Complaint: The reason for my writing Is that Capital one is being unreasonable. I had a XXXX on XX/XX/2017. This XXXX incapacitated me for a whole month while recovering to my normal state, as a result, I fell behind on that month, monthly payment. I took the liberty to write to capital one to inform them of my medical condition. They requested that I send them proof of my hospitalization which I did attach a medical certificate as proof and my bank statements ending XX/XX/2017, which shows a balance of {$1500.00} in my bank account showing I had enough money on my accounts to make the {$27.00} payment which was past due were it not for the medical condition. Even Capital one knows my income is over {$400000.00} a year. As a result, I have no reason for me to fall behind if he was physically able to make the payment. But to my surprise, Capital one refused to remove the late payment history of the time I was down due to the medical condition which was 100 % not my intention or doing to be late. I have always had a good reputation with this company, I have attached the letters I sent to capital one for review.

Complaint: I sent four letters dated XX/XX/18 to Capital One disputing late payments and the accuracy of those late payments on four accounts. I was very detailed in my letters which stated the following " I am requesting validation, made pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, along with the corresponding local state laws. Please note that I am requesting validation ; that is competent evidence bearing my signature, showing the account is being reported ''. I received four letters from Capital One stating that the accounts were reporting correctly, information on when I applied for the accounts, and placed a disagreement code with a resolution of dispute on my credit reports. After I received the letters from Capital One, I pulled my credit report from XXXX dated XX/XX/18. According to the FRCA section 623 ( a ) ( 3 ), a data furnisher is supposed to contact the credit bureaus on behalf of the customer any time a customer questions a line item that is reported on a credit report, and mark the item as being disputed within 30 days. These accounts were not marked in dispute. I received letter from Capital one dated XX/XX/18 stating again that these accounts had been properly validated. I sent another letter dated XX/XX/18 to Capital One detailing that they had not provided proper validation of reporting late payments and requested the late payments be removed. I received letters from Capital One dated XX/XX/18 and XX/XX/18 stating they had completed their investigation and the accounts were reporting correctly. I pulled my Experian report again on XX/XX/18 and these accounts had been marked " Account was in dispute-now resolved-reported by subscriber ''. I also sent letters to XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX disputing the late payments of these accounts dated XX/XX/18 and all three credit bureaus reported the late payments were valid, and marked my accounts " Account was in dispute-now resolved-reported by subscriber ''. Capital One has violated section 623 ( a ) ( 3 ) of the FCRA by not providing validation and not marking my accounts in dispute within 30 days. Please see attachments for all correspondence regarding this matter.

Complaint: Capital One Bank closed my savings account without my consent and without any notice plus I did not get my funds from my account. I have emailed, called and sent XXXX to their Customer Service XXXX profile @ XXXX and they will not reopen my account and restore my funds and history for that account. I have opened another complaint about this issue XXXX-XXXX and Capital One Representative XXXX XXXX would not restore my savings account or funds. The reason I am opening this complaint is because my issue is never escalated to any other employee but XXXX XXXX. She must have noted in my account to forward all my complaints to her because Capital One has thousands of employees and every complaint or call I make regarding this account, it is ALWAYS forwarded to her. I am requesting escalation of my complaint to be reviewed by XXXX XXXX 's Management. My savings account should have never been closed without any notice. I was receiving my account mailings from Capital One and this was handled very underhanded and corruptly plus XXXX XXXX is making sure that no one in Capital One 's Leadership is aware of what she has done to my account. Please assist me getting my savings account restored. Thank-you

Complaint: My identity was stolen around XXXX 2018. I contacted the banks fraud department to inform them I did not open a credit card with them. I have contacted several other banks to inform them I never opened accounts and cards with them. They all removed the accounts from my credit report. However, Capital One Bank has not removed the account from my credit. I contacted Capital One in XX/XX/2018 and they have not removed it.

Complaint: I received a notification that there was an inquiry from Capital One on my credit report on XX/XX/XXXX. I called Capital One at XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. They confirmed an account was opened with all of my information. They said they filed something with their fraud department and the account would be closed. They said Id receive a letter noting the account was closed and that it would be removed from my credit report within 90 days. I received the card in the mail on XX/XX/XXXX. I called back in on XX/XX/XXXX and the system recognized my account. I went to a supervisor in the fraud area who told me the account wasnt closed on his end and apparently there are multiple systems. I asked for more information like how they applied ( phone or internet or an employee of theirs ) and he said they dont have that. Of course they have that! He was unwilling to provide any information and both people I talked brushed this off like it was nothing. It is something to me! My identity has been stolen! It came across as if it happens all the time and its nothing. The fraud supervisor said there is no way to catch this until the consumer calls in saying it was fraud. Im a XXXX XXXX by trade, and thats ridiculous. There are fraud tools that detect fraudulent emails amongst many other things. There is verification they can do with the credit bureau as far as comparing length of address and employment. There are red flag procedures they should have. When I brought up these things, the supervisor just repeated himself over and over and talked to me like I was clueless. It doesnt appear they are protecting anyone and it appears all that matters is the new card to them at the end of the day.

Complaint: On XX/XX/18 my Husband called me at XXXX ( EST ) and stated Kohl 's was on the other line and stated that I had a payment due. My husband proceeded to tell me the exact amount that was due and even how the bill was sent to me. My husband stated to Kohl 's that he is the only one that pays the bill and that something must be wrong. That is when a rep from Kohl 's advised of the amount to him and that the statement is emailed to XXXX. I hung up with my husband and immediately called Kohl 's as my privacy was violated. I am the ONLY one on the credit card and he has no right to any kind of information on the account. I called Kohl 's at XXXX ( EST ) on XX/XX/18 to address this issue. I was on the phone for 28 minutes. I spoke with " XXXX '' ( employee # XXXX ) who piddled around answering my question as to who is entitled to have information on MY account. She finally stated only I was able to have information. I asked to speak with a manager. I believe someone by the name of " XXXX '' got on the line and I did not trust he was a manager. Finally someone by the name of " XXXX '' ( employee # XXXX ) got on the line. He stated he was the " site manager ''. I explained by story and that I needed this corrected as my privacy was violated by providing out personal information to someone not even titled on the account. I advised I needed a call back with a resolution to this issue and requested a call back by XX/XX/18. I was reassured that I would have a call back. I even verified my cell phone number as the number of contact. I have yet to hear back from Kohl 's in regards to my violation of privacy and failure to protect my information.

Complaint: I've had Capital One Credit since XX/XX/XXXX. It was my first credit card and I was beyond happy that I had gotten approved, being that I was fresh from college. Long story short things happened in my life and I lost track of my payment due date one month in particular, XX/XX/XXXX, after having 8 on time payments, I missed that payment. With everyday life circumstances going on in my life, moving to a different city, life as a young mom it was stressful. However, it's now XX/XX/XXXX and I have NEVER missed another payment with Capital one since, and this one missed payment is having a negative impact on my credit and is causing me to suffer from advancing in my personal goals. I've been so loyal to the company that I applied for another Capital One Journey Credit card and was approved in XX/XX/XXXX, and I've never been behind on my payments. I'm just praying that someone can help me out so that I can further my future for the sake of my family. This issue has been a nightmare to me, because I'm really trying to obtain a high profile job with my degree.
