Complaint: I contacted Discover on XX/XX/XXXX about an issue that I am having with XXXX XXXX. XXXX added a chargeback charge to my account that I need more information on. XXXX claims that they refunded my Discover account for a charge in XX/XX/XXXX. However, I believe that this was reversed and I did pay that amount from that transaction. I need proof from Discover that either backs up that XXXX applied the credit to my account or documentation that states that they never provided a credit to my account. I informed Discover that I need this information in writing. Discover was unwilling to handle this issue in writing. I gave them my emails, I used the Discover Secure Message Center, and they also have my physical address to send written corespondents. Discover is unwilling to handle this issue in writing, but it is essential that it is handled in writing so that there is documentation that I can use if to convey the finding to XXXX. Please answer the questions. Thanks.

Complaint: Add to Case No. : XXXX I finally was able to speak with XXXX XXXX @ Discovercard, Senior Associate, Executive Office of Customer Advocacy today and with no further resolution. He has no way of providing me with proof of my consent for the Payment Protection Fees which he shows was added to my account on XX/XX/XXXX. Their policy is to refund the last 6 months of fees charged to me, which has been done. XXXX XXXX has access and will be mailing me my statements from XX/XX/XXXX ( the earliest he has access to ). He does n't know how much I have paid in fees, but by my calculation, this is over $ 10k just in fees that I never consented to. Right now, I am getting no where, other than to contact an attorney, but an attorney would probably cost more that the fees I already paid. I was researching again on the best course of action and see that there was a Class Action Lawsuit against Discovercard back in 4th Quarter XX/XX/XXXX. Why was n't I notified of this lawsuit? How did one get notified? I reviewed the links and the last to be added to this lawsuit was 1Q XX/XX/XXXX. I am so frustrated. CFPB already took action against Discover, but I was not part of the notification process. I 've lived at my address since XX/XX/XXXX and have had forwarding orders when I had a XXXX XXXX while working in downtown XXXX XXXX, so I should have been included. My debt with this card would be zero if not for these " Payment Protection Fees ''. At this point, I really do n't know what to do. I called your number to ask for further assistance and was notified to seek an attorney. When I research that, I find there was already this lawsuit that would have taken care of these arbitrary fees.

Complaint: Credit limit was first increased then they decreased it. No payments were missed and have never been late in all the years and never been over the credit card limit since doing business with them. Telephoned creditor to inquire why credit limit was decreased. They advised they needed to decrease it due to ability to repay. Advised them this made no sense as I have never been late or over the limit with them. Later they pushed to try and have me setup an automatic payment with them. I refused to do so as I stated that I have never been late or over the credit limit with my account. Since Discover card reduced my credit limit my credit score was negatively affected and decreased my credit score. This has had a domino affect now with my other creditors who have subsequently reduced my credit limits which has further reduced my credit scores. Again I have never been late or over the credit limit with Discover or XXXX. Because of Discover it has adversely affected my credit scores and credit limits with other creditors due to no fault of my own.

I filed an Identity Theft Police Report, submitted it to them and to the Credit Bureaus but Discover still does not want to remove this from my Credit Histories. Please help

Complaint: I, an XXXX XXXX, cardmember with Discover Card. I just discovered that the interest on my Discover card was very high. I had noticed this awhile back but, did not have the time to check into why it was so high. I contacted DiscoverXX/XX/XXXX to discuss several issues, and the one I could not get a good answer for was being charged two interest rates since XXXX. I discovered that I have be charged since XXXX, and extra interest rate for missing a payment. I when I stated I have not missed a payment, I was then told it could be charged for a late payment. I have had s few late payments, however I have not missed a payment. This situation upsets me because I was not notified that this had happened at a time that I could have disputed it sooner. Also, how do I know as a consumer that the person that put this on my account was not having a bad day and decided to take it out on me. I should have been notified that this was happening so that I could dispute it right away.. At, the present time, no one seems to be able to tell me what or who decided this so that I could speak to them to correct it. No one should be able to add charges to your account without you knowledge, I have been spending a lot on interest and was not aware of it.

Complaint: I purchased tires from XXXX and also purchased the installation package ( to be completed by their technicians ) and road hazard with my Discover card. The next day on the way to my cabin I encountered turbulent handling and loud road noise. I took the vehichle to the local mechanic who said the tires had been inproperly installed and 2 had not even been weighted ... VERY dangerous. I spent a week going back and forth with XXXX and the very rude Manager at the location who advised me to " bring it back in '' obviously I could n't since it was over 200 miles away ... I had the shop make the corrections and rebalancing which I paid for with my Discover card also. I contact Discover to file the dispute and they have been unprofessional, unresponsive and yesterday forwarded me a notice saying the charge was valid and attached a reciept from XXXX with my signature ... DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The issue IS NOT my card was used fraudulently, it is that the services I received were unsatisfactory and quite frankly life endangering. Discover did not handle this properly and I will not pay this charge.

Complaint: Today, XXXX XXXX, 2017 I visited the Discover Card site to redeem the Cashback Awards. The site clearly states " These rewards are yours to use ANY time you want, whatever amount you want. Apply your Cashback Bonus to your bill OR deposit to your bank account. ". I had over {$450.00} and beside that amount ere the words- " REEDEEM ALL ''. You had to enter the amount and had two choices- one was to apply as a credit to your bill or two was to deposit to your bank account. I chose all and to deposit. Then a note popped up stating that I needed an account " linked '' to the card and to call XXXX ... I did. I was then told that I could NOT " redeem all '' - the limit was {$300.00} and that they did not know why I was not allowed to select the bank account they had on file. Now mind you, I HAD done this before a few years ago. Also- I do have 4 bank accounts linked to this credit card from which I have in the past paid through their site- infrequently. I asked to speak to a supervisor who could not explain away the discrepancy between WHAT their site CLEARLY stated and WHAT I actually could do. She gave me some spin about " security '' ... When I asked specifically about any issues with MY account- she told me she could NOT say anything due to security reasons ( I assumed she was talking about DISCOVER security ). I understand that I have a " contract '' with Discover to use their card. I pay my bill every month completely. I am not late as the amount owed is not due until XX/XX/XXXX. I have used all 4 of the bank accounts to pay portions of this card at various times- both through their specific site AND through my bank billpay sites. I believe that it is fraudulent for Discover to clearly state what I stated above, BUT NOT allow it to be done and then can give NO reason WHY it can not be accomplished.

Complaint: I have contacted Discover Financial Services and Student Loan Corporation about inaccurate information reported on my credit report. Monthly they have reported that my account is in bankruptcy, with a {$0.00} balance, and derogatory. Also this is completely inaccurate information as I have a balance that I pay monthly on time. This has caused my credit report to drop 7 points. Each time this inaccurate information has been reported, I have called and spoke on the phone several hours with specialists about their reporting errors. They claim they have done everything to resolve this issue and refuse to provide me anything in writing pertaining to their actions.

Complaint: Creditors ordered a judgement on me, and I have not even received from this creditor that they were put a lawsuit against me. I found out when I noticed I have no money in both my checking and savings. The monetary amounts in my checking and savings are from unemployment benefits, which is exempt. I have proof of the dates and amounts of how my benefits. I exhausted my benefits at the end of XXXX, so for XXXX weeks, I had no income coming in. As rough as this economy is, I barely found a job 5 days ago. After my XXXX day of employment ( which I have not been paid yet since I just started working there XXXX The creditors took all my checking and savings. I have no idea who they are and how much I owe, if I did I would have made an instalment plan with them. I want to file a complaint with them. They have taken out unemployment benefits from my checking and savings. They did not inform me of a lawsuit being made against me.

Complaint: I filed for bankruptcy in XX/XX/XXXX and student loans ( both private and federal ) were included in the bankruptcy ( although I knew they likely would n't be discharged ). Online accounts with all lenders were suspended. In XX/XX/XXXX, when the bankruptcy was finalized, the federal lender restored online access immediately, but private lenderwith whom I had two loans ( no. XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX University and no. XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX University ) did not. In XXXX or XXXX, I called the lender ( spoke to XXXX ) to inquire about online access. XXXX informed me XXXX XXXX was discharged in bankruptcy. At that time, I paid what was owed on loan XXXX up to that date ( $ 300+ ), and set up automatic payments for the future. Online access, however, has not been restored. When I again inquired on XX/XX/XXXX ( spoke to XXXX and XXXX again ) about the statements/online access, they said the bankruptcy is not yet settled ( it is ) and that they 're challenging it ( they 're not, they have n't filed anything with the court ). XXXX also said that Loan XXXX was considered in default and asked for full payment at that time. When I spoke to my lawyer, he told me they can not be soliciting payment on a debt that was discharged in bankruptcy. But that 's another issue. ) Since I have no access to statements or to my accounts, I can not see what is happening with my loan, which is really frustrating. I 'm unable to see where my payments are going, what my balance is, or anything. I 've attached a screenshot of what I see when I go onlineyou can see there 's no way for me to access existing loans. I 've also attached the BK Court Order discharging the debt.
