Complaint: Ditech financialMy regular mortgage payment is about XXXX monthly but I have making a conscious effort to about XXXX for the past year. A couple of months ago I receive a notice the my account was going into escrow which would increase my monthly payment from about XXXX monthly to nearly XXXX monthly, I don't need them to pay my taxes. I do that on my on.Plus my balance seem to constantly increase of stay the same as if my payments are not being applied to my account correctly.

Complaint: There was a lawsuit against Green Tree Servicing to pay $XXXX XXXX to settle federal charges that I feel we/husband I should have been included. We were treated horribly. Even when we were trying to pay off the loan, the representatives were very rude and threatening. We would receive a call one day and be told it is on record when and how we would pay off our loan, yet someone would call the next day threatening. We would have to go through the story again and the very next day someone would call again. We were finally able to pay the loan off thank God; however, we had the loan for almost 20 years and should not have had to be subjected to such rudeness.

Complaint: My mortgage company Ditech Financial is currently in bankruptcy. Four months ago they sent a letter instructing us to start making our mortgage and insurance payments separately. They also changed our one account number to two different account numbers. We followed the instructions and its been nothing but issues. Ditech is claiming we have not made any insurance payments. We pay via bill pay. We have called multiple times, our credit union called them, we have sent proof of payment, our credit union has sent proof of payment. We have written letters, sent certified letters, verified the account numbers. When we call they simply say we did not make the payments; they have not responded to the letters. All of the payments have been made, all on time, proof of payment has been sent and they refuse to correct the account. This is not a clerical error, what they are doing is criminal. Has anyone seen the amount of complaints against them? Its unbelievable, they are ruining peoples lives and nothing is being done about it.

Complaint: I have been trying to remove my PMI payment for more than 1 year. I have never made a late payment - ever. The mortgage company, Ditech, required that I obtain a new home appraisal, which was done approx 2 years ago - my loan to value is currently below 80% and still, they refuse to take the PMI off of my payment despite numerous requests.

Complaint: I filed a complaint through the CFPB on XX/XX/XXXX, because Ditech Financial was mis-stating our actual escrow balance, and misappropriating extra monies paid to the escrow fund rather than to the principal of our loan, as was our intent. We requested Ditech send us a corrected escrow analysis, show the actual amount in this fund, and to also reduce our escrow appropriation amount to $XXXX per month. Ditech did update the analysis. It is now showing what I believe to be a fairly accurate balance amount. However, they are still showing that there is a shortage of $XXXX in this escrow fund, which is simply not true. They still want us to pay more per month, based on this perceived "shortage". Even by their own projection of fund balances, it never runs out of cash, and in fact, gets to $XXXX, which they now say is a shortage of $XXXX They base this on what they call a "minimum escrow balance" needed of $XXXX. I see no reason they need to have nearly $500 of our money, as a minimum escrow amount. I could live with say.. the $XXXX that it currently shows as the minimum it will currently drop to. Why do they need more than that? They do not. Also, I requested in the last complaint that the escrow amount of our mortgage payment get dropped immediately to the correct amount. However, in the current statement (on paper and online), they are still showing that they are going to apply $XXXX for the XX/XX/XXXXmortgage payment, which will once again take away from the extra payment we are trying to pay toward the principal.

Complaint: I have a mortgage with Ditech Financial on my residence purchased in XX/XX/XXXX. I declared bankruptcy in XX/XX/XXXX however remained in the property and made my payments as agreed. As a XXXX I was called back to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX for one year. I notified Ditech about my XXXX and this would effect my ability to make payments. I provided Ditech a copy of my XXXX XXXX which they acknowledged receiving. Ditech proceeded to foreclose on the property and has handed the property over to XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX, and ( XXXX ) XXXX to proceed with foreclosure. I am requesting they stop the foreclosure proceedings allowing me my protections under SCRA.

Complaint: In XX/XX/2019, I agreed to a Forbearance Plan with Ditech to make a portion of my payments due to current financial hardship. Both Ditech and I agreed to a monthly payment plan which is due to end in XX/XX/2019, at which time I will began to make full payments and pay any outstanding balance owed. At the time of establishing the Forbearance, Ditech stated that it would be reported to the credit agency as " Forbereance Plan and Paid to as Agreed. As of today I am current with all agreed to payment arrangements under the Plan. However, Ditech has reported it to the credit agency as " Past Due '' on the balance owed ( minus the Forbearance payments ), as opposed to being in a " Forbearance and Paid to As Agreed ''. This past due status has impacted my credit score substantially. On XX/XX/19, Ditech says they are unable to provide me with documentation/material outlining the Forbearance process and how its reported to the credit agencies.

Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX refinanced my childhood home with XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$52000.00}. I paid a premium of {$600.00} at closing for Title Insurance to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The loan was set up with XXXX XXXX. Then sold to Ditech Financial LLC Servicing. The loan is backed by XXXX XXXX. On or about XX/XX/XXXX my new neighbor informed me that my property was landlocked aka no ingress or egress. XXXX XXXX XXXX would not help or give any hope of resolving the issue. Then on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX my home received 7 1/2 feet of water and stayed under water for 14 days! As of todays date XX/XX/XXXX it has been 741 days and still not back in my childhood home and still landlocked! The home received {$100000.00} in damages with only {$42000.00} in flood insurance. The XXXX cashed out in the amount of {$42000.00} payable to Ditech and myself in XXXX of XXXX. Ditech would not release the proceeds. Went into forbearance. The Texas General Land Office and FEMA forcing me to pay {$680.00} rent on a travel trailer. The house note is in the amount of {$510.00}. That includes property taxes, insurance and flood insurance. The property has 3 different Elevation of Certificates the one I paid for claimed that the property is in zone C, the County and City said it is in zone B, XXXX XXXX, XXXX and FEMA said it was located in zone A-12. On XX/XX/XXXX Ditech sent me a letter stating that they could not help me with the landlocked issue. Ditech said I was in forbearance so I used some of the monthly payments to try getting back in the home and then received a Notice of Default to be cured by XX/XX/XXXX. The Title Insurance Policy in the amount of {$52000.00} has been paid out to an unknown company while the property is still land locked and uninhabitable!

Complaint: My mortgage company Ditech went chapter XXXX, sent my loan to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. They are charging me for escrow, I pay my own taxes and home owner insurance, I always have. I cant get them to correct the problem, its been three months, Loan transfer date was XX/XX/2019, I have sent {$3200.00} to straighten this out. They did not properly apply the money, also sent {$1000.00} towards principal, also not correctly applied. Please help the company is a nightmare. I have notified my lawyer and I refuse to send any more payments until they fix this easy but somehow impossible for them to fix problem. I have sent several emails to customer service and have not received one back form them.

Complaint: Ditech decided to pay our property taxes in full in order to get the 2 % discount. Our escrow was set up for quarterly payments. We found out what they did when we got our yearly escrow estimator. At first when I called, they said the town only sent them the lump sum amount. The town and XXXX both said that was not true which forced Ditech to admit it was their decision. We are asking them to go back to quarterly payments for 2020 and they are refusing. Lump sum would have been fine if the escrow account had been set up that way originally but it was not. We did not authorize this change and we do not care about saving the 2 %, it saves us less than {$100.00}. This is our money paying our taxes.

Complaint: I originated this loan with Green Tree XXXX in XXXX with my first payment XX/XX/XXXX. Its governance has since moved to Ditech XXXX. I wonder if this was a bad loan at the time with, perhaps, fraudulent intent. We have been paying off the {$52000.00} loan for 13 years now and have only paid it off to {$42000.00} which is {$10000.00}. This hardly seems correct. I have asked DiTech if we can lower our interest rate, but they say they do not have any programs to do so. My husband has incurable XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) from his time stationed in the XXXX at XXXX XXXX, so there must be a program to help pay this off faster than it is going now. It does not make sense that we will end up paying double the amount we applied for. I am always wary of paying more on my monthly bill with the practices I see at DiTech. I don't trust they will apply the funds correctly to our benefit. I've attached the most recent payment history and looked at the payoff quote compared to last year 's payoff quote. XX/XX/XXXX payoff is {$43000.00} XX/XX/XXXX payoff is XXXX Again, how is this possible? As I said, I am not sure what is wrong, but after hearing how GreenTree and DiTech have been accused of fraudulent loan practices, I would like to find out how to discharge this loan by applying the payments we have already paid and canceling this loan legally. Complaint: I just purchased my home XX/XX/2019, and to my knowledge my first payment was due XX/XX/2019. Before XX/XX/XXXXI received a letter in the Mail from Ditech stating they were my new servicer. I called XX/XX/2019 to gain clarity on whether I needed to pay the previous servicer or Ditech. The representative from Ditech informed me on a recorded line that I did not have to pay the previous servicer, she assured me my first payment would be due on XX/XX/2019 and it would be made directly to Ditech. Any payments I wished to make prior would go towards interest and they weren't required. I spoke with her atleast 15 minutes gaining assurance, with my wife as a witness. I also asked her what happens to the XX/XX/XXXX payment, and she assured me there was no payment with Ditech or with the previous servicer to be made. Later, I received mail from my previous servicer stating the payment was in fact due and I had to pay them directly. I gave Ditech a call XX/XX/2019 and I spoke with the supervisor concerning what I was advised. She listened to the recordings from the previous representatives and I, she too agreed I was given wrong/misleading information. She stated she did not have authority to give me a credit, grace period to pay Ditech or anything of that nature. All she could do was discipline the worker. Her solution did not have the fact that I was lied to and now things were completely out of order. I requested to file a complain with corporate, the supervisor filed it and gave me the ref. # XXXX. She said I can call anytime to find out the status, otherwise I would be updated from them. Today, XX/XX/2019, my wife XXXX XXXX gave Ditech a call regarding a follow up/status on the complaint. Based on what the representative stated, she didn't see anything directly from corporate regarding a response, but her supervisor informed her we could not skip a payment or push it to the end of the loan. The representative also said we'd have to send in a statement asking if corporate sent correspondence in. We weren't informed that this is how Ditech processes complaints, so here we are looking for a solution.
