgage. When the loan was paid-off in full, they reported it as a short sale, which has seriously damaged our credit. I called XXXX, as their name is showing on my credit report with the short sale information under their loan # XXXX RUSHMORE XXXX. I USED THE PHONE NUMBER ON THE CREDIT REPORT UNDER THIS ENTRY. I SPOKE WITH THEM SEVERAL TIMES TODAY DOING WHAT I COULD TO GET THE FASTEST RESOLUTION TO THE INCORRECT INFORMATION. After faxing them the credit report to show what they had done, calling several times, I was n't getting immediate attention to this issue and asked for a manager, then they told me I had to call their other company XXXX they are apparently related ) who transferred the loan to them, Devonmuehle. I called them and they were closed before XXXX XXXX XXXX time.

Complaint: We started a short sale process with Dovenmuehle Mortgage of XXXX XXXX Illinois in XXXX of this year. They have delayed the completion of this process over the last 3 months. Short sale was necessary because they had refinanced my mother 's property for more than it was worth at the time and left her with more debt on the property than a normal sale would pay off. She had to move out of her house due to declining health and had to resort to short sale to keep from going further in debt with a normal sale. Complaint: Thanks to XXXX XXXX 's furlough program and a lengthy and costly divorce, I was forced to file bankruptcy in XXXX. I was informed by XXXX XXXX, that because I filed for bankruptcy, they can not, by law, send me a monthly mortgage statement. I receive a Form XXXX at the end of the tax year. Prior to the XXXX tax year, the Form XXXX did not show the loan balance. I had to call XXXX XXXX loan servicing department and have them mail me a statement. The matter concerning the homeowner 's insurance gets a little complicated. In essence, the roof developed a leak, I had it fixed but the roofing company that performed the repairs went out of business and I did n't have anything to prove that the repairs were completed, so the insurance company ( XXXX ), cancelled the homeowner 's policy. Ironically, I was referred to the roofer by XXXX when I filed the claim. Wherein after being notified by XXXX of the cancellation, XXXX XXXX, took out a policy with another insurer but I have to pay the premiums which is almost double what I was paying. So I 'm in a Catch 22 situation : In order to obtain coverage on my own, I have to provide proof of insurance. Without proof of insurance, I have to maintain the insurance coverage the XXXX XXXX obtained. And unless I can get the roof replaced, I ca n't obtain insurance ( at least not at a reasonable cost, if at all ). I even applied for HARP to get out from under XXXX XXXX or at least reduce the mortgage payment enough to allow me to have the roof replaced, but the XXXX XXXX made that effort unnecessarily difficult. So now, I avoid having to deal with them entirely. The current issue is that I attempted to obtain a loan to have the roof replaced ; however, the XXXX XXXX has not been reporting my mortgage payments to any of the credit reporting agencies. As a result, not only is there no reporting of my mortgage payments since XXXX but I ca n't get a loan because no insurance company will write a policy until XXXX XXXX, XXXX -- three years after I originally filed a claim to have the roof fixed.

Complaint: I went to my online Dovenmuehle account in late XXXX, 2015 to increase the principal payment to my monthly mortgage payment by {$700.00}. I changed my mind and went back online and entered {$0.00} in the box for additional payment. My XXXX bank statement showed that Dovenmuehle did in fact withdraw the additional {$700.00}. I went back online to check if I had not cleared the additional payment. The amount was {$0.00} for additional payment. I assumed I had made the change too close to the payment date and did not contact the mortgage company. My next automatic payment was again for the increased amount. I called Dovenmuehle and explained that the additional payment was incorrect and asked that they reverse the payment to my account and withdraw the correct amount. I desperately need the additional {$700.00} this month and last month too! The mortgage company said they could not reverse the payment, required me to print off my bank statement and fax to them to prove that the funds were actually withdrawn ( they do n't know that?! ). The mortgage company will write me a check and mail me the refund. I wanted the money put back into my account now not later. I know they can make that happen but they were not willing to do so. So much for customer service.

Complaint: Re : PMI Cancelation - Unethical Practices by Mortgage CompanyReport on Practices of Dovenmuehle Mortgage ( DMI ) XXXX, IL XXXXI have been trying to cancel my PMI insurance since XXXX and have been given the run around in a very unethical manner. I initiated the process by calling their helpline representative and received a form to fill ( 2 weeks to receive ). I sent the form back immediately. After 4-6 weeks I received the same blank form, without any further instructions about the next step. We then re-submitted it and same thing happened. The initial form was again sent to me without any actionable notes about the next step. These occurrences make it clear that the practice of DMI is aimed to give the consumer the run around and delay the cancellation process. I have spent several hours on the phone with the Company. I asked the technician if the form can be e-mailed or faxed, they said that their system is not capable of it. Note that another employee was able to send the initial form via e-mail, making it the XXXX time, but I still do n't have the appraisal request form. They are claiming that their escrow department that handles the PMI cancelation process does not directly talk to customers or expedite the distribution of any forms. With todays business practices, there is no excuse for not automating the PMI cancelation form process - other then to stall and deter the cancellations. I am writing so the CFPB investigate the Company for the deceitful manners. I have waited approximately 12 weeks and have been paying the PMI. I have never been late on my loan, in fact have made more then the minimum due.

Complaint: In XXXX we purchased a home with XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, Fl. We financed the home with XXXX and our loan was serviced via Dovenmuehle Mortgage. In XXXX I became unable to work and sought to have a modification done on the loan to make it more affordable. In XXXX of XXXX Dovenmuehle stated that we qualified for a modification and that one would be " no problem '', so we started the process with them. They told us not to pay while the modification was taking place and even told us that they would not accept payment. In XXXX of XXXX, their underwriter contacted us and told us that we did not qualify for a modification so it was denied. We asked for other options and were told that the only other option was a repayment plan - we suggested multiple payment plans to Dovenmuehle and each plan was denied - they stated that the behind balance had to be paid within XXXX months ( and we were behind more than XXXX months - meaning we would have had to make more than double payments ). They would not accept any payments other than the behind balance or what they said we had to pay to catch up. They refused to help us in any way and have now filed foreclosure on the property.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2015 a complete short sale packet was sent to the lender. We followed up daily to see if there is a status update on the foreclosure sale date postponement. EACH time, they were having difficulty authorizing agent XXXX XXXX XXXX and took several minutes to dig through and find the authorization sheet. Every update they gave XXXX XXXX was indicating that docs are in and under review. It took more than a week for them to simply let us know they needed bank statements dating back to XXXX and to advise they did n't receive forms ( RMA, HUD1, Articles of Incorp, and XXXX ) to which we definitely sent and have confirmation of submission. They are very unorganized and are showing lag in response time which is resulting to our foreclosure sale date approaching quickly ; as a request to postpone has yet to be placed.

Complaint: XXXX companies involved XXXX ( accnt # XXXX ) and Dovenmuehle ( accnt # ending in XXXX ) both working under XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX loan # XXXX. My wife and I are both in the military and we are trying to buy / close on a house in the next 30 days but I cant make the offer until I have a letter from XXXX to clear up a problem I did n't create, but I am doing my best to fix. Dovenmeuhle was servcing our loan since the refi XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX the loan was sold to Lender-live. In spite of multiple attempts to give address corrections to Dovenmuehle since XX/XX/XXXX, Dovenmuehle failed to make corrections to our mailing address and also inform us of the account changes. Even Dovenmuehle sold the loan to XXXX XXXX, they continued to cash our checks. XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX they forwarded our money to XXXX XXXX, however in XX/XX/XXXX they stopped forwarding the money to lender-live, however continued to cash our checks vs returning the checks to our banking institution ( XXXX ). The only reason we became aware of the now 4 months past due amount on this loan for our rental property in XXXX is because we are trying to buy a home here in XXXX since XXXX. Our credit score was in the XXXX 's back in XXXX and now they are at XXXX and we need this black eye removed from our credit ASAP so we can buy this house and get kids in schoolWe have brought the account current by taking XXXX dollars out of our savings because Dovenmuehle refuses to tell us when we will have our money back. XXXX refuses to acknowledge the mix up and provide us a letter to clear the issue up with the ( XXXX ) credit companies. My wife and I own XXXX homes as we have spent the last 20 years in the service to our country and through deployments we still have religiously paid all of our bills through the XXXX bill pay service every month for payment on this property ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ) and every other property. I confident that when you review the attachments outlining the facts, you will see that we are not at fault here and an investigation into this prepdatory lending on all the above named parties in warranted. Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a home in XXXX XXXX with my VA loan financed through XXXX and serviced by Dovenmuehle Mortgage. I purchased Flood Insurance from XXXX with {$170000.00} Building & XXXX contents and a premium of {$1900.00} per year. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX mailed a renewal notice to my lender. My lender, at its sole discretion, chose option B on the bill and purchased additional coverage without my consent. I did not catch this until XXXX when they tried to raise my mortgage payments. XXXX said they are required to provide XXXX options by XXXX. I think this is unethical. When I called XXXX the XXXX time they just told me the premium increased. They did not tell me they purchased additional coverage instead of renewing the policy I already had. They chose option B which is {$190000.00} building, {$26000.00} Contents with a {$2100.00} premium. I NEVER Authorized them to add coverage. When I questioned them more they told me it is their standard operating procedure to " pay the highest premium on the bill ''. Again, this is unethical. The way I see this is XXXX is mandating bill 's to be sent with an option to increase coverage, mortgage companies are " automatically '' purchasing the increased coverage, and the Insurance companies are getting rich off unsuspecting customers that trust their mortgage company is doing the right thing instead of padding their books and policies. This was not a force placed policy. It was only a renewal.
