I am not sure how this happened, I believe that I had made my payments to you when I received my statements. My only thought is that my monthly statement did not get to me.

Complaint: XX/XX/2019 To Whom It May Concern : I would like to file a complaint against Capital One credit card company.
On XX/XX/2019 I made a telephone order purchase for a circulation product from a company called XXXX XXXX.
At the time that I made the purchase I was only supposed to be charged for the shipping and handling to receive the product, and that was supposed to be {$24.00}.
As well as, at the time of purchase I was told that I could return the product for a full refund if I was not satisfied with my purchase.
I later learned after reviewing my statement that I was not initially charged the {$24.00} that I was supposed to be charged for the initial purchase ; instead XXXX XXXX company charged my credit card for the amount of {$89.00}, which I did not authorize, nor did I know about.
I received the product, and I was not happy with it, it did not provide the service that I was told that it would do, I contacted XXXX XXXX company on XX/XX/2019 letting them know that I was not happy with the product, and I wanted to return it to them for my full refund.
They provided me with a return authorization number of # XXXX, and I returned their product back to them, and by the tracking they received their merchandise back on XX/XX/2019.
XXXX XXXX company was not supposed to make any further charges onto my credit card, but although they knew that the merchandise was being returned back to them, they charged my credit card an additional {$49.00}, that I knew nothing about, and did not authorize.
I contacted Capital One on XX/XX/2019 to complain about all of the unauthorized charges that were placed onto my credit card account by XXXX XXXX company ; they assigned my complaint case number # XXXX.
Capital One instead of correcting my account, and crediting my account for ( ALL ) of the unauthorized money that I should not have been charged by XXXX XXXX company, Capital One is now claiming that XXXX XXXX credited me back the unauthorized charge of {$49.00} on XX/XX/2019, and what Capital one is also doing on both of my statements for ( XX/XX/2019 to XX/XX/2019 XXXX and my statement for ( XX/XX/2019 to XX/XX/2019 ) they have placed the same {$49.00} transaction with the same the same transaction date, and they are now trying to claim that XXXX XXXX credited my account twice on XX/XX/2019 with a credit for {$49.00}, and this is not true.
Capital One has not credited my credit card account with the right amount of refund that I should have been credited back ; and they are allowing XXXX XXXX company to cheat me.
As stated previously, I should not have been charged any part of that {$49.00} that, that cheating thieving merchant charged to my credit card account, because they knew that their merchandise was on its way back to them.
And the initial {$89.00} that XXXX XXXX company charged to my credit card account, that was an unauthorized charge as well ; I did not know that this is what they were charging me when I placed the order.
The invoice from XXXX XXXX, that I am providing with my complaint, this is the slip that came to me when I received the merchandise.
Capital One has claimed that they gave my account a {$89.00} credit, and they are now taking it back, according to the letter they sent to me dated XX/XX/2019.
And the way I see it, XXXX XXXX did not refund the {$49.00} that they charged to my account twice.
XXXX XXXX company was supposed to refund {$49.00} that they took on XX/XX/2019, as well as the {$89.00} that I did not authorize on XX/XX/2019, I dont remember them telling me that, that is what I was to pay for that order up front.
So now my credit card account is still fraudulently not being credit back the {$89.00} that I should have been refunded by the merchant. And Capital One is refusing to credit my account back the money that I am wrongfully being cheated out of.

Complaint: I purchased a laptop on my Capital One credit card but the item received from the merchant is different from what was ordered and does not have active version of XXXX installed to it. I have tried to dispute this item with the credit card company but it is simply impossible to get hold of them. Also, their online self-service dispute tool does not work, instead providing a phone number where nobody is picking up or helping you.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX is garnishing my {$11.00} an hour wages for a time barred business debt ( taken out with a tax is # ) in which I have payment records and income tax returns to prove it was a business debt. When I took out the credit card I asked Capital One why they did not need my social security number and they said they use the tax ID # instead for business accounts. I called the original creditor Capital One last night, and they said the debt is not showing up in their records and to fax them a copy of a statement so they can research my account. I received a notice of garnishment on XX/XX/2019 and I sent the response to the court on XX/XX/2019. My employer did not notify me that I was being garnished. I have {$540.00} left to pay bills and eat and gas the car for 2 weeks.

Complaint: The company stated in their response to my CFPB complaint # XXXX on XX/XX/19 that they were permanently crediting my account with the {$51.00}. However, what they did was put the charge back onto my account -- Again ... The amount is listed in black, rather than in green with a negative sign in front of it like how a purchase adjustment is supposed to be. I called them several times about this but I ended up getting nowhere because I just kept getting the runaround and being put on hold which took 45 minutes to an hour each time. Eventually I had to hang up because it was taking way too much time -- Over something that was their fault, not mine. They're getting paid for their time and aggravation over the phone, not me. I feel as though they treat customers this way on purpose so that they don't get their issues resolved. I will be closing my account with Capital One after this experience. In the meantime, they need to credit my account like they told both you and me they were going to do. And they need to do it twice, because they've rebilled me for the {$51.00} twice. I am also getting socked with interest charges over this because i refuse to pay an amount that they told both me and you was going to be credited. And I sure as XXXX am not paying the amount twice either. These people are corrupt. Please do something about this ...

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I was notified by XXXX XXXX that Capital One had reported a delinquent payment on my account. I had never made a late payment and have had a 100 % on time payment history for all of my accounts. When I looked into the situation, the only information the Capital One customer service representative was able to provide was that I had made a payment that was {$1.00} short of the minimum, and that it was the {$1.00} that had been reported to the Credit Bureau. This, if true, was an inadvertent mistake. I had supposedly made a payment of {$520.00} instead of {$520.00}. No one informed me prior to the delinquent notice that I had made this mistake, despite Capital One 's claims that they put customer service first and notify you if anything is wrong with your account. I was told by Capital One that I could dispute the report by paying to get my credit report, hand-writing a letter, and providing multiple forms to show why I believed it should be corrected. This report about a {$1.00} late payment dropped my credit score by almost 100 points. Because this seemed like such poor customer service, I filed a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX. I had another representative from Capital One contact me after this, but I was never able to speak with her directly, and she never returned my calls. Then she filed a response that she was unwilling to remove the delinquent report. I did not accept the response via the XXXX XXXX XXXX, and then called CFPB for support. This was approximately three weeks later. At this point, I logged into my XXXX XXXX account to provide information and noticed that by this point, the delinquent payment notice had indeed been removed from my credit report. I am very grateful for this. However, one week later, my credit score has not improved. I would like it returned to what it was before the unfair delinquent report. I am still very disappointed in the way Capital One handled this and in their poor customer service and lack of communication.

Complaint: CAPITAL ONE BANK USA N is a result of identity theft. I recently discovered through my new monitoring service this account being reported I made efforts to remove this account from my file as the amount of {$2800.00} does not belong to me. This account was fraudulently opened through this company in XXXX of 2014 an has been reported to the FTC and authorities as Identity theft. I have submitted all of my information needed to resolve this matter in this complaint and through the FTC report attached and do not feel comfortable giving any further information in any way to any others at this time due to the further possibilities of identity theft.

Even though I have the available credit on my Capitol One card to make the purchase of XXXX dollars capital one will not process the transaction without a copy of my drivers license or passport. Complaint: I have a loan with CAPITAL ONE. I have always made my payments on time. For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both XXXX, XXXX and CAPITAL ONE with no successful resolution. XXXX and XXXX only reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part. I was never 30 days late.
