Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: Hi my name is XXXX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, 2017 I did purchase 5 items from bonton.com website ( The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I have never receive email from them about order delivery. Couple of days after I did called them to receive some information about my order. They told me that my order was delivered. I was wondered because I never receive anything from them. During that call they did not try to resolve my problem and advise me to dispute charges with my bank. I did like they said and dispute the charges {$450.00} with my bank ( Discover Bank ) that I paid to XXXX. Bank opened two cases and. First case number is XXXX for {$200.00} and second case number is XXXX for {$240.00}. After some time they told me that XXXX provided delivery proofs. I explained that delivery printout is not a proof that I did receive my items, because proper delivery proof will be that me or somebody in my household will sign and took the package. Bank submit my dispute again. I did request from Discover the proofs that was provided by XXXX. They did not send me anything. I did called them again and requested proofs again. After second request I did receive mail from Discover dated XXXX XXXX, 2017 that they closing my dispute because XXXX provided same delivery printouts. I called Discover by explaining again what is proof and what is not. During that calls they told me that XXXX deliver the order after that I did figure it out that XXXX gave package to USPS. I did called USPS to know where is my order. USPS opened a case by number XXXX. In XXXX XXXX, 2017 I did receive official email from USPS ( Sender was XXXX XXXX ) with their apologies for their bad service ( they left my package in unsecured place ). The building does not have cameras and front door it is open building and everybody can access. I did send that USPS official email by Fax to Discover on XXXX XXXX, 2017, because they told me that they will reopen my dispute if I will provide additional materials about the claim. Email from USPS was a big proof of that I did not receive my order. They ignored my proof saying that it will not help and because XXXX is a bigger client for them than I, they will return my credit to XXXX. After that I called XXXX and did provide that USPS email to them and asked that one of their supervisors contact me with a phone, but nobody contact me. After couple days I did called them again they assure me that there is no way to transfer my call to a supervisor and one of their supervisors will call me. Nothing. Seven days ago I did found email from XXXX in my Spam folder. I saw that somebody from XXXX by name XXXX Friday wrote me an email with their tactics ignoring their fault of my lose. I had nothing to do that to file a claim with CFPB because I spent a lot of my time and health by trying to return my lose and did everything like they told me.

Difficulty submitting a dispute or getting information about a dispute over the phone
Complaint: Recently I have discovered some discrepancies with my Credit Score reporting by XXXX to my XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card. I 've been working on this issue, and XXXX mailed my corrected report and score to me just a couple of weeks ago. At this point I checked on two of my credit cards Discover & XXXX which use XXXX service ( run by XXXX ) to provide their customers with access to their credit scores. According to XXXX, they get their info from XXXX, but the score they show is completely different from what was sent to me by XXXX, as well as two loans incorrectly reported by XXXX as Personal Loans are actually Parent-Plus Student Loans as correctly shown by XXXX ( see attached ). I have contacted XXXX and Discover card about these issues via messaging on their Web Site, but as you can see from their answer ( see attached ) they dont even bother to read their customers messages. XXXX just sent an email to me with a statement " No changes to your credit report '' ( see attached ), which means XXXX did n't even bother to check my info against what XXXX shows ... I am not aware of any other way of contacting these people, and mistakes like these can cost me a lot of money. Please help me convince XXXX associates to do their jobs as well as Discover and XXXX take seriously their responsibility to their customers. I find it highly disturbing knowing that my financial well-being is in the hands of somebody who cares so little they dont bother to even read my 3-sentences message. Something really should be done about it.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: first let me say i need all copies of complaints i made about discover card. i dont even read their responses. since they have gotten away with behavior that SHOULD be regulated but is not which is how i know you will continue to do nothing about my complaints. they closed my accounts which i had not used and i will not make any payments as a result of not getting help to which i was duly entitled. I have never seen a bank get away with the bullying, the discrimination they did and how difficult they have been that it would escalate to where its headded.. court. In a world where a good customer who calls and has a good payment history should be valued it is not with discover card. they bully disciminate and then when i made a complaint and asked for things to be done anyone else would have done in good will they closed the accounts. but no bank i repeat as ever lied, discriminated like they do and they think they can report me to credit when i dont pay since i got no help, when requested, was discriminated against etc. we will see. i will take needed steps to protect myself.

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: I apply for XXXX credit card, because it was said that I can do a balance transfer at 0.00 % and no transfer fee. When I call the XXXX after had received the card they told me that I will be having a fee of 3 % for balance transfer. I feel that was a shame that gave me the illusion to same my problem and be able to reduce my high interest in the other credit card that I already have. I will like to pay off my credit card and start fresh. I thought that if I will transfer to XXXX maybe in one year o so I will be able to pay off my credit card.

Complaint: My name was attached to a business credit card account I had with Discover Bank a few years ago. Unfortunately, the business failed, and we were forced to file a Chapter XXXX bankruptcy back in 2015. This Discover account was included in that bankruptcy, however the bank continues to report this as an unresolved debt on my personal credit report. I have disputed this account several times with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX, but Discover will not allow the account to be updated properly. I have also contacted XXXX XXXX directly on numerous occasions to correct this matter, but Discover just keeps telling me to " call back later. There is nothing they can do about it right now. ''

Complaint: In XXXX my card was stolen and used for over {$1000.00}. I called within 2 days of the first charges. Discover assured me it 's 0 % liability and I have nothing to worry about. Later I was asked to get a police report and went online to file it, I gave the temporary report but it was n't good enough and they determined no fraud involved. I asked to appeal. Advised to get another police report, which I did. I called it in. Everything was assured to be covered under Discovers 0 liability. I received a new letter X/X/17 stating since nothing new was submitted case was closed again. This was incorrect because I submitted a new police report. In addition to the customer service notes showing I called to cancel and replace the stolen card in XXXX. Help me please

Problem with cash advances
Complaint: Discover card services has repeatedly given me incorrect and misleading information. Through their online messaging service which I have copies of and also when I called to speak with a customer service representative. I was told 3 different times there was no fee to take a cash advance from my card. Only a higher interest rate of 24.99 %. After I finally made a cash advance for {$2500.00}, I noticed I was charged {$120.00} or 5 % of the amount. I explained to them I was n't advised of this fee and I would like it reversed. i also explained that had I know of this fee, I would not have taken the cash advance. They just keep telling me it 's in your card member agreement which I received years ago. They fail to be responsible for their poorly trained representatives who are giving out false and misleading information. They also told me in writing on their messaging service that my cash advance limit is 21 % of my total credit line and if my line increases, my cash advance amount will increase. This is not the case, because they increased my line to {$14000.00} and my cash advance limit is still {$2500.00}. Now they are saying it is 17 % of your credit limit. That is also incorrect. The cash advance limit on my account is {$2500.00} no matter what my credit limit its.

Complaint: I logged into Discover Student Loans XXXX on X/X/2017. I noticed in the top right hand corner there was a message waiting for me. I rarely log into Discover Student Loans because I pay them the same amount each month as I have for the past several years. For the second time since XXXX 2017, there was a notification that my interest rate had increased. In XXXX my rate increased from 3.75 % to 4 % and then in XXXX they increased it to 4.25 %. I was not given a written notice, or any correspondence regarding this increase. I check my credit score regularly and it has continued to increase so it can not be related to that. Also, I have already paid over {$13000.00} above the principal balance over a period of 11 years and I still owe them over {$5000.00} dollars.

Complaint: I have been a Discover credit card customer for several months. I am currently serving in the XXXX and am stationed in XXXX. Recently there have been many fraudulent charges on my credit card that have raised concern. I have notified Discover several times of the transactions and they have filed disputes on my behalf. While in XXXX, they sent out a new card to the address on file, that I do not live anymore, and has created a problem because somehow there become more fraudulent transactions. As a service member and as an american overseas, I do not have the luxury of being able to call Discover and be on hold for a long time or explain the situation to them completely because my carrier will charge me dollars per minute. One day in XXXX I had enough when I logged into my account and saw it was over the limit and I called not caring about the phone charge. I notified them that i was not in america and they should freeze my account. They then stated that my account is on hold and they would need to call my cellular phone to verify it was me first. Discover has allowed my account to be fraudulently used over and over again even though I have followed the FCRA rules to report on time and have done my best. Discover has now closed my account and has stated that it is due to fraud they feel that I present a risk to do business with, just because I am a service member in the XXXX serving overseas. My current balance is an outstanding {$4900.00} which is extremely ridiculous because my credit card with them is a simple {$300.00} secured credit card, meaning my balance should never go beyond the {$300.00} that i deposited in the first place.

Complaint: An account was opened in my name fraudulently. I was contacted and informed that because I did n't know who open the account, I had to pay the account regardless of it being fraudulent. Otherwise It will ruined my credit. Out of concern I paid the card. The person who open the account in my name confessed, I filled a police report and informed the credit card company. I also provided them with the police report. They stated that because I paid it, they can not do anything about it. I want the information off my credit report as I did not apply for the account.
