Complaint: Coinbase is a huge scam. I have provided all my documents they request to withdraw my funds and still I am not able to do so. Their system to verify the identity is a simple questionaree that never works. I have been tried to withdraw my money for 5 days now and still not able to. I have contacted their support three times as of today ( XX/XX/2018 ) and still just receive automated responses.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I deposited {$500.00} ( Transfer ID : XXXX ) to my account on XXXX, a cryptocurrency exchange owned by Coinbase , Inc., via an ACH bank transfer. Funds were withdrawn from my bank account by XX/XX/XXXX. According to the support page on XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) " Bank Account deposits made to XXXX are sent via the ACH bank transfer system, which typically takes 3-5 business days ( which can be as many as 7-10 calendar days, depending on the timing of weekends and other bank holidays ) to complete after initiating a purchase. '' On XX/XX/XXXX my {$500.00} deposit was not credited to my XXXX account and the transaction was still listed as pending. Because the 3-5 business days/ 7-10 calendar days transfer time had lapsed I submitted a request to XXXX inquiring why my deposited funds have not been credited to my account. I received a confirmation email from XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX confirming that they received my request and assigned me a case number of # XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX my deposit was still listed as pending so I attempted to reach out to XXXX via phone to resolve the matter, but I was informed that phone agents are unable to assist with account-specific inquiries ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Additionally, I was informed that submitting another request online will only result in additional delay. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX my deposit has not been credited to my XXXX account, and the transaction is still listed as pending. It has been 35 days since I made my deposit and 22 days since I submitted a request to resolve the matter. Coinbase, Inc./ XXXX has not offered me an explanation as to why my deposit is experiencing an extreme delay or when I can expect my deposit to clear. Due to this delay and lack of support from Coinbase, Inc./ XXXX I am left with no other option except to submit a complaint to the CFPB.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent XXXX BTC to my coinbase.com account and it showed up as a confirmed transaction in my coinbase account and on the XXXX XXXX, but coinbase has not updated my account balance so I ca n't withdraw my funds. I also bought XXXX Bitcoin on XX/XX/XXXX and held through XX/XX/XXXX and did not receive my Bitcoin Cash Transaction : XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Coinbase customer service XX/XX/XXXX and have n't heard back. Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, I invested funds with Coinbase, investing in Bitcoin and Eretheum. I sent funds into my Coinbase account several times. After Bitcoin gained significant value I tried to withdraw funds. I was locked out of my account and have been locked out with no ability to access my account for over 8 weeks. I have called Coinbase Customer Service many times. It was explained to me there is nothing they can do as they have a system problem due to an excess amount of business. They further explained to me that calling the customer service number to resolve the issue only hurts me because I get moved down the list in priority! I have had one supervisor, ( XXXX ) that said he would personally help me and to send him a screen shot of an error message. There was no reply or help from XXXX. I have been told a dozen times by customer service they ca n't help me! One representative even told me it is part of the risk of investing!! I explained to her it is not the investment that is the problem but the actions of Coinbase was the problem. All the while, my money is tied up in a downward market that I do not want to be in any longer but have no ability to withdraw the funds. Coinbase would not even freeze my account so I would not loose money with the declining market. My money is being lost simply because Coinbase refuses to give me access to my account!! I have lost thousands of dollars to date due to the incompetence ( and illegal actions ) of Coinbase. I have recorded phone calls and emails to substantiate my acquisitions. This complaint is my last attempt to resolve this matter before I seek legal action against Coinbase.

Complaint: I signed up for Coinbase, thinking that it would be a good idea to start investing in stocks and cryptocurrency was mentioned by many people suggesting that I and others should start investing. I went ahead and signed up for Coinbase at the end of XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I invested small amounts, XXXX totaling in {$20.00}, XXXX totaling in {$10.00}, XXXX totaling in {$15.00} ( one {$5.00} was on XX/XX/XXXX and the other 2 were XX/XX/XXXX ) and XXXX totaling in {$10.00}. I let the money sit and I had planned on keeping the money in those accounts to hopefully grow, but I had run into some personal life situations to where I need money to keep afloat, granted I do n't have much invested but anything is better than nothing. On XX/XX/XXXX I proceeded to withdraw the money I had in all 4 accounts to put into my XXXX XXXX, which totaled out to be {$40.00} after they took out fees. I withdrew {$14.00} in XXXX, {$6.00} in XXXX, {$13.00} in XXXX and {$6.00} in XXXX. Afterwards, I went to withdraw the money to my bank. At first it showed my debit card, but it would not let me click it to withdraw into my bank. I look for my bank in the options, it is nowhere to be found. My bank does not have an XXXX number, and I have sent in a request as well to get my money back but it seems like they just scammed and stole my money and I want MY money back.

Complaint: I wired {$20000.00} to XXXX with no errors and included the accurate Recipient Instructions/Message number on XX/XX/XXXX. The wire was initiated same-day ( was informed it would be deposited same day ). After two days still had not received a deposit and reached out to XXXX message support form for assistance with a detailed PDF including the Federal Reference Number, Bank Reference Number, etc. After a couple days called the Coinbasewires number and XXXX XXXX, but unable to get ahold of anyone. On XX/XX/XXXX after seven days of no XXXX response, I requested a wire reversal from my bank. I reached out to my bank on XX/XX/XXXX, and was informed my bank is still waiting for the reversal to initiate from XXXX XXXX, i.e., CoinBase, Inc. bank. I have sent another message to the XXXX support group. But unable to get ahold of anybody. Case ID # XXXX

Complaint: My bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) sent a SEPA payment of XXXX Euros to Coinbase on XX/XX/XXXX and one SEPA payment of XXXX Euros on XX/XX/XXXX. Coinbase stated that the name of my coinbase account was not the same as my bank account so said they would return the funds. They said these funds will be returned back to the sending bank within 1-2 business days. My bank advised me that these funds have not been returned. After providing Coinbase with additional payment details to make a SWIFT Payment on XX/XX/XXXX, may bank still stated they have received the funds. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from XXXX at Coinbase to say that payment have been reversed. Again my bank has no evidence that these funds have returned. On XX/XX/XXXX, I had further discussions with my bank. They stated Coinbase need to provide the XXXX of the returned payment to they can investigate the payment from our end to try to locate it and get it returned. I tried many times calling the coinbase support and emailing them but nothing happened. I have my savings in this account and i do not want to loose it.

I have sent support tickets, talked to their XXXX chat bot, and tried to verify my account with no luck and with no response. This is clearly a scam to make money off the float of peoples funds. I hope the CFPB will take any and all action aginst this clear and obvious fraud.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX,2017 I registered two sells with Coinbase, the first was for Ethereum - {$500.00} - Ref : XXXX. The second was for LTC - {$500.00} - Ref:XXXX. Both transactions are marked " Completed '' on Coinbase 's website. They state an expected transfer delay for ACH bank transfers of 4-6 business days. I submitted a support ticket with Coinbase on XXXX, still no response. It has been exactly one month today and I have received no response to my support ticket, phone calls, nor have I received any payment ETA.

Complaint: Coinbase is misleading in the withdraw process. Easily accepts funds, yet has insane need for username and passwords to access my accounts. I have {$590.00} in my US wallet. The 2 options to withdraw have completely unreasonable personal info requirements. I would like some help in resolving this issue. Username and password into my account accesses several accounts. Never going to do that. A more reasonable bank account number and routing number is more acceptable. Some way to target one account. Thank you for the help. I look forward to your response.

Complaint: Hi, My account is blocked due to identity verification which not allows me to sell or buy any virtual currency. I can not do anything on my account on coinbase since it keeps asking me to verify my identification. I already submitted my driver license and it got accepted. However, coinbase still requires me to complete the personal information which I had tried to complete with my information but it kept saying that " could n't verify my account, try again in the next 24 hours ''. Also, the quiz question made no sense and not related with me. For example, the quiz gave me a list of cities and asked me what city that had XXXX XXXX How do I suppose to know what city has XXXX XXXX? And why coinbase used this kind of question to verify my identification when there was nothing relate with me. And since coinbase kept asking me to try again in the next 24 hours ; in another word, coinbase locked me from performing any activities on my account, including but not limited to, selling, buying, withdrawing, etc. I currently have {$6500.00} in the account and all I want is my money back. I do n't want to do business with Coinbase anymore. Please help me! {$6500.00} is a big money for me, I just want my money to pay for my tuition fee.

Complaint: I transferred approximately XXXX LTC from XXXX ( Coinbase 's exchange ) after a somewhat glitchy " submit '' button was presented on screen, noting that I 've made too many transactions within the hour, despite only making one other withdrawal. My account is verified as well, so this was odd. Eventually after trying 3 or 4 times, the transfer said " submitted ''. This was XX/XX/XXXX. Around 13 days later ( XX/XX/XXXX ), I have still yet to receive the XXXX LTC from my XXXX account to my Binance account. On the Coinbase site, if you send any crypto from XXXX to another place, say a wallet or another exchange, there are two transaction notifications. One says " Transferred X '' and the other says " Sent X '', where X is the cryptocurrency. On this transaction, unlike the others, it just has " Transferred X ''. The certificate on the site was valid, and I always read aloud and double check the addresses to make sure they are correct. All this causes me to believe that Coinbase still contains my LTC ( worth ~ {$50.00} ). I 've sent support tickets and called, but no response has been made and I would like my money back. I am Case # XXXX.

Complaint: XXXX = I opened a Coinbase account in order to buy XXXX, so that I can later transfer my XXXX to another platform and use it to buy XXXX. I transferred XXXX $ to my Coinbase account and bought XXXX for XXXX XXXX Made the transfer to my wallet in XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX still no money. Waited 3 days for the transfer to complete and even though it says on Coinbase " completed '', when I click on the address of my transfer I receive a message " error 404 ''. XX/XX/XXXX - I waited 1 week for the money to supposedly reach my wallet in XXXX. XXXX is not responding at all to my queries. The last time I had my money they were in Coinbase 's possession - now they are missing. None of the platforms replies. I reached out twice to Coinbase support email, received only an automatically generated email. Nothing about my missing money.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX, I sold executed a sell order for XXXX Litecoin ( LTC ) from my account with Coinbase. The sell order was for a USD equivalent of {$1500.00} which was to be deposited via wire into my verified, personal bank account connected. The sell order status ( and associated wire ) are both reflected as 'completed ' on Coinbase, however ; I have not received the USD funds in either of my Coinbase or personal bank account. After checking with my personal bank to determine whether they may have rejected a wire and confirming that no wires were received, I submitted a support case to Coinbase on XXXX XXXX XXXX. The support case went unanswered for 17 days until on XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a message saying that the issue had been investigated and was being addressed, but without any details on the timeline for resolution. As of today, XXXX XXXX XXXX I have yet to receive the funds or any follow-up message regarding the path or timeline to resolution. My understanding is that Coinbase is a U.S. based entity with approval to operate under the oversight of state and federal regulators. With this being the case, I expect that customer support be sufficient to handle errors and resolve inquiries much faster than the nearly 30 days that this issue has remained outstanding ( and open within the Coinbase case system ).

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I initiated a bank wire transfer for {$10000.00} USD from my Coinbase USD account balance to my personal bank account at XXXX XXXX which is linked to my Coinbase account. Coinbase referenced this transaction as # XXXX further known as Transfer ID : XXXX. The wire was supposed to complete within 48 hours and as of today, XXXX XXXX, XXXX The funds have not reached my bank account and Coinbase did not re-deposit the un-wired funds back into my Coinbase account either. I placed an internet support request on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX because Coinbase does not have live customer service agents to help with fund transfer issues and was given Case # XXXX. After more than a week with no response I placed another support request with Coinbase on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and was given case # XXXX and as of today ( XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ) there has been no response from Coinbase. At this point they have apparently stolen my {$10000.00} US and I want it returned immediately.
