Complaint: A criminal in Massachusetts called Discover and requested a card in our name and number on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Discover asked them questions which answers could be found on our driver 's license. They did not use security question answers which I assumed they would. They received a card on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and began charging at XXXX in XXXX, MA ( the first charge which was {$210.00} ). Then charged another XXXX charges at different times at XXXX each over {$200.00}. They also went to a few fast food places and a XXXX in XXXX, MA ( both charges over {$200.00} ). We found out about this when my husband tried to use his Discover card on Saturday, XXXX XXXX, XXXX and it was declined. He told me when he got home and I immediately called Discover Card Services. They said that they had sent out a card to a person claiming to be my husband, XXXX XXXX, in Massachusetts. I asked why they did not call me or email me to verify the request. They said that they had tried " several times ''. I never received a call or email. I told them that I had not received a call or email. I have credit card protection with them which I pay for annually. Some protection. Can you help us? This same scenario happening to us XX/XX/XXXX with our XXXX XXXX. They gave us the same response of having called and emailed several times. I never received an email or call. The charges also originated from Massachusetts. Something is occurring at these credit card companies that, in my opinion, appears to be internal.

Complaint: Discover Card ( Has denied Receiving Credit Card Payments so they can raise zero Percent interest Rates ) and ( Never Mails billing statements on time so they can raise zero percent interest Rates ) Discover Card has frequently forgot to mail my Statements. The Statements never were mailed. As a result they Dropped my zero Percent interest Rate and Raised it several Times.. The Discover Card Company also denied they Received my billing Payments so they could raise 0 % interest rate. It is unusually that all other Credit Card Companies received my Payments but Discover Card has a higher Rate of Lost Mail ....

Complaint: I applied for a in school deferment a couple of months ago. I called to check the status of the difirment because it was time for a payment and I have automatic draft. The rep. Stated the difirment was on the account and all the information was in that was needed. She told me that she would cancel any future automatic drafts this was in XXXX. On XXXX XXXX another payment was taken out. That Friday I called and spoke with another rep who said she wold cancel the automatic draft and have someone call me back to refund my money and that someone from that department would call me Monday or Tuesday. Today by XXXX I did not receive any calls so I called once again because I was not able to make payments on another bill because this money had been taken out. The rep today explained the automatic payment was not canceled again and tha the difirment has not been accepted. I was very upset and needed to calm down and did not want to take it out on the rep on the phone. She gave me a number to call a supervisor.

I called to arrange pick up of the merchandise XXXX 2016. Store owner told me items had been resold and were no longer in inventory. I contacted Discover Card with that information to obtain my refund as store owner was not cooperative. Discover Card was not cooperative. A store owner can not collect XXXX for the same items. Florida Statute XXXX CH XXXX requires notice certified signed mail to alter ownership.

Complaint: Complaint number:XXXX, addition to complaint when talking to the discover card representative I asked her what was discover cards late fees and she could not tell me. She had to stop and try to calculate the amount they charged me on my account. This is very disturbing because on all my other bills including other credit card bills the late fees are the same every month. They do n't change based on who you are, or how much you make. If this is the case discover card can do what their doing now and charge me what ever they want that month. The XXXX to XXXX unwanted phone calls a day are also annoying, even after paying my bill for that month they still aggressively call my house and parents house trying to get me to pay them more money for that month and nothing going to the {$7500.00} balance that I have with them.

Complaint: I have a Discover It credit card. I made a payment on XXXX XXXX, 2016. Payments in the past had posted the following day. However, this time the payment was held for more than ten days. No reason was given for funds being held. I called and spoke to a representative who informed me that she did not know the reasons but other departments had access to this information. My concern is the abuse of power. My account has not shown any signs of " fraud '' or related situations that merits " stringent screenings ''. Besides, this is nothing new, XX/XX/XXXX a rental car refund was held up for more than fifteen days. I looked over my credit card terms and conditions and I did not find any information in regards to " delaying credit for payments and/or refunds ''. To my understanding this is the difference between a debit card and a credit card. In addition, a secure fund has been established in my name to serve as a collateral. I believe this agency is using negative information, obtained from other sources, to make decisions that affect my financial status. If they choose to do so, I need to be informed in order for the power to be balanced. I am able to make informed decisions about the " conditions '' planned for my account. Lastly, the credit report is not showing any credit available, which in turn shows that my account is currently overdrawn by {$17.00}, which is incorrect. I certainly feel overpowered and ostracized by this situations and I hope that someone can take a deeper look at what these financial companies are doing with consumers financial wellbeing.
