Complaint: XXXX/XXXX Capital One Statement balance is XXXX XX/XX/2018 I took part in a Capital One Promotion to transfer a balance from a credit card to Capital One ( no transfer fees ). I wrote a check for {$8000.00}. XX/XX/XXXX, I paid my previous statement balance ON TIME and in FULL XXXX XXXX/XXXX statement shows charge of XXXX ( transfer ), regular charge of {$39.00}, and interest of XXXX. Total statement balance XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Paid FULL and ON TIME amount XXXX XXXX/XXXX statement and payment XXXX had an XXXX credit of XXXX and regular charges of XXXX. PLUS interest charges of XXXX. I called to explain that I wasn't subject to interest because I had paid balance in full. They explained that they apply the payment to higher interest rate items first. However, they are including the new purchases as 'higher interest rate ' when, in fact a new purchase is 'no interest ' if it is paid in full before the 30 days. So I continue to have a balance on this 'low interest rate ' transfer even though I continue to pay my bill in full. THIS IS ILLEGAL!

Complaint: I paid my capital one cc ending in XXXX on XX/XX/18 the date it was due before XXXX I was charged a late Fee of {$25.00} for late payment after XXXX XXXX even though I paid on time!!! I paid other capital one cards the same day same time and had no problem I am ell aware of the cut off time I asked two different reps To overturn the late fee, and they would not do it. This late fee is hurting me, as it is as much as my monthly payment! Please help

Complaint: Long story short, XXXX, bank was hacked. Did what I read to do. 2 1 $ transactions already went through. Card was Blocked XX/XX/XXXX I believe, was told I would get card 2-3 business days, Therefore I took out enough for them days. The 2-3 days came and went, I needed money for myself and my 2 dogs ; There were no Capital One bank near me. So after that I called to say I didnt receive my card. So XXXX had to re order, i cryed torrent I have no-money and Im starving along with my dogs. ; bills were still able to be paid still ) XXXX said if I want card sooner it will be {$25.00}!!! I arqued but was out of my hands. The next day I checked my balance and there were 2 charges for Fed X expidite card charges : TWO. So every day Im calling, 2 mgrs said I should not have been charged at all, and {$50.00} should be refunded in 2-3 days. By this time I have talked to 5 people and 3 mgrs total. It is XX/XX/2018 still nothing. So now I have to pay my daughter back XXXX Im on Social Security XXXX, and I have been totally disregarded! Sent from XXXX

Complaint: Greetings, I opened my first credit card with Capitalone in XXXX. They closed my credit card in XXXX without any clarifications. With 100s call and emails, they recommended me to open a new credit card. I opened my new credit card in XX/XX/XXXX and they closed that within a few weeks. They keep sending me many promotional offers. Again, I opened my new credit card in XX/XX/XXXX, and they again closed my credit. Capital one is ruining my credit score. I do not understand why they closing my credit card. Why they send me promotions if they want to close it. I want justification. I need an exact reason. In my entire life, I never did any late payments. My credit score is excellent ( more than 750 ). I have no bad credit history. No one can find even a single instance which is linked to my bad credit history. I want exact clarification. Why capitalone keep closing my credit card. I also want Capital one to provide the member benefits which was part of the card during my credit card opening. I opened this credit card because they sent me promotional.

Complaint: Sometime between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I had a issue with receiving my mail and ultimately missed a payment and contacted Kohl 's Credit to address the issue. In an effort to avoid late payments, I switched my account to paperless and set up electronic notifications which I don't receive ( throwing my hands up ). Of recent, on XX/XX/XXXX to be exact, I had sought an interest in purchasing a home only to find out that the late payment/dispute is still showing on my credit reports and affecting my credit score. On, XX/XX/XXXX, I phoned Kohl 's only to be informed that the resolution letter was sent back in XX/XX/XXXX, however, I have never received that letter, This is why I changed my account to paperless billing for the same reason and requested the original XX/XX/XXXX dispute. I asked if I could get a copy of that letter and was told that I could not receive a email copy and its only paper mail. I again challenged that information in asking that the late payment /dispute be removed and was told that the case would be re-opened and I would receive a letter from Kohl 's regarding my current request to investigate the old dispute of XX/XX/XXXX. The insane part is that I was actually told that it would be removed. Since XX/XX/XXXX and only a few days after, Kohl 's increased my credit limit from {$700.00} to {$1500.00}. It is apparent that they must find me a loyal customer and that I pay my account timely. More importantly, my home approval letter is on hold pending Kohl final resolution. Thank you

Complaint: I have a business checking account as well as a personal checking account with Capital One Bank. In the past, I was able to transfer funds from my business to checking account to pay my personal bills and etc. Capital One has recently updated their website and they are now telling me that I can not make transfers or pay myself from my business account. They are MISLEADINGLY referring that to IRS tax policies. I am have asked them to review my past transactions where clearly shows these types of withdrawals. In addition, my business saving account has interest payment IRS tax withholdings. I have patiently worked with Capital One to correct my Federal Tax ID number which was mistakenly typed wrong by them. This has been going on for more than a year now. I have sent them several completed XXXX forms and each time they have failed to correct that in my account. The whole process is very frustrating especially when Capital One is treating their 360 Checking account differently than other personal checking accounts. The only choice for me is to cancel my account and go to another bank. This process will be very time consuming and costly as all my vendors are automatically set to be paid ( ACH ) from this account. The whole issue has occurred since Capital One has updated their site and it has nothing to do with IRS policies. I would appreciate it if you can help.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 a charge for {$680.00} posted to my account from XXXX XXXX XXXX. The amount was for an estimate I received for work. I have used this vendor in the past, so my CC information was available to them and they billed me in advance without my permission. When the actual work was completed I paid XXXX grounds with a money order. A copy of which I provided to the credit card company at their request but I still do not understand how that was germane to my complaint. When I noticed the charge on my account, I contacted XXXX and requested a refund. XXXX refused my request and offered a credit towards future work. I declined as I did not want to utilize them again since they took liberties to bill my credit card without my permission. I called my credit card company and reported the fraudulent charge. I reported that I did not authorize the charge. My credit card has a chip embedded and the charge was not process by the chip, the magnetic swipe nor does the merchant have a signature on file verifying I authorized the transaction. I have made numerous attempts with my credit card company to have this fraudulent charge removed from my account without success

Complaint: I am a victim of Identity theft, someone earlier had opened a store credit card in my first name and my ex-husbnad 's last name. That name is not my legal name. A dispute was filed, complaints were mad to FTC, the clothing retailer the bank that handles their card. I received a letter in the mail on Thursday XX/XX/XXXX that someone tried to apply for a XXXX XXXX clothing company store credit card in that same name. The bank that handles their store credit card is Capital One. Of course, by security freezes and fraud alerts have been placed with the credit repoting agencies. So capital one has denied the application. I would like Capital One and XXXX XXXX to furnish me with information pertaining to the person who applied for this credit card in my first name and my ex-husband 's last name. The credit agency that handled this inquiry was XXXX.

Creditor Name : Capital One Inquiry Date : XX/XX/2018 Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, your action constitutes a violation on my rights, which is illegal and causing severe damage to my credit rating. Failure to positively verify these accounts will eventually hurt my ability to obtain credit as such I am now formally asking that inquiry be removed immediately. Explanation : I would like to be provided proof I consented to this inquiry via FCRA section 609 and 605 as well as the accuracy of this inquiry via FCRA section 623. If you have no proof immediately of any or one, I would like it removed immediately.
