Complaint: Both of my parents were found died on XX/XX/XXXX 2017. My parents had a reverse mortgage which of course was there discussion. After their bank accounts were frozen, 10 days later my parents are dead to XXXX. I am the one that called Financial Freedom and told them my parents had passed. I even sent copies of the death certificate to them, although we are still waiting on FINAL Autopsy before we can even open an Estee. But Financial Freedom, NEVER BOTHERED TO TELL ME WHEN THE COURT DATE WAS. THEY HAVE SEIZED THE PROPERTY AND IT STILL HAS MY OWN PERSONAL CHILDHOOD ITEMS IN IT. THESE ITEMS NEVER BE REPLACED. WITH LARGE LOCKS. THE DEATH CERTIFICATE IS NOT COMPLETE HOW CAN THE TAKE PROPERTY, WHEN LEGALLY THEY HAVE NOT GOTTEN A FINAL AUTOPSY? I ALSO SENT A REQUEST AT SAME TIME I SENT THERE PENDING DEATH CERTIFICATES, ASKING THEM TO PLEASE SEND A DETAILED LIST OF ALL DEBT OWED, THAT MY INTENTION WAS TO TRY TO SETTLE THIS WHEN I WAS ABLE TO GET INTO THE ESTEE.

Complaint: I am requesting assistance for a distraught family that would like to prevent a foreclosure on the Deceased owner 's property that was left to her son. The property has a Reverse Mortgage wit h Financial Freedom LLC, a CIT company. <P/> We are in the " grace period '', and have an offer from the Grandson of the deceased to be able to keep the home in the family. I have requested a postponement, however, now I am being told that we need Proof of Funds to po stpone or a loan approval. <P/> The buyer/Grandson is in the midst of obtaining the loan. Initially the representatives advised that as long as we had an offer and working towards the purchase that we would be able to obtain a postponement. We understood that it would not be for months, but enough to allow us to complete the purchase and avoid a foreclosure. <P/> Our concern is that since there is equity in the property, the lender may not care to allow the postponement. The representatives initially advised that we could submit the offer showing that there was a bona fide offer so that the lender would allow the postponement. I sent the offer several times and tried to no avail reach someone at Freedom/CIT Company only to be told last week that we needed to have proof of funds or a loan approval. I advised that we were in the process of the loan and that is why we need the postponement, so that the loan approval would be finalized. <P/> I was finally able to get a hold of a representative at the bank and I was informed that they had received the offer on XX/XX/XXXX and proceeded to review the offer as a short sale. I advised that it was not a short sale, that it was a standard offer as there is equity. Apparently the " short sale '' was denied, so now that does not help us since there is a denial in their system. Neither the Successor Trustee/Son of the deceased received nor myself, received notification of any sort advising of what had transpired on their end. <P/> That is another issue that we have been facing, it is very difficult to get through and have to wait for the representatives to call when they are available. I also called the Attorneys handling t he foreclosure process and they too advised they have had issues getting through to them. <P/> The family would like assistance from FHA/HUD as well since it is an FHA loan to be able to receive a postponement as the lender representatives mentioned that they are following FHA guidelines which would seem contrary to FHA/HUD wanting to foreclose when we just need at most a 30 to 45 day po stponement. I understand that FHA/HUD from many of the advocacy groups I belong to, that they are here to prevent a foreclosure. <P/> The reason for the delay in closing was that the buyer had a lien that show up that should not have and it had to be resolved. This issue has now been resolved. <P/> I appreciate your assistance in this matter in preventing a foreclosure and assisting the family keep the long time home remain in the family patrimony.

XXXX XXXX property Identification Number ( " PIN '' ) is XXXX I only conveyed XXXX XXXX to CIT. However, a closer look at the legal description attached as " Exhibit A '' to the Deed indicates that the PIN XXXX, belonging to the property located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, Illinois, XXXX ( " XXXX XXXX '' ) was included. <P/>The property with the PIN ending in XXXX was retained by me and is encumbered by a Mortgage with XXXX XXXX XXXX, which I pay monthly. CIT 's error has caused the land ending in PIN XXXX to be sold and conveyed to other entitles, which are not entitled to have the property. I 've made a formal demand for CIT Bank to correct the deed in the XXXX County Recorder of Deeds office, they refuses to make the correction.

Complaint: I closed an account with CIT bank in XX/XX/XXXX which I had used to keep funds after the sale of my home a couple of years earlier . CIT ba nk did not send me my tax forms for XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX after I had already filed my XXXX taxes. They had emailed me information regarding the forms in previous years but ceased all email communication after I closed my account. I updated my banking information across multiple banks which I used after the sale of my home and all banks except CIT mailed me the forms to my proper, new address. When I contacted CIT they stated they monitored all communication and stated I never contacted and never updated my address them which is not true. I am now facing a costly amendment process to my taxes.

Complaint: I started an online applica tion with CIT on XXXX XXXX , 2017 . There was a technical error where I was unable to click on a button on the web form, and I was unable to complete the application. I called in to get help with the application, but they said it was probably a typo. On XXXX XXXX , 2017 , I received an email for CIT saying they were n't able to open and account and to call in if I had any questions. I called on XXXX XXXX , 2017 , but I was unable to get an answer as to why an account could not be opened. I called again on XXXX XXXX , 2017 , and after a lot of prodding, I was told I could not be found anywhere in the nation. The person I talked to did not believe me that there was a technical error, and that I was unable to complete the application. On XXXX XXXX , 2017 , I sent an email detailing the problem and received an automatic response that I would hear ba ck in one to two business days. I have not heard back.

Its been a year now since her death and Financial Freedom is still at foreclosing.
The house is in horrible condition. Financial Freedom arranged an appraisal that is per current sales. My mother 's house has not been repaired for 20 years now.

I received notification from the servicer that they will not postpone the foreclosure. Financial Freedom even set the price on a short sale.
A short sale package was submitted to Financial Freedom over a month ago. How can they set the price on a home??????????????

Complaint: Financial Freedom LN XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX XXXX CA XXXX We have requested a copy of the appraisal that had been used to value this property multiple times. We have requested it 3 times directly from the negotiator, XXXX XXXX . Two t imes via email and once via phone call. She has completely ignored our requests. We have also called in t o Financial Freedom a nd they have outright refused to provide a copy of the appraisal. Refusing to provide a copy of the appraisal used in a value decision is a direct violation of the ECOA guidelines ( a copy is attached to this complaint ). We believe there has been valuation fraud on this file, an d Financial Freedom is r efusing to provide a copy of the appraisal, as per ECOA guidelines. This property is a Mobile Home on a Cinderblock Foundation and Financial Freedom is hiding the fact that they have accepted a value on it that compares it to a single-family residential property. The value that Financial Freedom has come up with are in line with the market comparables for Single-Family residences in the area. This value is NOT in line with market comparables for a Mobile Home on a Cinderblock Foundation . Again, this property is NOT a Single-Family Residence. It is a Mobile Home on a Cinderblock Foundation. Any value that would have been arrived at by comparing this Mobile Home on a Cinderblock Foundation t o a Single-Family Residence is FRAUD. Financial Freedom has either 1 ) either committed the fraud on purpose, 2 ) wer e too stupid to review the appraisal, or 3 ) they hired an XXXX . None of those are acceptable excuses for Valuation Fraud . We believe thi s Valuation Fraud is being done on purpose to defraud the Federal Government and t he US Taxpayer. Als o, Financial Freedom is claiming that the foreclosure auction will take place on XX/XX/XXXX . We have checked wit h the county and a Notice of Trustee Sale has not been recorded. Not only that, but the seller died in XXXX of XXXX . ( See attached Death Certificate. ) T here is a 12 month moratorium on foreclosing on the property of a deceased person. That means the Estate of the Deceased has 12 months to sell the property before the foreclosure proceedings can even begin. The original estimated foreclosure date on this property was in XXXX XXXX . That means that Financial Freedom st arted the foreclosure proceedings in XXXX , as soon as they found out he was deceased. THIS IS ILEGAL. Does Financial Freedom plan to Illegally Foreclose on the property?
