Complaint: After doing several disputes with XXXX, and XXXX. I am still not getting the investigation that I asked for. By the credit bureaus not doing the investigation it is allowing negative remarks on my credit report. Enclose is the information that I sent to all of the Bureaus and the Creditor asking for validation. The information was completely ignored from creditor Capital One. Both XXXX and XXXX failed to do an investigation before reporting false information. Capital One failed to respond several letters. The Reporting address on file is not and never was my address.XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Kentucky XXXX. Capital One Never has sent any documents bearing my signature.

Complaint: I disputed the account in the amount of {$1300.00} that I do not owe and I received a tuped copy and not a bill. Not a contract with my signature, social security or identification attached. Now in their letter they said this is accurate proof which is a lie. In my validation letter I asked the following : 1. Assignment clause 2. Signed contract with social 3. Copy of charges or statements and/or copy of whatever you have to prove this is 100 % accurate. None of this was submitted so they failed to prove 100 % accurate as per fair credit act.

Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2019, my wife was involved in an elaborate scam that requested she purchase gift cards for the XXXX XXXX and Walmart to catch a " credit card '' scammer. The XXXX logo and website were a part of all the e-mails she received as well as an " XXXX '' representative when she called. The representative said that " if she purchased gift cards they would be able to track the person trying to " Steal Money '' from my wife and others. The XXXX Representative said the money would be refunded at the end of the day. My XXXX XXXX card company called me ( wife and I are on the same account ) and I denied the charges. My wife then called Capital One and XXXX XXXX XXXX ( 2 other credit cards ) immediately after I told her it had to be a scam. She then filed a police report with the XXXX, CT police department of which we have a copy. XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX have taken the charges off of our respective bills. Capital One is reapplying the charge of {$1500.00} this month to our bill. This is after two divisions of their company have investigated the charge. Their claim is that they have " no rights '' regarding the charge. Their claim is that she said she made the charge ( hoping to protect herself and others from a scam artist ) .. My understanding from them is that if she had said she didn't make the charge ( lied ) it would have been declared fraudulent and all would be resolved. After the company said they were reapplying the charge and that I could not speak with a company representative higher than who I was speaking with, I called the XXXX police department and the officer who created the report graciously called the credit card company and spoke with someone in the law enforcement division who was unhelpful. He wrote an addendum to his original report which my wife and I also have. I can supply all the different claim numbers and even the credentials of the last representative that I spoke with regarding the {$1500.00} charge. {$1500.00} is a lot of money and the claim can truly not be investigated as the XXXX XXXX store that the {$1500.00} gift card was supposed to be taken from did not exist ( it was the " scammer '' ). We can not afford to pay {$1500.00} that we did not receive anything for. The fraud/scam was reported immediately to both the credit card company and the police. I would like to resolve this without taking any legal action. Would CFPB be able to help resolve this issue with Capital One?

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, a payment to a CapitalOne Credit Card was submitted late. At the time of that my APR was 23.24 % and the card balance was {$15000.00}. Since then, CapitalOne - without any notice - increased my APR to 31.65 % and applied this new APR to the entire balance that was there prior to the increase. That is a direct violation of the Credit Card Act of 2009, as creditors CAN NOT increase APR without first providing written notice of it, and this new APR can only be applicable to any new purchases since the date of the increase. Lastly, an account must be delinquent for over 60 days for a creditor to be able to increase APR on said account. I have tried to resolve this issue directly with the creditor since, however to no avail.

But, I received the denial letter. I paid the car note then we experienced another hardship due to Hurricane Barry. I requested another modification on XX/XX/XXXX and the papers were emailed on the same day. I had until XX/XX/2019 to submit the information. On XXXX the XXXX the car was repossessed during the night like I was a fugitive on the run. Now that the car has been repossessed and sold, I'm being offered a repayment plan.

There was 3 credit card accounts opened without authorization from XXXX XXXX. When I moved back in my primary residence, this is when I found out about the accounts by letters that was being sent. I disputed the information with the credit bureaus and sent along a police report. I did received another letter stating no fraud was found and basically that was it.
