Complaint: I have a charge dispute with Discover thats going on 4 months now, for goods and services that were never received. A merchant charged {$6800.00} on XX/XX/XXXX for a siding job on my and my husband 's house. The merchant never delivered the goods or service, and after a year of excuses, the contract was cancelled, and I requested a refund. Through repeated attempts, I have been unable to contact the merchant since then. After failing to resolve this with the merchant, I opened a charge dispute with Discover. 4 months in dispute and this charge has not been settled. Ive provided extensive documentation of the merchants non-delivery and contract breach. Each time I speak to the dispute department, Im told additional information is needed, and I provide this information. However, on my XX/XX/XXXX phone call to the dispute department, I was again told Discover requires additional information, however this time I was told I cant tell you specifically what that information is. The agent also inquired as to why Discover should be responsible for refunding me this money. Discover claims this is still a valid charge, despite the fact that I never received the goods/services. As the charge is beyond 3 months, Discover no longer has the ability to chargeback the merchant, so the money would come from Discover itself. I believe this is why Discover continues to claim the charge as valid, because it would cost them money otherwise.

C.S. 5525 ( a ) ) As a practical matter, the Statute covers most types of debt, including credit cards, medical bills, personal loans, etc. '' The Statute applies to most private student loans ( not government or government-backed loans ) is the four-year Statute of Limitations applies to Private Student Loans. It has been expired a long time ago but post on my credit report recently. Also, they have post the wrong information incorrectly and it should be removed the incorrect information from my credit report.

Complaint: Respected Sir/ Madam, I am exploring the possibilities for financing my daughter 's XXXX education with private loan from bank. I am in the XXXX on XXXX visa. My daughter is on XXXX dependent visa. As a result, she is considered as international student. I am waiting in the Green Card ( Permanent Residency ) line for last several years. I checked with Discover, XXXX XXXX websites. While they allow international students to apply for loan, they need cosigners who are either US citizens or Permanent Residents. I feel that this is unfair. I had been given mortgage and car loans in the past which I closed successfully. I have good financial history. I think I should be allowed to remain cosigner on the student loan. I would be much obliged if you could look into it. Thanking you in advance. Best Regards

They sent me emails to the effect that I had paid and then I would call back and try to pay and they would keep take my information and run it as an e check. My bank does not take e checks. They kept telling me that they were putting it in correct and they didn't. Although I tried to pay they kept running it incorrectly. They the. Reported that i was not paying on my credit card dispite the fact I kept trying to pay them. My report reflects like I was not paying, but they were not running my card correctly.

Complaint: Incorrectly charged by vendor on XX/XX/18, submitted dispute to Discover on XX/XX/18, no reply for weeks, submit follow-up message to Discover XX/XX/18, finally receive reply XX/XX/18 stating investigation initiated. Charge reposted by Discover to my card apparently on XX/XX/18, I notice and message on XX/XX/18 requesting details. Apparently charge was upheld by vendor, so I assume the complete details not passed on to vendor. On XX/XX/18, Discover replies and informs me vendor upheld, but they will continue dispute. Repost of provisional credit was once again not applied until XX/XX/18. Apparently vendor upheld a second time ( despite vendor themselves investigating and admitting equipment malfunctioned and their accounting dept tells me to dispute the charge ) at which point Discover reposts twice on XX/XX/18, and they state it's because my credit card number changed mid-dispute. I explain they already reposted to the old card on XX/XX/18, and I can clearly see four debits and two credits on my account, resulting in me paying for the vendor 's charge and also paying Discover for it as well. Dispute escalation manager replied and indicated I must be confused because some were on my old card number and some on my new. I message a couple times to explain she is not accounting for all transactions in her summary of debits and credits, and they repeatedly argued, even though there is clear evidence in my transaction history. It is poor customer service to take weeks to reply to messages when it's stated at the bottom of the screen the customer can expect a reply within 24 hours. But it's absolutely inexcusable for the disputes department to manually adjust an account and not take seriously a customer 's complaint despite evidence to the contrary. They eventually credited back twice, which resulted in eight total debits and credits. They never explained why they credited twice, if the vendor eventually validated my dispute or if Discover credited due to my complaint. However, my balance does not reflect that as it should be a net XXXX. Once the credits were posted on XX/XX/18, it should have resulted in a wash. I will attach documentation to that effect.

Complaint: I was approved for a Discover Card at the end of XX/XX/2018 with the promo of 14 months at 0 % interest. I just so happened to check my most recent statements and noticed I was charged interest. I was charged {$17.00} in XX/XX/XXXX's statement and {$21.00} in XX/XX/XXXX 's statement. Perplexed, I contacted Discover 's customer service, thinking this was an error. The customer service agent looked into the matter and informed me they did not see the promo on my account. At which point he transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor, too, looked into the matter and informed me that I was not eligible for the 14 month promo as this was based on credit worthiness. At this point I was shocked, I have never before been approved for a credit card that offered an introductory 0 % interested and then been told, yes I got the card but not the 0 % interested because my credit was not good enough. I found this to be very underhanded and deceitful. At this point I looked at Discovers site and they were still offering the same promotion. I read the fine print and there was nowhere in the online disclosures that stated the 14 month 0 % promo was based on credit worthiness. Obviously, when applying for the card these are the only disclosure you are privy to at that time. It does state in the only disclosures that after the 14 months is over and APR kicks in, that is based on credit worthiness, which is expected. After reading the information on the site, I called back and asked to speak to the manager above the supervisors. I was contacted a little less than 24hrs later. At which point she offered to refund the most recent interest charge of {$21.00} and 12 months interest free. I accepted the refund of {$21.00}. However, I would like to have my 14 months interest free. That is what the offer stated, and that I what I am due. I would also like to have the {$17.00} interest refunded as well. My balance is currently at XXXX, I have not had any missed payments, nor have I exceeded my balance. I have been a model card holder since receiving my card. I carried a balance XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, but have since brought the balance back to XXXX. The fact that I was told information that based on their website disclosures was incorrect, is completely unacceptable and deceitful. I am really taken aback and quite frankly feel that XX/XX/XXXX is not a good company to bank or do business with and I wont be recommending to any friends or family.

Complaint: I have requested to do balance transfer of XXXX dollars on XX/XX/2018 with my discover credit card, that will transfer to my XXXX Savings account. They did a transfer within a week and status got changed to fund sent where it was mentioned that usually 5 to 7days, XXXX account will receive the amount. But, even after 7 days, it dint get deposited to XXXX account. I have called discover on XX/XX/XXXX and they confirmed that i have to wait until XX/XX/XXXX and if i dont receive on XX/XX/XXXX, then, i can call again discover to raise the complaint. since, amount dint get deposited in my XXXX savings account, i have called discover again and asked them about the status, they said about starting investigation and next week they can reach about updates. today, XX/XX/XXXX th called them again, they said it may take upto 45days to find where the issue is and why this amount dint get deposited in my bcu account. Problem is, i did a transfer from discover to XXXX, discover dint have any tracking record about cash check they sent.i dont have any idea now where the money is. due to this, my load got rejected, was in a kind emergency situation that i could not resolve and facing lot of issues.

Complaint: Ive tried several times contacting all 3 credit bureaus to get hard inquiries removed from my credit report to no avail. Each bureau told me that they can not remove any inquiry, and that Id need to contact the creditors myself to get them removed. When I contacted these creditors, they also told me that they can not remove them, and that Id need to contact the bureaus to get them removed. Both sides are giving me the run around. I do not and have not owned any lines of credit with the creditors in which these inquiries come from. There are a total of four inquires from Discover, XXXX/XXXX ( XXXX ), XXXX, and XXXX.

Their response was not helpful, made no attempt to pay me back, did not settle the issue at all, but you guys closed the case. You are completely useless. You are likely in bed with the defendants ( the bank ). Shame on you for not doing your jobs and advocating for the banks instead of the clients.

Complaint: XX/XX/2018 I paid off my car loan. On XX/XX/XXXX, I created an account with XXXX XXXX to verify that it was showing paid in full. At that time I discovered that I had 3 accounts that I was unaware of on my credit report. Those accounts were : Discover Card XXXX account # XXXX, XXXX XXXX # XXXX and XXXX # XXXX. At that time I contacted an Attorney via my XXXX XXXX to discuss the matter. He instructed me to report this to the Federal Trade Commission which is Federal Law Enforcement, to request my credit reports via the credit bureaus and to file a complaint with the CFPB. I made the Identity theft report via FTC and the report # is XXXX. In addition, I received my XXXX report in the mail yesterday. I am very confused as my credit report is showing that the above mentioned accounts were opened over a Year ago and in 2 of the cases it appears that payments were made at some point. I have never applied for a Discover Card, or XXXX XXXX nor given anyone permission to apply for one on my behalf. I was an authorized user previously. I have never applied for a loan with XXXX. I have not had a need for a loan in that I make a very comfortable salary and have limited debt.
