Complaint: I am XXXX XXXX sailor in the military I have contacted Capital One Bank and XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX , XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I have spoken to ther credit card department, auto loan department and the Capital one 360 banking on several occasions requesting proof of my signature for over 20 inquires for Capital One 25 for XXXX listed on all three of my credit reports . I get transferred and one is able to assist me to let me know why my credit is being pulled . I have only authorized capital one to pull my credit on 2 occasions XXXX XXXXXXXX credit increase and XXXX XXXX auto loan . I have authorized XXXX to pull my credit for auto loan XXXX XXXX I have placed a fraud alert and requested I be contacting via phone (celluar number) before my credit is pulled . I have contacted XXXX XXXX and XXXX to have these inquiries remove each time I have called I was told to contact the merchant (Capital One)XXXXI hired a credit repair company to send letters to both the merchant and credit agencies I have gotten no where out of XXXX fromXXXX XXXX . I’m mostly away out on deployments so I’m not sure why I’m getting these inquires monthly .

Complaint: 1. Capital One charged off my account with no warning and no time for me to prevent it. They say XX/XX/2019 but I had no idea until XX/XX/XXXX when a statement showed up. There was nothing on the statement that said the account went to a " Firm '' or which one it went to or any contact information. I had to go online to their website when I was able and see it was XXXX XXXX XXXX. I made a complaint to them because I had no idea what was going on. They wrote back and said they'd had it since XX/XX/XXXX ( the day I knew ). I told them about the repeated harassing phone calls from Capital One and they sent me back a note saying that the issue was " Closed '' and sent back to Capital One. That was dated XX/XX/XXXX. I thought and was led to believe this was closed.
2. XX/XX/XXXX I get a letter out of the blue from XXXX and XXXX XXXX. dated XX/XX/XXXX. It was such a shock because I was led to believe it was closed. They told me that if I was to dispute I was supposed to send them a letter within 30 days and then they would send me proof that I owed it.
3. I sent them a letter on XX/XX/XXXX, disputing the entire amount because of the letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I got a response from " XXXX '' at Capital One on the XXXX to the CFPB complaints. Then a letter from XXXX and XXXX telling me the dispute was " Invalid ''. No explanation. I'm just going with what THEY said in their letter. It's the law! They never sent me an explanation or proof. They are supposed to give me an explanation. Just a " Invalid '' and the amount THEY say I owe. And I'm supposed to call their XXXX number for a payment plan.Nothing else. Nothing that was mentioned they would do in the 1st letter.
4. Neither Capital One, XXXX and XXXX XXXX, or XXXX and XXXX XXXX sent me any proof of anything or any explanations why anything occurred. I never even got the 30-day dispute letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX.
This does not mean that any of these people have any right to send me 20 pounds of paper in a manila envelope in the mail. This has happened before with Capital One and it was hideous and a complete waste of their money, time and of natural resources.
If they must send me page after page do it through the complaint electronically.
5. These people have tortured me with their complete lack of communication and I am petrified what they will try next.
6. They are breaking the law now to get me into deeper trouble.

Complaint: Capital One - unauthorized transaction Capital One XXXX XXXX withdrew {$850.00} from my account. Called Capital One as I do not have an auto loan with them. I was told by Capital One to call my bank as they did not find an auto loan account under my name. I spent over an hour on the phone with Capital One and no one can explain how they got my account number or why they stole money from me for an account I do not have with them. I was told there is nothing they can do to return the money as I do not have an auto loan with them. So how are they able to withdraw {$850.00} from my checking account??
I have other bills that are going to be due soon and I will not be able to pay those bills? When I get insufficient fund charges I believe that Capital One should have to pay these fees.

Complaint: This account is showing as if it is open showing on my credit report every month that I failed to pay. It has been closed. Not showing the correct balance and information is incorrect. Spoke with people at capital one and they claimed they will fix the problem. This account needs to be removed from my credit report because of all the incorrect information and loan term. Loan term was not 90 months. Very incorrect information.

Previously, they had mailed information to my father. Their response indicated that they were required by law to send such materials to my physical address instead of my mailing address. However, what they sent was just a regular notice of garnishment. They had sent them to my Post Office box previously and did so following the incident.
This time, on the afternoon of Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, their agent knocked on the door of my father 's home, handed him a Motion for Revivor of Judgement, and left. It was not in an envelope. My father is willing to testify to this is court.
Moreover, I've researched the company and they have a long history of such tactics.

Complaint: I opened the account XX/XX/XXXX. It was a secured credit card with Capital One so that I could build my credit. I have never made a late payment. On XX/XX/2019, I set up for the balance of {$190.00} to be drafted from my bank account to Capital One to settle the balance. Capital One released the funds to me that same day and then I used the card to buy groceries. 7 days later, Capital One notified me that the payment was returned. i called and asked them how is that so when the funds were already made available in my account and both them and my bank verified that the payment was withdrawn. The agent said it was because sometimes, they give a courtesy credit to allow customers to use the funds while they are still processing. Which made zero sense to me because as a customer it confused me. I ended up thinking the Capital One account was paid off and started spending money that technically was not there but they displayed it to me as if it was. The balance then became {$330.00} on the account so I called them to see what advice they could give on setting up the payment and having it go through in time enough to where it will not return. The agent said to set up the payment for a much sooner date than when the funds would be drafted so that they are released the same day my direct deposit hits my account. i then asked if she thinks I should set up the account for XX/XX/XXXX and she said yes. So, that is what I did. However that time, they only took 2 days to process the payment and the funds were not yet in my bank account. Later that night on XX/XX/XXXX, my direct deposit hit from my job so I reprocessed the payment with Capital One. The payment posted on XX/XX/XXXX in the full amount of {$330.00}. I then called to see why my credit was not yet available and was told my account was closed. I asked why and the agent said due to too many returned payments. I feel that the first returned payment was all there fault because they had me thinking it was all taken care of. I cried, begged and pleaded with them to reopen my account but they told me they could not do so. I then was notified by my bank that they took the {$330.00} out on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX EST so I called to be sure it was nothing they can do to reopen the account since they did actually received the funds and my account was paid off in full. They then said my account was open and in good standing but they needed to call my bank to verify that the funds were drafted out. We called my bank on a conference call and the bank verified that they did take the payment. The agent then said that he was going to take my payment off the hold and that I can go back to using my Capital One credit card. I then logged into my Capital One account and was notified that my card had some restrictions on it so I called again. I was told that the account was again closed. I asked why and now no one is giving me any reason. They took my money and closed my account for something they did. I did absolutely nothing wrong.
