Complaint: I have applied for a Credit Limit Increase 9 times, since I have been a customer of Capital One. Every time I have been denied. I requested an increase and been denied, when my credit score has improved tremendously compared to my scores when I was originally approved. I have compared my situation with other personal friends, and feel that I am a victim of Credit Discrimination. I have called Customer Service and asked to speak to the Credit Department, and was told that was not possible. I spoke to a Senior Representative instead. Although the Representative did understand my frustration, I was still told that there was no way to talk to the department who handles this issue. I believe that my payment history warrants an overdue credit limit Increase, as well as my credit score.

I never received a notice and they are not even reporting a date for the late to my credit, just that I have one. This is erroneous and needs to be removed.

The bank has confirmed that it was deposited to account ending XXXX on XX/XX/2019 which is listed as a Capital One Account. The funds were taken from my account but after calling Capital One several times they can not find the money, there is not account of the payment and they are still attempted to collect and repo the car. There should not be any threatening communication when it has been made clear that there is an error on the Capital One Side.

Complaint: In XXXX I payed my statement balance on XXXX which was normal and no problems at that time then on XXXX I payed the balance again because I was going out of town and wanted to stay ahead of the game. Later on in the month of XX/XX/XXXX my card was declined so I call Capitol One to inquire as to why the charges would not go through well after an hour of XXXX about fraud they said my card payment was past due so I explained how I had payed the balance twice in XX/XX/XXXX and that it was a 30 day revolving card. Well come to find out my statement had not cycled until XX/XX/XXXX and there were a total changes of XXXX that had come through on the XX/XX/XXXX so my account was past due. I have been a customer for 17 years and have always payed my bill on time. They charged me XXXX in intrest on XXXX and the account should have never been classified as past due! This is hwy robbery and poor business practice at the very least all attempts to resolve have failed the people I talked to have such heavy accents they were very difficult to understand as well. I will be shutting down my card as soon as i can use my XXXX points. Given the fact this Bank is responsible for the largest data breach ever it is apparent that they are crooks as well.It is time large banks such as Capitol One be held responsible for there poor business practices and I hope this complaint starts the process. This is totally unbelievable. Thank You XXXX XXXX

Problem with customer service
Complaint: Earlier this year I requested a replacement card as mine was worn and coming apart. Capital One sent a replacement card, but it was identical to my current card ( account number, expiration, cvv ) and active while in the mail. The card even had a sticker that stated the card is active and you do not need to do anything. Although convenient this is very lax in security to mail an active card out. A few weeks ago I logged onto the mobile app and when I touched the button to go into the account it said my card was activated. After digging a little deeper I see that a new card was sent for the one I requested earlier this year as it is expiring. I sent an email to the CEO advising that I was not happy with their security measures as with the data breach that occurred, mailing active cards in the mail to customers and now the mobile app activating cards I have not received as the button is overlaid on the account when you login that they should review. I also called on XX/XX/2019 and spoke to XXXX to see when the new card was mailed and told it went out on XX/XX/2019. After waiting a few days and not receiving I called on XXXX and spoke with XXXX and was told the card was " processed '' on XX/XX/2019. It was unclear what " processed '' meant. After the call I received an automated email from Capital One stating my card is going to expire and a new card was sent to replace it that I would receive by XX/XX/2019. It would appear that the agents on the phone do not have a clue what is going on. On XX/XX/2019 I received a call from the Presidential/Executive Correspondence group in relation to my email and spoke with XXXX. The agent was very rude and had a horrible attitude. I was basically told that the reason the button to activate the card was overlaid on the account button was because of the display settings of my phone. Which is XXXX as I am very tech savvy and have used this app forever and never changed anything on the app or my phone. After calling the agent on her attitude she said she would respond in writing. Maybe that response will be attitude free. I did not ask them for anything ( compensation or otherwise ). I simply advised them that as a customer I am very displeased with their focus on customer account security. Also maybe they should find better representatives for the Presidential units. Given that I work for a large financial institution in compliance and have for 20 years I know what good customer service looks like and what security should look like. Capital One has exhibited neither. I also understand that the Presidential/Executive Correspondence Groups in the bank are set up to respond to inquires made to top executives and from regulators, but are made up of low level staff that have little or no authority to really do anything other than respond.

Complaint: Purchased a XXXX product online through a Capital One Visa card for XXXX, was charged XXXX and XXXX. ( for some reason, these charges show up on different days - XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX ) I called to dispute the XXXX as never being authorized, credit card issued refund then 2 months later charged it back again claiming they'd sent forms ( they did not send forms ) and that XXXX says the charges are legit so end of story. XXXX has shut down the software i purchased on top of this, so now i've been charged XXXX and XXXX, the XXXX was never authorized and i have no product for any of these payments. I have an XXXX credit score, i make {$200000.00} a year, i pay off this credit card balance every month in the range of $ 2000- {$5000.00} a month, i'm hardly likely to try to steal software from XXXX in the first place, and in the second they've both kept money they never should have taken on top of the {$69.00} that was authorized AND shut off the product.
