Complaint: I refinanced my mortgage with XXXX XXXX currently know as CIT in XX/XX/XXXX.It was an ARM which reached its peak at 4 %. I have been paying my mortgage and am not behind however I received an escrow analysis which says I have a shortage of $ XXXX. I tried to pay my regular amount of {$2500.00} and the mortgage company charged my bank account {$23000.00} and other like amounts for the past 2 months rendering me responsible for cancellation fees with my bank and rendering me unable to pay other bills until it was cleared up. I only authorized the payment of my monthly mortgage and escrow which is {$1600.00} principal/interest and {$950.00} escrow a total of {$2500.00}. It would only allow me to pay {$22000.00} this month which I do not have.I have submitted a letter to XXXX to let them know that this is causing me a hardship.This loan is predatory as best and I believe that I signed it out of desperation to keep my property and now when I am stable they want me to pay {$4100.00} a month or the lump sum of {$22000.00} which I do not have.The new monthly escrow amount {$1800.00} is more than the principal and interest as mentioned {$1600.00} They deferred {$100000.00} in a balloon payment and the total mortgage owed is $ XXXX. I do not know how I got the surplus in my escrow because I thought when I refinanced I was starting fresh again.I find this destabilizing my ability to stay in my home in my senior years.

Complaint: I received a mortgage through Cit bank in XX/XX/XXXX. At the time of getting my mortgage, I provided insurance information for both the condo building coverages as well as my own private insurance. In XXXX, they transferred my loan to " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' servicing center. Without notifying me or getting my consent, XXXX then decided in XXXX to start applying a " Hazard Insurance '' to my mortgage. I already have insurance, and Cit bank should have transferred this information to them when my loan was transferred. This is appalling behavior and should be illegal. I called in to addrese this on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with XXXX, ID XXXX. She told me I had to call their " Hazard Insurance Department '' and then hung up on me. I have tried calling Hazard Insurance and their phone wait times are over one hour.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I opened an account with CIT bank and deposited XXXX. Since then I have been trying to transfer my money out after it cleared and they told me my account was under review. 30 days late and it is XX/XX/2018 and I am still not able to withdraw my funds from this account. They said it was still under review, are very vague with me about what's going on, never return my calls, and said they have no idea why I can't access my funds after 30 days of it being on hold for a so called review. This is a horrible bank. I just want to transfer my money out of this account and close it but they won't let me. And they told me they would send something in the mail to me. They dont even know what it is they are sending me and can't tell me. I've called 8 times over the course of a month and never received anything. I just want my money!

Complaint: Our home was hit by Hurricane XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Our zip code, XXXX, was declared a natural disaster area. I contacted my 1st mortgage ( CIT BANK ) to request forbearance. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from CIT Bank that my partial forebearance was approved ( Attached ) and would receive a contract to sign ( attached ). We signed and returned the contract and made our first partial payment on the date on the contract. I received a Credit Report Alert ( XXXX ) that CIT bank reported my XX/XX/XXXX payment 30 days late. I contacted CIT Bank and reported the error and was told that the contract DID NOT state they were not going to report late and therefore the 30 days past due was accurate and there would be no corrections. I cancelled the forebearance agreement in XX/XX/XXXX and made the additional payments to be current due to the severe impact on my credit score. I submitted a dispute for the late payment with the credit bureau and it came back as verified. My loan was transferred to XXXX as the new servicer on XX/XX/XXXX. I disputed it with XXXX and they will not make any corrections because it was CIT Bank My credit score dropped 40 points because of the 30 days past due on the credit report. Currently I am trying to refinance due to a balloon payment due XX/XX/XXXX and are unable due to a late payment on my mortgage within 12 months. I feel I was tricked by CIT by them not providing all the facts after a Hurricane hit our home. I can not get refinancing to make my balloon payment on my CIT Bank Mortgage.

Complaint: Our loan has now been transferred to another company and now Citibank can not look up our loan number with our complaint ticket ( see below ) I am getting the run around and no one seems to know how to access the complaint ticket. I need help finding the dept or person processings my request. On XX/XX/2018, at XXXX XXXX, Customer Service XXXX wrote : Dear XXXX XXXX , Thank you for contacting your loan servicing team! We have received your inquiry and are assigning it to the appropriate department where your request will be thoroughly reviewed and handled. Please utilize the ticket number provided which begins with the letters XXXX for any further communication relating to your recently submitted email request. Please note : duplicate inquiries may prolong your time for resolution. Your reference/ticket number is XXXX. XXXX Your Inquiry ====== To Whom If May Concern, We currently have a mortgage with CIT ( loan number XXXX ). We are in the process of refinancing our mortgage and we were sent the payoff figures. Upon inquiring about the below Total fees and charges we were told that {$60.00} was for processing the loan and the rest was a recoverable corporate advance fees totaling {$3600.00}. We have questions and objections regarding these fees. 1 ) To our knowledge we have never been apprised of these fees. Apparently, they are associated with a bankruptcy from XX/XX/XXXX. Will you please provide us with the documentation that notified us of these charges and for what purpose. 2 ) Will you also provide us with a breakdown of these fees and what specifically they were for. 3 ) Will you please provide us with the regulation and statue that authorizes the permission for charging us recoverable corporate advances fees and fees for costs associated with a bankruptcy 4 ) And, lastly will you please send guidance as to how to contest these fees. Here are the circumstances : XXXX XXXX gave us a construction loan that would roll over to a permanent loan. Midpoint in our loan we inherited another property and asked the loan manager if we could apply for a larger loan ( so we could add an apartment ). The loan manager assured us we could do this. When it came time to redo the construction loan we XXXX XXXX told us we could have an extension. We applied for the extension and they hired a local appraisal. Our property was appraised within the mortgage budget. A few days later XXXX internal appraiser denied our local appraisal and reduced our property by over {$100000.00}, and refused to give us the money to finish. Unbeknownst to us at the time XXXX was collapsing and shortly afterwards filed for bankruptcy. I went to HUD and they processed our income and situation and determined we were eligible for The Making Affordable home mortification. We applied to XXXX for The Making Home Affordable modification. They denied us saying we didnt qualify. But, we knew we did. I went to our congressional representatives and asked for their help ( among others ) and they put me in contact with a person in XXXX who could make financial decisions. He denied us too. XXXX proceeded with foreclosure. We filed bankruptcy to protect our property. Two days later I was on the phone with the person who could make decisions and literally demanded to know how he was determining our ineligibility. As he went through the process he suddenly said, Oh, wait a minute Ive been using your total loan amount which includes taxes and insurance - which I didnt realize- and then adding in taxes and insurances again, which was a mistake. And, the loan amount was to high for your debt ratio. He admitted he made a mistake. Suddenly he said, Oh wait, someone just came in my office and told me we mailed you the modification yesterday. This was a compete fabrication. We did get a modification and we have been on time with our mortgage ever since. However, we could not cancel the bankruptcy. We paid all our debts and never took advantage of the bankruptcy. We paid for it dearly because it was on our credit report for seven years and we could not refinance the XXXX loan. Now, we find out that XXXX has charged us with their costs to deal with our bankruptcy even though it was their repeated mistake that forced us to claim bankruptcy. They caused the situation on several fronts. I have over simplified the above circumstances, but I have several boxes full of documentation regarding the above matter and can provide the backup documentation, if needed. It is our request, due to the extenuating circumstances, that the {$3600.00} be forgiven. Thank you, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX

THE PROBLEM IS, CIT BANK, NEEDS TO MAKE AN IMMEDIATE DECISION AS APPROVED OR DISAPPROVED ON THE RE-MODIFICATION, AS THEY ALREADY HAVE AN UPCOMING SALE DATE SET FOR XX/XX/XXXX, WHICH IS LESS THAN 30 DAYS FROM NOW!! I AM A XXXX, WHO CURRENTLY HAS THE MEANS TO PAY A MORTGAGE, AND MEET ALL CIT BANKS CRITERIA FOR A MODIFICATION, BUT, KEEP GETTING STONED WALLED WITH NO FINAL ANSWER ON THE STATUS OF THIS RECENTLY SUBMITTED APPLICATION!! THEY HAVE MORE THAN 5 YEARS OF BANK STATEMENTS AND HAVE THE LAST 8 YEARS OF MY FILED FEDERAL INCOME TAX ON FILE!!
