Can't use card to make purchases
Complaint: I have a personal loan with Discover Bank of principal balance of XXXX. Also I have a Discover credit card always in good standing without any late payment.
On XX/XX/2018 was supposed to be the first due date of the personal loan ( Discover ). By personal problems ; the first payment was paid on XX/XX/2018. The next payment was on XX/XX/2018 ( due date is number 3 with grace period of more five days ) so the repayment is current and on track at the present. Also prior to XX/XX/XXXX ; the late fee of XXXX was paid ( XXXX dollars ).
Discover Bank with out any prior notification, any call and in violation of the personal loan contract ; suspended or freeze my credit available of my discover credir card. Approximately 6,700 of XXXX ( total ) is my credit available. So I always maintained in good standing my credir card.
Discover violated its contract, cancel my credit available with out any prior notification and using the credit card as a collateral and suspended without two missed payments.
Additionally the last statement of the personal loan reflects different principal balance in compare with the credit report at this moment. The principal balance in the credit report is not correct infuse by Discover and its mayor than real principal balance reflects in the hard copy loan statement. So it is malicious information in the credit report.

Complaint: back in XX/XX/2018 I contacted this company sending them copies of affidavit that this debt was a result of identity theft I do not recognize this account and it needs to be removed from their records and any reporting agency that they have sent it too .... I have not been able to get a response ... then I mailed them again registered XX/XX/2018 I have had numerous accounts opened from fake addresses from my identity being stolen this is my last attempt to reach out before potential exploring potential legal ways to fix this problem ..

Complaint: I had fraud committed against me and reported it to Discover, XXXX and XXXX card in XX/XX/XXXX after I had found out about it. I reported it to the local police department and they are going to arrest the person that did it as we know who it was. I have called these companies several times since XX/XX/XXXX explaining what has happened and yet the still do not correct my credit reports. I filed disputes with XXXX and the results are stating that the credit card companies say they reported correctly to the bureaus. I have a police report and have given them everything they have asked for to no avail. please help me get this corrected as I have already spent hundreds of hours on this whole fraud case to clear my good name.

Complaint: Discover Card advertised a promotional to open a new account. The ad ran as " dollar for dollar cashback match '' for the first year. I opened the account in XXXX. My first bill was for $ XXXX. I received {$.00} cashback match. Didn't make any sense so I waited for the second bill where I had charged $ XXXX and paid the bill two days ago, so reviewing the bill was fresh in my mind. I have an excellent credit rating. I was listening to XXXX apx. XXXX XXXX. this morning, CDT, Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX. The commercial again repeated, " dollar for dollar cashback match ''. I called Discover and was told it is not " dollar for dollar cashback match '' it is 1 % cashback match. 1 % of XXXX pennies is XXXX cent, not XXXX pennies. So my most recent bill was $ XXXX, my credit match is {$3.00}. This is NOT dollar for dollar. I explained this to two Discover agents, who reiterated the cashback match is 1 %, NOT " dollar for dollar cashback match '' for the first year, as repeatedly advertised. This is completely false advertising, a gimmick to hook in new customers and is completely false. Having repeated the same information 3 times to two different agents, I simply said, this is deliberate false advertising, am filing a complaint. No where on their commercials is 1 % cashback match EVER mentioned.

Overcharged for something you did purchase with the card
Complaint: In XX/XX/2018 I ordered and received six bottles of XXXX beverage product at a cost of {$200.00} and I paid with my Discover Card. The order was delivered by XXXX. It weighted 24 lbs.
Discover Card charged me {$1000.00} for this order. I disputed the charge ( Dispute case number XXXX ). I provided the XXXX proof of the shipment weight and details about product itself. A {$1000.00} of product would have weighted 120 lbs. Discover Card will not tell me what they claim I purchased for {$1000.00}.
I called the vendor twice and they orally admitted the mistake and promised to correct it. They did not correct it. I wrote to the XXXX legal department asking for a correction. They did not respond.
Discover Card has threatened to ruin my credit ( FICO ) score which is now XXXX.

Complaint: The beginning of XXXX, I got a call from another card questiong a charge to my account of {$400.00} from XXXX XXXX, MN. I advised them I did not make the charge and to not accept any further charges from XXXX XXXX.
At that time I called my 4 charge cards and told them NOT to honor any XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$400.00}. They all took my request seriously and did not allow any more charges specifically XXXX XXXX, MN for {$400.00} I called Discover also. XXXX XXXX continued from XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, all for {$40000.00}, XX/XX/XXXX & XXXX, XXXX XXXX ), XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX charges for {$400.00} - XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX again {$420.00}. LOOK AT ALL THE CONSEQUTIVE CHARGES MADE ON MY ACCOUNT with 4 on XX/XX/XXXX alone.
NO ONE PICKED UP ON THIS ABNORMAL BEHAVIOR. I NEVER GOT A CALL QUESTIONING THE VALIDITY OF THE CHARGES!

Complaint: From XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX, my wallet and phone were stolen from my possession. They perpetrator who spent money on my account nearly XXXX dollars and they found me responsible for it because the police department failed to give me a copy of the police report I made XX/XX/XXXXand also said another reason was they seen a transaction before on my account which was named XXXX but anyways there where I found the suspect who stole my wallet and phone. There is so much stuff you can use or buy that will come up as a XXXX transaction that they shouldn't pin that on me. The third reason they said I would have to pay them back is because they called the phone to verify the transaction that took place but keep in mind that XXXX don't need to be unlocked to be answered and they also didn't asked for verification of my identity at all. I was already on my way up to XXXX for vacation with my friends and I didn't try to call from a different phone because I thought nothing of the suspect being dumb enough to use my card and I didn't want to call from another phone to make it seem like I'm the suspect. so I went ahead and tracked the XXXX that got stolen from me and I seen they went all the way from where I live to XXXX, FL so I cancelled my trip to make my way out to getting my stuff back. so when I figured out how much they have spent on my account I called discover from the broken phone I retrieved after hunting this person down and explained only parts of the story about the fraud done so they can hurry and get this fraud off my card and stop my card from working anymore to the DISCOVER Card REPRESENTATIVE, she said everything would be fine and that we hold our customers 0 % responsible for fraud charges which is also on their website. so I'm waiting for a month then I see the charges placed back on my account because the decision is still going so every billing cycle I got ta pay a minimum amount of money I never used from them in the first place. Then when it reached end of XXXX I finally received a call from a case manager saying unfortunately we can't honor the fraud done because the police station failed to give me a copy of a police report and that they seen a XXXX charge before so I told the guy the full story and he said we will have it under review again for me then two more months past and I get a call from them saying " we still can't honor the 100 % fraud protection '' that they promote. So, I asked can I just fax you guys a witness letter saying what went on during the time and he said that I can try but basically said it won't work. So DISCOVER has me stuck paying them money I don't have nor spent in the first place

Complaint: Discover Card refuses to refund me for fradulent charges from XXXX XXXX. The charges in XXXX estimate to be about {$1000.00} There are other fradulent charges to the account. I also remember several charges in XXXX. The charges total in an amount over {$700.00}. Moroever, they closed my account unlawfully, in XX/XX/XXXX, however, they sent me a regular statement during XX/XX/XXXX. I was also entitled to more unemployment benefits during the month of XXXX XXXX. They charged me {$70.00}, a month, while sick and unemployed. They refused to re- open my account.

Problem with fees
Complaint: I opened the Discover Credit Card in XX/XX/XXXX and have been using it until now. In XX/XX/XXXX, I realized that the bank has been charging me {$25.00} per month for payment protection fee since its opening. I was not informed about this service at all. I was not aware of this service at all until XX/XX/XXXX. So I called the credit card company and cancelled this service in XX/XX/XXXX.
On XX/XX/XXXX, I called and requested the credit card company to refund {$1700.00} that I already paid from the opening to XX/XX/XXXX. However, they said that they could only pay up to 6 months fees ( {$150.00} ).
It would be greatly appreciated your help on this matter.

Complaint: there was charged made to an account i applied for i never recieved the card and filed a police report EVEN though im NOT requeired under the FCBA and she rebilled my account all she had to check was where clean it supply was delievered and see not my address she made vile requests to go redue the police report which i didnt even have to file she violated my rights and rebilled me bc shes XXXX and im XXXX i need the XXXX to investigate her practices, my wallet was stolen at XXXX airport and used all over the place including my id and even traffic tickets where given under my name this is fraud and she is in vioaltion discover needs to be investagated iwas even out of state when this fraud happened coudlnt be 2 places at once included is my flight iterarty as proof

Complaint: I locked myself out of my apt called a locksmith who quoted $ 45-49. I am legally XXXX and count on honesty from workers. My neighbors saw the locksmith do the lockout and pop the lock. I gave him my discover credit card. Later in the day a person called me to ask what he charged. I thought this was strange. I said I assumed he charged what I was quoted over the phone. I asked a neighbor what the bill said it said {$170.00} for an installation service not marked lockout. I disputed this with Discover who ruled in favor of the locksmith. No matter of my evidence receipt or even cameras on the premises that showed exactly what was done. This was unethical and dishonest on Discovers part when they had proof in front of them of a definite and deliberate scam.
