Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: I purchased a hot tub from XXXX XXXX on their web site. On XX/XX/2018, I was charged {$2800.00} for the hot tub. On XX/XX/2018, I was charged again for the same amount of {$2800.00}. These charges were billed to my Discover card. I called Discover right away when I learned of this duplicate charge and they opened up a dispute case. They eventually closed the case in XXXX XXXX favor leaving me stuck with a double charge to my discover account. Since then I have reopened this dispute several times with the same outcome. Everyone I have spoke with at Discover customer service agrees that this is obviously a duplicate charge yet this remains unresolved almost a year later. Every bit of documentation proves the case in my favor and yet they still determine the charges to be valid. The documentation provided clearly states that I purchased and received 1 hot tub. My billing statement clearly shows I was billed twice for 1 product. I do not understand why they don't get it. Discover even said that the two charges both have the same unique transaction number that is attached to purchases. This case should have been resolved 10 months ago in my favor on that bit of information alone.

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: Called Discover to dispute chargers under XXXX XXXX XXXX around in XX/XX/XXXX after trying to resolve issue with the company. Discover gave me the credit, but retracted back. I provided enough information to Discover, and clearly stated that those charges where not allowed. Company was really fishy, not returning calls, which phone number was only one, and it was the only way to get a hold of anyone. Discover postponed the evaluation, and finally declined my disputes after knowing that company closed on XX/XX/XXXX. Company/Seller never replied to Discover. I submitted proof of attempted getting something in writing, but how will the company reply when the company was planning to close and steal my money without me knowing. The companys phone number was only one, never return calls, and when i finally get the email, no reply whatsoever. Discover is saying that the charges are valid because the company/seller didnt confirm cancelation. The last call i made was on XX/XX/XXXX, and customer service/dispute told me she couldnt do anything. When i asked to speak with someone else, she did not direct me to anyone. I provided enough proof and clearly stated that the company was scamming me. Now Discover is making pay {$1700.00} when the company/seller was a complete scam, and Discover only excuse is that the company didnt reply. Please help.

Trouble with how payments are being handled
Complaint: I paid my loan bill which should have covered six months but then the loan services changed to a different handler and suddenly I was told I was behind. I then paid over 1200 dollars so I was ahead two more months. Suddenly I and my co-signer receiver received a note that within 30 days I would be in default for non payment. When I called Discover they told me they did not get my payment I immediately sent copy of the bill pay and proof it came out of my account. Then I received the following email below. ( 1 ) I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and was told they still could not find my payment. They asked for my bank statment and that I had to pay XXXX that evening or I would be in default. So despite my large payment and proof I had to pay even more. And I sent statement. I then got a second email today still not agreeing that I made a payment. And had to send more proof. I am turkey worried it will never be resolved.

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: Discover Card ( credit card company ) sent me a letter indicating that they were lowering my line of credit. This was based on a review of a credit report provided to them by XXXX. My credit FICO score with other agencies and credit card companies is quit high - plus XXXX and is currently at XXXX as reported by XXXX as of XX/XX/XXXX.
Discover Card listed my FICO score as XXXX and included " multiple delinquencies '' as a reason of lowering my line of credit with them. I have not missed a payment with Discover or any other CC company since XX/XX/XXXX!! I have requested that Discover PLEASE review this matter and consider re-establishing my credit to the previous status.
I have spoken and communicated via email with representatives at Discover.
A few have admit that there seems to be no reasoning behind the decrease in my credit line. They also can not see where a FICO score of XXXX was ever provided to them from XXXX exist, but do see it was included in the notification letter that was sent. I also checked my report directly with XXXX XXXX - there FICO score was well above a delinquent XXXX score.
I am just looking for some help to limit the damage that an erroneous credit line decrease can create. I've worked hard to establish a good and positive credit standing.
I'm not sure why Discover is unwilling to work with me to resolve this matter. I'm asking you there for some assistance.
Thank you for any help you can provide me in this matter, Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX

Complaint: Called Discover and spoke to a business credit specialist that informed me that when my applying for a business credit card account that my personal credit report would not be pulled. After applying and being declined, my personal credit report has an inquiry that otherwise, I would not have applied for. Was told that I was declined due to, 'too many revolving accounts with high balances ''. I was just approved for a Discover IT personal credit card account less than three weeks ago. Why wasn't this an issue at that time?

Account information incorrect
Complaint: I have already filed one complaint against Discover Student Loans, but this warrants another one. First I have tried to work with Discover Student Loans since XX/XX/2018. I had send multiple payments to them for the two student loans that we had with them and the money was not credited. It took until XX/XX/2018 to locate the money that had the wrong account number on. In XX/XX/XXXX they had been provided with documentation from my bank of proof of payment and yet, they were not able to locate it until I filed my first complaint here. They then located the money and place it on the only open account that we had with them that was being refinanced. Only part of the payments sent were for the one remaining open account, the other money that had been sent was for the already closed account. I had sent numerous emails, faxes and made way to many phone calls regarding this matter. I had specifically stated that the money be returned to me once recovered as the loans were paid off. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter of proof of payment and payoff of Loan XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a proof of payment and payoff letter for Loan XXXX. NFCU refinanced loan XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX with the payoff amount provided by Discover Student Loans. Today I received an email stating that I owe approximately XXXX on a loan that I have received a payoff notice for. They obviously have severe issues with their accounting department on how and when payments are made. I can't have documentation that states my balance is XXXX and have payoff letters saying Congratulations your loan is paid and then owe money. On top of all of this, they have posted incorrectly on my son and my credit report, which I have tried to get repaired as well. I have a 30,60 and 90 day late listed on my credit history, when in fact we have paid on time. I have sent supporting documentation from our statements and statements provided by Discover Student loans that we have paid on time. I have never received a 30, 60 or 90 day late notice from Discover Student Loans and have never received a late fee. I have contacted all three credit bureaus back in XX/XX/2018 due to this error, because it messed up us trying to get the final loan refinance. I have also submitted documentation to Discover to fix this error, but that hasn't been done either. I don't expect them to fix anything since they can't even maintain proper accounting for their loans. I want my son 's and my credit history fixed. I have no late credit on anything for the past 30 years, yet all of a sudden it's with XXXX who can't get their act together. Something should be done about the time it takes them to handle problems with their loans that they have created and how they report to the credit bureaus wrong information.

Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Complaint: I was delinquent when I was contacted by Discover in XX/XX/XXXX. I set up a payment plan with the understanding that this would bring my account current. I've made my payments as required since that date. I logged into my free FICO score in XX/XX/XXXX and was surprised to see I've been reported to the credit bureaus as delinquent every month since I entered the plan. I called Discover and asked them to explain and they said well you were still delinquent. I asked them if this was explicitly disclosed to me when I entered the plan they said no. They explained how the payments would work again but said they don't explicitly say we're going to keep reporting you to the credit agencies. I feel this is a deceptive and abusive collection practice. If I had known I would be reported to the credit agencies I would have found a way to bring myself current instead of enrolling in a program I thought was doing the same thing.
