Complaint: My Capital One card I opened is a XXXX XXXX card, which promises 3 % back at Entertainment venues such as theme and amusement parks, bowling allies, movie theaters, etc. I specifically opened this card with the premise of going to XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX, in XXXX Florida. There all are attractions that should fit the perpetrators of the card to receive 3 % cash back. When I returned I found that {$300.00} in charges were incorrectly given 1 % cash back. I called and filed an escalation to get the reward points I rightfully earned. The meat of my concern comes in when today XX/XX/XXXX when I received a phone call from Capital One indicating we were on a recorded line. The representative was named XXXX his rep ID was XXXX at XXXX central time. He called to inform the of 2 things. First, they would not be able to instate the rewards I had earned as they felt 1 % was correct. Secondly, he indicated that he would issue me a {$6.00} statement credit. I asked for a confirmation number, email, letter, or something to assure me that promised credit was valid. He informed me that he could not do anything but give me his word that he would issue a {$6.00} credit. I asked him if I could record the phone call. He came back and stated that company policy prohibits recording of the phone call. I acknowledged this and asked him for his rep name and ID as stated above. He assured me that they typically do not honor requests of credits and that this was a one time courtesy. He said that the credit would appear on my account in 1-2 business days. I called back later this same day to make sure the memos were on the account as the recorded phone call went down, and the next supervisor was unable to corroborate what went down. I was livid. This was the entire reason I asked for proof. I felt something was off and that although on the recorded line he promised me a {$6.00} account credit, I felt he wasn't going to honor it. I asked the manager, XXXX rep ID XXXX, to pull the recorded phone call. She said that she could not pull the phone call and he could not honor the credits he had promised. Capital One refused to honor the credits agreed upon on a recorded line. Capital One refused to pull that call to verify the facts. The benefit of a recording is you don't have to believe either side, you have the recording of the facts. I want Capital One to pull the outbound phone call to me by XXXX. Here not only where he said they would not give me the rewards balance, but here where he said they would be issuing me a credit of {$6.00}. Here where he said it would be posted to my account. Here where I asked for any form of confirmation that it would be posted to my account.

Complaint: I applied for a Capital One Quick Silver credit card and it was approved on XX/XX/2019. I got my card after few days in the mail and when I tried to activate it on my phone, I could not. So I called Capital One customer care and thats when I was told that my account has been flagged or restricted for activation and will be activated if I provide them with further evidence like my license, checkings or savings bank statement and a signed copy of my SSN. Thats when they emailed me a secured link and I uploaded the documents in those link and was told that the documents will be processed in 7 to 10 business days. Today when I called them back to check on them, I was told that I have to stay on the line with them till they reach out to my bank to verify my address and I was put on conference with my banks customer care and the lady on the line with me was asking me to punch in all my bank details while she is on line. So basically they are trying to access my bank account, since they could not verify my bank statement on their own. Thats when I refused to do that and questioned that lady on the line that it is her responsibility/job to verify my bank statement. She then mentioned that I agreed to the terms and conditions and this clause is one of them. Thats when I asked her where can I find the terms and conditions, she replied that I could find it online and refused to email me them. At this point I hung up the call and decided to place a complaint. I will explain my situation now, I found this credit card has good rewards and I went ahead, applied and got approved. When I got approved there was no mention of any further evidence required or any query for my approval, which I was not aware till I called my card 's customer care. Now I am cornered by them to provide with further evidence ( Which I absolutely have no problem with ), I do not have a choice of not sending them any way because a hard enquiry has already been done on the credit and it will definitely effect my credit score. I may not have applied for this card, if this requisition of additional documents is mentioned or addressed during the application process. This is clear case of misleading the customers and forcing them to provide the docs after conducting a hard enquiry on their credit. By the way I already have a different open credit card account with them I wish somebody could help my situation.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 I signed up for a Capital One Savor One card, with an offer on the Capital One website for a {$500.00} bonus when you spend {$3000.00} within the first 3 months. I did spend over {$3000.00} in that time, and have been waiting for a notification that my bonus has been applied. It has now been 5 months so I called Capital One to ask about the bonus. They stated that a Savor One card offers only a {$150.00} bonus which had been added to my rewards balance, and that I must have been confusing the offer with the Savor card which offers a {$500.00} bonus. After researching the issue it was brought to my attention that there was an apparent " glitch '' in Capital One 's website offering the {$500.00} bonus for the Savor One card which I applied for. Capital One sent out emails to customers stating that they would be honoring the {$500.00} reward for customers affected by the glitch. I never received this email or the full bonus. I called Capital One again and they said again that I must have been confused with the Savor card, and that there was no such advertisement for the Savor One card, and have refused to honor the {$500.00} offer.

When instructed to contact the creditor, underneath says Capital one auto finance, says the inquiry was made XX/XX/XXXX and THATS absolutely false. I was also notified that XXXX had a massive leak of information and that my password was involved.. theres been two data breaches where my information has been involved. I dont know how this inquiry happened but I didnt make it and its gon na stay on my credit report until XXXX of XXXX so Id really like it taken off..

Complaint: I received a letter from Capital One on XX/XX/19 stating they rebill the charge in amount of XXXX that XXXX XXXX XXXX charged on my card for the uniform my son never received. Nn XX/XX/19, I faxed the evidences such as screenshots of my conversation with the owner via texts. I followed up on XX/XX/19 to see if they have received and they haven't. I faxed it again and still haven't received it. I asked for a link to upload the documents. They sent me email to upload the documents. I followed up again and they stated they denied my claim because they dont accepted screenshots. I spoke with the supervisor and the supervisor encouraged me to write a progressive letter explaining what happened. I did and upload on the same day. I provided an explanation of how my conversation with the owner changed from email to texts and that my only communication with the owner is by texts because its easier for us and that I am XXXX. I also provided to support my explanation. In the text, the owner did stated he would refund me for the basketball uniform my son never received. I followed up the next day on XX/XX/19 and they told me they denied my dispute claim. I am upset about it.

Complaint: In Capital One 's response dated XX/XX/XXXX, the company stated that they have verified the account by basically providing my personal information as verification. The company further claimed that because the account was opened online then they have no record of the signature. This is both invasive and frightening. The company should have had signature regardless of where the account was opened. Providing my personal information as proof that I was the one who opened the account is farcical as it is ridiculous. Identify thief happens everyday and if all the company needs to prove that it's a valid application is the person 's information is a ridiculous and dangerous assertion. The FDRA clearing states that the company MUST provide a copy of the application with my signature on it to prove origin and ownership of the account otherwise the account MUST be removed from my credit report immediately. Furthermore the company chronicled the account being opened on XX/XX/XXXX and sold to XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Yet XXXX lists the account as being opened on XX/XX/XXXX even though that account had been in existence for almost two years prior. The fact that XXXX has posted erroneous information regarding the origins of this account means that this account MUST be deleted IMMEDIATELY from my credit report. It must also be noted that in the letter forwarded by the companies Capital One and XXXX deliberately withheld information regarding the amount that the account was sold to XXXX XXXX XXXX for. That information is important because if Capital One were paid an amount for the account. That amount should be subtracted from the amount that XXXX is claiming to be owed. The fact that XXXX is claiming the original amount owed but yet refused to provide proof of that amount is sufficient reason to question the balance being claimed and hence that inaccuracy is grounds for the account to be deleted from by credit report immediately. I remain committed to pursuing monetary compensation from all the companies involved with respect to the negligence shown in responding in an prompted manner, the blatant disregard for good faith due diligence and the continued stonewalling while my credit continues to suffer.

Complaint: XX/XX/2019 I ordered a credit card from Capital One on or about XX/XX/2019. At the time I ordered the card I informed the customer service agent that I receive my Social Security check on the XXXX Wednesday of the month and I need to receive a hard copy of their bill prior to that date so that I may make a timely payment. I specifically requested a change of my billing date so that I would not receive late charges. I was informed that the change would be made within the next one or two billing cycles. Since that time the change was not made and I made six additional calls ( once a month ) trying to confirm the change was made. Each time the rep initiated a new order to make the change because it was not made. On the last two occasions I spoke to the customer service supervisor who affirmed the change was made. The last occasion was today when I spoke with XXXX # XXXX. She indicated there was no record on my account of any changes were ever ordered. That was surprising because the previous Supervisor who identified himself as XXXX had personally promised me that the change would be made. In the meantime, I have been paying a substantial amount on my bill right when I get my direct deposit at the end of each month. Even so, I am being charged a {$30.00} late fee for the last two months because their payment date has not been changed. Their response despite their neglect and indifference to my request is to say pay on your bill prior to the late date. Capital One policies are so inflexible that they refuse to waive more than one late charge regardless of when I receive my funds or their culpability. Capital one also does not have any method for filing a complaint about their methods. Capital One clearly discriminates against the elderly and fixed income people similarly placed as myself. I believe Capital One has treated me unfairly and lied to me multiple times about changing my due date. I request your organization investigate the matter and order Capital One to accept responsibility for their misconduct, refund my unwarranted late fees, and change their policies to account for the special circumstances of elderly and fixed income people. This company lies to its customers, does not document their actions, and is indifferent to the complaints of its customers. It should not be allowed to operate in such a manner.
