Complaint: I have a mortgage with CIT/OneWest Bank. When I applied for the mortgage, they assured me that once the mortgage is in place they provide 24 hour web access to the account. However, within a few weeks of my having received the mortgage, online access was gone. When I try to login I get message " System Error. We 're sorry, but an unexpected system error has occurred. We are unable to process your request. '' This has been the case since XXXX or XXXX 2016. After what probably adds up to hours on hold and with their agents, they finally told me that the error was due to a " system upgrade ''. Since XXXX I have been repeatedly told the problem will be fixed soon. I have been promised a call back from a manager, which never came. When I call about it now they just tell me that it is a known error. There is no sign that this problem will ever be fixed.

Complaint: I have a residential mortgage loan currently with CIT Bank and previously with One West Bank and before that with IndyMac Bank as each bank was bought up by the other so they are now " bigger '' than " too big too fail '' putting our country in grave danger that their corrupt practices will cause them to come begging for another XXXX dollar tax payer bail out. My loan originated in 2007 with Indymac Bank and for the term of the loan multiple copies of the proof of insurance for my condo building was sent to the bank over and over and over and each bank claimed they did not receive the faxes and mailed copies and thus, each bank threatened to place extremely expensive insurance on my condo even though they were provided mulitiple copies of the insurance declaration page, year after year, proving that the insurance coverage was uninterrupted year after year. In talking with these bankers, it is clear that they have a deliberate and malicious protocol to wear borrowers down by continually telling them that they have not received the multiple copies of proof of insurance so that they can force place grossly overpriced insurance that creates another profit source for them at the expense of the borrower who already has insurance. THERE IS A PATTERN TO THE BANKS CORRUPT AND AMORAL METHODS AND PROTOCOL AND IT IS CLEAR THAT THE EMPLOYEES ARE DIRECTLY GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS TO " LOSE '' OR " SHRED '' THE PROOF OF INSURANCE THAT WAS FAXED OR MAILED IN FOR MY HOME REPEATEDLY EACH YEAR FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 YEARS. NEVER ONCE WAS THE INSURANCE FOR MY APARTMENT BUILDING EVER NOT IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT YET I HAVE RECEIVED THREATENING LETTERS BY THESE BANKS CLAIMING THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PROOF OF INSURANCE AND THEY WILL GOUGE ME BY FORCE PLACING INSURANCE. PLEASE STOP " CIT BANK '' WHO CONTINUES THIS TRADITION OF CORRUPTION AND THIEVERY. ALSO, AS A BANK THAT IS BACKED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, HOW IS IT EVEN LEGAL THAT CIT BANK DOES NOT PUBLISH ANY INFORMATION ON ITS EXECUTIVES AND IT ON DOZENS OF CALLS THEY REFUSE TO DISCLOSE THE NAME OF ANY EXECUTIVES, INCLUDING THE CEO.

Complaint: ABOUT MY COMPANY XXXX has been in business for over 35 years. XXXX. About 70 % of our business occurs during XXXX through XXXX and we are approaching our busy time frame. BACKGROUND ON THE HARASSMENT CALL Today I received a phone call from XXXX ( representing their client who is CIT Group ) located in XXXX NY asking me to expedite a payment of over {$3600.00} by the end of this week ; as of today XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I now owe them about {$23000.00}. The original agreement I proposed to them on XXXX XXXX, XXXX was... - {$750.00} every 2 weeks thru XXXX - {$3500.00} every month XXXX thru XXXX Then I asked XXXX if I could reduce the first part of the payment from {$750.00} to a range of $ XXXX {$500.00} every 2 weeks. No one ever got back to me I have paid between {$300.00} and {$500.00} since XXXX ; they cashed all of the checks without telling me that those checks were not acceptable but by cashing the checks it led me to believe that XXXX, acting on behalf of their client, agreed to the payment plan that I was making. So I am thinking everything is fine with the payments until I get a call today that they wanted to step up the payments and need a check by this Friday XXXX XXXX, XXXX. The person I spoke to, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, threatened me with legal action if I do n't sign the payment plan by the end of today Monday XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I told them how can you call me and request an immediate payment by the end of the week and no one at the collection agency mentioned this to me WHEN THEY WERE CASHING THE CHECKS. They had more than enough time to call me in XXXX and XXXX XXXX to let me know those payments were not good enough. If I had known that they were going to do this I would have changed the timing of paying my other vendor bills. I told XXXX that if she filed legal action against my company I would go out of business because my credit would be ruined and all she said was if you do n't sign the payment agreement you will be sued because her client has to be paid ; I told her she was being very rude and she said I was yelling at her. AND THEN SHE TOLD ME IF I DON '' T STOP YELLING SHE WOULD HANG UP THE PHONE ON ME AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT SHE DID. Yes I did raise my voice and I told her what would you do if you are being threatened with legal action. I also asked XXXX why ca n't she wait until XXXX to start receiving the higher payments of {$3500.00} per month and she said 60 days is too long. Originally I wanted to start paying {$3500.00} in XXXX but XXXX would be more realistic for my company - I feel very comfortable with this payment plan. The other issue I explained to her is that my Bank XXXX XXXX has agreed to a 6 month payment deferral on my loan used to purchase the business in XXXX XXXX. They see the value in the business and have agreed to work with me to get out of this situation. XXXX did not want to hear anything about that. XXXX XXXX was very unprofessional especially when she threatened me with legal action. It is quite surprising that a company such as C I T GROUP COMMERCIAL would choose an unprofessional company like XXXX to represent them. HOW WE GOT BEHIND ON OUR BILLS I got into this situation because one of my XXXX in XXXX / XXXX XXXX which caused my company to lose over {$200000.00} in XXXX and lost business. We had nothing to do with the XXXX but that XXXX was not willing to make up for it by giving us discounts on what we owed him for the work that he did. Most of out vendors are working with us as we get through this obstacle that we have no control over. OUR BUSINESS FUNDAMENTALS ARE STRONG Despite this issue our business fundamentals are strong and we have not lost a single customer ; in addition to that we are picking up new customers almost daily.

Complaint: I purchased my deceased mother 's home. Financial freedom sent a pay off that was XXXX more than what was owed. The closing was 5 months ago and the estate is now closed. Financial freedom is now returning the stolen money but the check is written in the name of the closed estate. They are refusing to reissue the check jointly in my name XXXX XXXX and the name of the estate thereby forcing me to have to spend time and money to reopen the estate all because they were trying to steal and could not. Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : I continue to have trouble getting my draws from CIT/One West Bankfor construction of a new home. I previously filed a complaint with my Attorney General that was subsequently sent to your department ( CFPB Case # XXXX XXXX. I have promptly paid the mortgage payment now for two years, on a home that I can not live in. I have put {$45000.00} of my own content money into the construction of the home. I have provided receipts, photos, summaries, and expenditures in hopes of getting my third draw - and yet I wait. The initial delay for my first draw caused my builder to quit in addition to the loss of all the trades. As CIT/One West Bankcontinues to drag their feet in authorizing money for this draw, I am facing yet again the same situation. The bottom line is that I need to be in the house in two months. Even the insurance company can no longer abide the delays. I made the request for the inspection on XXXX/XXXX/17 and we are now into XXXX and I am still waiting for my 3rd draw ... any portion of it. While CIT/One West Bankcontinues to collect my mortgage payment on a defunct unlivable house. XXXX/XXXX/17 - I spoke with XXXX XXXX to request an inspection. I explained again, that I was building a new house and was not at 90 % complete, and asked if I should file for an exception at this time, I had hoped to have the roof and siding complete but I have had so many weather delays. I was told to wait and see how the inspection and review went. XXXX/XXXX/17 - The inspector reviewed the house and took photos of the paid for supplies ( e.g. metal roof, siding, etc. ). XXXX/XXXX/17 - I followed up with XXXX XXXX XXXX of CIT/One West Bankvia email to get the status of the request. XXXX/XXXX/17 - I was told by XXXX XXXX to contact the Loss Department at XXXX. XXXX/XXXX/17 - I talked to XXXX XXXX and was told because the inspector report that the house was 65 % complete that I needed to file for an exception. She filed this request for me. XXXX XXXX told me it would be 3-5 days. I was told to go ahead and send all the receipts and signed waivers indicating how the 2nd draw was spent. XXXX/XXXX/17 - I provided a summary table of all expenses, copies of all receipts and waivers by fax and email. This was also sent to XXXX XXXX. XXXX/XXXX/17 - I talked to check the status of the exception. I talked with XXXX, who told me that my request was not even being reviewed because I had not asked for a specific dollar amount. I explained, yet again, that I am asking for my third draw, not a dollar amount. It was then that I learned ... because I was not 90 % done - even though it 's a new construction ( due to concerns about the structure of the home in the fire ), and can not follow the adjusters worksheet to meet 90 % complete. Even though I 've documented the money was spent on the materials that are on site waiting for weather ... that I needed to request a specific dollar amount. While I 've been waiting the specified 3-5 days, they had done nothing. That includes NOT calling me to tell me my request was not complete. At this time, I was asked to provide a verbal dollar amount, which was {$50000.00}. And was told 2-3 more days. XXXX/XXXX/17 - I provided documents in support of {$50000.00} request. In addition, I provided a photo of the now completed roof. XXXX/XXXX/17 - I called to check on the status of my request. XXXX explained there was no update and told me it would be another 3 days or so. XXXX/XXXX/17 - I called and talked to XXXX who was also not able to tell me the status of my request. I would like to know what recourse I have as a consumer, as they continue to cause hardship after hardship.

Complaint: I 'm XXXX years old and I 'm scheduled to be foreclosed on XXXX XXXX. CIT Bank ( Financial Freedom ) has a reverse mortgage on my property. When I made this arrangement, it was with the intention that I would be able remain at my house for the rest of my life. I hve reached out ( or family has done so ) to come to a resolution whereby I can begin paying what CIT claims I owe in property taxes and thus avoid an unnecessary foreclosure. I have only Social Security, so losing my house would quite a challenge for me. I feel that I have not been offered or allowed to make an offer to help me remain in my house.
