Complaint: Your reply to the consumer affair has nothing to do with what I am referring to. In XXXX and XXXX fraudulent charges where made which followed to XXXX. You guys have charged me for that with interest. Whatever payments I was making was for fraudulent charges, on XXXX there were a lot of charges made on that month you charged me for. the money you said i owed for XXXX, I did not owe. You owe me money when those payments would be unsure of because of interest charges on the unclear amount.i did not owe XXXX because you didnt know what I owed for XXXX. I had fraudulent charges in which you agreed to in your investigation. you guys are focusing on the wrong stuff. Furthermore, I need a proper reinvestigation into this matter, because what you we has nothing to do with my dispute.

Complaint: Payment XX/XX/2018 of {$2000.00} paid to a law firm. Requested to have case put in a Jury trial court. after payment was made a agreement of {$500.00} to be paid monthly for a total of {$3500.00}. lawyer continued adjuring case until full amount was paid. lawyer never brought case to proper court house. After last payment was made lawyer relieved himself from case. Refused to bring case to a jury trial. Disputed with credit card company and they did not return funds after I requested a refund from lawyer. They state it is non refundable. open a investigation and they did not reverse it. Then I sent in a letter for a re investigation and they did not re investigate it at all. I had asked for proof and they refused.

Complaint: I have found that Discover has been charging me interest from 2 different time periods. Neither of these times is a Cash advance. They charge interest on the whole balance for XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX Then a different interest rate from XX/XX/XXXX again on the whole amount. Now during the first time period didn't I pay the interest that was due for that time, on the balance then? Why is it still being charged? They are able to collect past interest rates on today 's balance? How can I be charged interest from then on today 's money? Plus interest on today 's money as well? I have sent emails asking them to explain this but they did not respond at all.

Complaint: I closed my account with Discover Bank ( Card ) in XXXX, paying it in full and ensuring that this payment covered all finance charges. Later that month, I called back to ensure that my account was closed and there was a XXXX balance on my closed account. I then received a series of checks from Discover, two stating that I had overpaid. This is unacceptable due to the due diligence I showed in calling a SECOND time to ensure my account was in order. I deposited the first two checks. I later received notice that they had made a mistake and shouldn't have sent me the second of three checks and that I must pay that back immediately. I sent a written notice, refusing to pay them since I had paid off ALL money owed and checked back before the time the checks were mailed to ensure this was the case. That same week that my paper request for written confirmation of my closed account was in the mail to Discover Bank, they sent me a THIRD check to deposit with more money they supposedly owed me. I then called the company AGAIN and told them what was going on. The manager refused to clear the account and insisted I owed them the money even after the company is still sending me a checks. I have not deposited the third check due to the behavior of representatives of this company. I feel I am trapped in a scam. I asked for an email copy of all transactions they have a record of my billing and phone call transactions for my complaint for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other consumer advocacy groups. She refused to email it to me but said she would mail me a hard copy once the legal team preps it. That was on a Friday. I still had not received the promised correspondence by the following Friday but did receive another e-mail claiming I owed the money and must now pay a minimum, insinuating that this fraudulent charge now carries possible finance charges. I called the company again, speaking to another manager, who claimed that they can't mail me such documentation and the last manager never should have said she could. She read the notes from my last call and agreed to forward my information and request to speak to a " higher up '' from their legal team. She said they could not call me for 24 business hours, putting me into the second week waiting for this basic information. I am now submitting the complaints without it, while awaiting the supposed call from their legal team.

Complaint: On XXXX i had made a purchase for two stainless steel automatic watches. They were apparently custom watches of highest quality which were made to look like XXXX style watches. I had ordered them and paid {$1300.00} using my Discover credit card. I received a package from XXXX which either way only contained ONE watch and not two that i ordered so that issue number 1. With the watch i did receive, it was nothing like what was shown in the images and it was a cheap XXXX branded fake that i think anyone with any type of eye sight could see. I did NOT order a XXXX or replica watch. XXXX sided in my favor but for some reason did not refund my money, i forwarded this to Discover but they did not care. They also did not care about receiving only ONE of the TWO watches i ordered and still insist in charging me {$1300.00} and saying the charge is valid. The seller responded by saying he did not sell a counterfeit XXXX but a XXXX XXXX but if you search online ... a XXXX XXXX is a high quality counterfeit XXXX. I had reported the listing and seller which was removed and they banned the seller from XXXX YET discover still believes the charge was valid though i only receive one of the two watches i ordered and provided them pictures of the counterfeit product which i would say its illegal for them to say this counterfeit product is a valid charge. i offered to file a police report and they still did not care. They are saying i did NOT return the product but thats due to XXXX not asking me to return anything. PLUS it is illegal to use the united states postal service to mail counterfeit products especially overseas. i was not told by anyone to mail anything back nor did the seller request this single watch back. They said i received a empty box in the report when i clearly sent pictures of the single counterfeit XXXX replica i received. The seller is a liar from a foreign country that is clearly committing fraud and looks like Discover is encouraging it

Complaint: In dealing with Discover Student Loans, I have found it impossible to remove my parent/guardian as a cosigner from a small student loan (with more than 48 consecutive on-time payments). I have applied twice to get my parent/guardian removed as cosigner, and each time, Discover provided me with conflicting information about whether this person was removed or remained on the loan. Once I was told my parent/guardian was removed. Twice I was told that person remained on the loan. I have zero confidence in their cosigner review/release system. Questions specific to the review process inquire about age and career level, which I believe can be used to discriminate. I have a high income, low debt ratio. My credit score is considered excellent, and I have had a full-time job for with above average income for several years. Still, I cannot get a cosigner to be removed from a $XXXX undergraduate loan. I want CFPB to look into the process by which Discover Student Loans grants applicants the ability to remove a cosigner. I believe they are taking advantage of the system and denying requests outside their rules and guidelines. And I believe that they are discriminating against applicants on the basis of age.

Complaint: For the last 60 calendar days, Discover Bank has held my money hostage by blocking my phone number. This has prevented me from closing my account since Wire Transfers require voice verification by their policy. The reason for my number being blocked is a malicious and vindictive response from Discover Bank executives due to my filing of a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX for their customer service management team. I alerted the XXXX CFPB, and CFPB Ombudsman and none of them addressed the concern. The CFPB Ombudsman never even answered the phone since his service always goes to voice message. I am alerting you of this issue and I need immediate resolution so I may begin to transition my active accounts out of Discover Bank 's system this month and ensure no impact on my credit score, accounts payable, and accounts receivable ... since it is the malicious intent of Discover Bank executive office to harm all of these. Again, I alerted the XXXX, CFPB, and CFPB Ombudsman of all of these concerns and they allowed Discover Bank to issue canned responses with NO reference to the clearly stated complaint. I need you to interfere and instruct Discover Bank to allow me to transition my funds out by wire transfers within the next 2 months to ensure no impact on my credit score, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. I have no way to contact Discover Bank by phone which is the only way to wire transfer my funds.

Complaint: Between the years of XXXX and XXXX, I was attending XXXX school and obtained private student loans from Discover to help cover the costs of education. I have since graduated and pursued a XXXX XXXX degree, during which time I deferred my student loans. Now, I am pursuing a XXXX degree which I started late last year, right after my XXXX XXXX degree ended. Despite multiple requests, Discover keeps denying my request to defer my student loans, even while I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX. My current university, where I am pursuing my XXXX, is a world renowned university in XXXX, ranked much better globally than my XXXX, however, Discover denies it meets eligibility for deferment, stating that it will only accept deferments for students enrolled in accredited US based schools. The school is an officially accredited University by the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Note : All my federal loans were easily deferred. Discover being unwilling to defer my student loans could force me to drop out of this XXXX program or to fall below the poverty line, having difficulty paying for food and rent, or both.
