Complaint: I have just received a response from Capital One regarding an alleged account ending in XXXX ( CFPB Complaint Number XXXX ), wherein Capital One has claimed I still owe a balance and has ignored my demands to see the contract I signed to open such account. I will be clear in stating I have never opened an account with Capital One, any account, as I never sign contracts of a financial nature, and of the nature Capital One alleges I have done. I did receive Capital One 's " Fraud Affidavits ''. And as I have told the Capital One representative when I called in to speak about this alleged account regarding this, I am not the party needing to provide proof here. I do not contract online, so I am demanding proof and to be able to view the contract, with my signature thereon, agreeing to this contract Capital One alleges I have opened. I will not fill out paperwork giving up my personal, sensitive information and identification. Capital One is in no place to make demands from a contract that is void ab initio. Show me said proof of this debt, or there is no such debt.

Complaint: Called Capital One in XXXX of 2019, to discuss my payment. I was informed by a representative to pay a certain amount amount. When I paid that amount. Its was not enough when informed by another representative. I was then reported 30 days late to the credit bureau. Capital One was very rude to me when I called them directly. They stated that they had listened to the recorded call but the representative contradicted herself when led me to believe that no one had listened to the call. Im currently unemployed and before XXXX, I contacted Capital One to discuss options for my payment. They had no good options for their customers other than waiving a monthly late fee.

Complaint: I had made a payment on XX/XX/XXXX. I have no late payments with this company ever, or any for that matter. The payment was not processed through my bank because the bank had made some adjustments. I did not receive any correspondence from Capital One until I got a credit alert advising me that I had a 30 day late payment tacked to my credit history reports. I immediately logged on to capital one to see it. I called them rectified the payment. I requested that they show me current when they report it to the bureau next. I was told by the senior manager XXXX, they do not do that at Capital One. He advised they did reach out by sending me a physical letter on the XXXX of XXXX, which clearly would not arrive in time for me to have made any changes. This company is pathetic, and that is why they have lost my business. This should not be an issue.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX a very detailed letter was sent to this original creditor Capital One Bank, asking them to fix the misleading, erroneously reporting, slanderous credit reporting, The letter expressed, that I was looking for this Information to be updated and corrected as it is hindering my credit score. The letter sent that was sent was AFTER Capital One Bank had verified their alleged reporting to be accurate and TRUE. The response from Capital One Bank dated XX/XX/XXXX did not only address anything I had stated in such detail but they completely ignored the mis reporting ( s ) and proceeded to say " the late payments that were reported in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX were accurate. What about all the other months that were reported as onetime to one CRA but not the other three? As the original creditor, as a financial institution, I would expect their reporting to the CRA 's to be accurate and the notified of misreporting for it to be addressed as such. Also, they would've retained impeccable records and provided them upon request. Copies of statements DOES NOT services as ANY form of validation.

Complaint: I am sick and tired of being called " Invalid '' when I am telling the truth and they are breaking the law. It is an insult to be called " invalid ''. Apparently when you ( me ) have all the documentation that you are telling the truth and you have been wronged ( and you sent it on to these " people '' on more than one occasion ) you are " INVALID ''. 2nd letter from these " People '' today a complete rerun of the letter sent to me dated XX/XX/XXXX, once again calling me " INVALID '' I am NOT CALLING YOU and you are NOT TO CALL ME. This can be taken care of IN WRITING. I have asked them to send me a offer in writing that would resolve this issue and it hasn't seemed to compute with them. I have gotten no offer in writing, and I have not gotten any verifying information that THEY promised to send me in their first letter dated XX/XX/XXXX. All I get is the same letter over again that says I am " INVALID ''. They already judged me, discriminated against me, and developed complete bias against me even before the letter I sent them disputing the amount. They show no interest in making things better and they have already decided that I am a XXXX. Nothing I say ( all the truth ) makes no difference with them. I truly believe that they never read anything I write or look at any of the proof I sent them. They are totally and completely discriminating against me. It does no good to send them any of my proof because they are discriminating against me. I want this resolved and these people and their sticky fingers out of my personal information, my credit, and my life. Send me an offer IN WRITING ASAP that will resolve this issue permanently.

Complaint: I opened a secured credit card with Capital One Bank in the beginning of 2019. The XXXX company made a mistake and reported it as fraud ... Capital one closed my account. After weeks of speaking to XXXX in credit bureaus disputes at Capital One XXXX direct extension XXXX she had me send identity papers and bank papers etc she rec 'd this info on XX/XX/2019. at which point she assured me they would re-open my account .... months went by never happened! I spoke with her again in XXXX she told me it could not be done but I would get my {$99.00} deposit back, but I HAD to file a complaint with my bank???? made no sense! I did however do it they gave me a provisional {$99.00} till investigation .... well today they reversed the credit saying it was processed correctly. WTH!!! then I got a check from Capital One for {$0.00} stating it was a credit balance refund. I never got my {$99.00} back I have left several messages to XXXX NO RESPONSE I want my security deposit back!

I have collaborated with dedicating time to discuss with several parties, including, presenting my concerns to XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX XXXX. It has been a prolonged time without an appropriate response and continuing to experience poor practice from the business that disregard my financial and business needs. I am awaiting for Capital One Financial Corporation to rendered the monies for credits and for the security deposit towards the secured credit line in the form of a check or a deposit to my account on file. I am not in understanding as to what has prompted the business to remain in possession of these monies after I have requested for account closure in demonstration against the malpractice and the abuse of their account specialist when presenting my concerns.

Complaint: Cabela 's Club MasterCard World Elite Black card issued by Capital One was abruptly cancelled without notice due to an error of reported Fraud. Issue dates back to XX/XX/2019 when Capital One informed me that someone was trying to open a new account using my confidential personal information. Identity theft reports were filed as instructed by Capital One and all credit agencies were notified. Account was mistakenly tagged as fraudulent, cancelled without notice and {$870.00} in redeemable bonus points was removed from my account. XXXX notified Capital One that the Fraudulent report was in error. After repeated attempts ( a minimum of 15 calls, a visit to the nearest Cabela 's store, numerous hours and 4 months of effort ) to resolve the issue Capital One said there is nothing they can do to correct the error even though the credit card balance is fully paid. Capital One 's final decision was to delete my account and not refund the {$870.00} in bonus points even though they recognize the entire incident was an error. Capital One said it was an " Administrative '' decision and they did not feel that it was an appropriate decision. I asked to speak with the " Administrator '' that was involved in the decision and was told Capital One Administrators are not allowed to speak to customers. Details are provided in the attachments.

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: I'm in the XXXX and going to be XXXX to XXXX for 9 months, so I set up auto payments for my capital one credit card. I never got a phone call from the credit card company to tell me anything was wrong afterward. Until I received notice that I missed a Payment from XXXX XXXX. The payment was only {$25.00}. But now has lowered my credit score by 177 points! I called capital one and talked to a supervisor, even paid my balance in full, he continued to tell me he wouldn't change the missed payment, and that it was my fault I didn't follow up on the auto pay I set up with their company. I have never missed any payments on anything since I started building credit. I fell like I did my do diligence by setting up the auto pay, if the company had a problem with it, they should have contacted me BEFORE destroying my good credit status. I would like your assistance in a fair resolution in this matter.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent, via certified mail, a letter to Capital One disputing inaccurate information on my credit report. In my letter I detailed the issue and provided proof of my credit report showing their mistake. My dispute with Capital One is as follows : I had an old credit card that was closed due to non-payment back in XX/XX/XXXX. This card shows on my credit report as a negative against my score. ( This is accurate ) I made an agreement with a Capital One rep to open a new card and allow me to pay off the balance of the closed account. In XX/XX/XXXX, I was given a new card and the balance of my old card had been transferred over. My new card has been paid on time ever since, no issues there. The problem exists in the reporting. My old card shows as a negative closed account with the months for nonpayment. ( Accurate ) My new card shows as if it was open since XXXX, when it was open in XX/XX/XXXX. ( They are reusing the date of the old card ) My new card also shows the old nonpayments on it. ( Has never been late or missed ) Capital One is reporting one negative account twice. They are double reporting the same months of one account in both the old card and the new card. Today, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I received a generic Capital One letter dated XXXX XXXX, XXXX, stating that they are unable to change their reporting on a courtesy basis. ( This is not a courtesy. This is inaccurate ) The letter does not provide any explanation. I called Capital One and spoke to two reps and a supervisor. They all stated that they can not view any details on the case and that there is no one I can speak to because the dept that handles these claims is a back office.
