Complaint: Capital One refusing multiple requests for paper statements & status of claim filed with previous account holder ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Capital One is strong arming me into submitting them copies of drivers license, birth certificate or other copies of sensitive, identifying information. I refused, requested account be closed ( they refuse to confirm whether or not they've closed my account ) & questioned their claims of security due to them possessing the account less than 24 hours. ( I called the day capital one took over XX/XX/XXXX this year ). I will not submit these sensitive documents. I never had an issue when XXXX XXXX XXXX held the account. Regardless, every time I call inquiring about paper statements representatives ( 6+ so far ) keep repeating their demand for these documents & tell me they " will not address ANYTHING regarding account until they receive '' said documents. Total shutdown. I JUST WANT PAPER STATEMENTS, I don't know what my balance is, interest rate or minimum payment due. I JUST WANT MY PAPER STATEMENTS & capital one is refusing.
I didn't ask to be Capital One customer, nor did I agree to their terms. However, denying me paper statements is unethical & irresponsible. Capital One wasn't too worried about security/fraud when they issued me their credit cards & cashing the guestimated checks I've been sending them in the mail. I JUST WANT PAPER STATEMENTS so I can pay them off asap & be done with them.

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX {$0.00} XX/XX/XXXX CHARGE-OFF I contacted Capital One and sent them several letters with police report and have not received a response since. I spoke to their customer service and was kept being transferred over to different departments. This unauthorized fraud account with Capital One is severely effecting my life. I can not get a rent an apartment and I have been rejected from employment because of this. My credit is very good except for this fraud account reporting in credit report. I have disputed it with the credit reporting agencies as well.

Problem with customer service
Complaint: Capital One has failed to provide me with a detailed understanding as to why I have not been given any credit line increases on my credit card accounts with them. I have paid my Quick Silver and Platinum accounts on time each month and have also paid more than the monthly required payments. I have contacted Capital Ones ' CEO and other members of executive management via email numerous times, asking to contact me, in which they have all failed to do so. I have spoken to a few analysts from the executive office and requested the full payment history on both accounts since they have been opened, in which I have not received. I spoke to a manager of one of the analyst and was treated very harshly. In the letters that I have received from Capital One in regards to the credit line increases, the reasons for denials include, " average monthly payment is too low, and recent use of this account 's history is too high. '' All of which is false information, as I have not used the accounts much in the last months and have always paid more than the required monthly payments. I have asked Capital One analysts what are the required monthly payments to receive a credit line increase, in which they have not been able to do so.

Complaint: I have been using XXXX XXXX for years to monitor my credit score and activity. I noticed on XXXX XXXX there was something that should not have been on the my report. XX/XX/XXXX, is when I started my own investigation and notified all three credit bureaus that my computer had been hacked. And I absolutely did not apply for credit from XXXX or Capital One on this day. I recently paid off Capital One and closed the account. Their response is that it takes up to 90 days for it to remove from report, 90 days has passed. Another issue, was with XXXX XXXX XXXX. After repeatedly contacting XXXX directly and indirectly they refused to remove my name from auto, that my father refinanced thru them and bought from me. XXXX did not show no compassion for the lost of my father, they added pain on top up grief. It took me to file complaint with XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Then and only then is when someone from XXXX called on XX/XX/XXXX to apologize for the inconvenience and that my name will get removed immediately from the auto loan. The origin of this story is that my father purchased a car from me XX/XX/XXXX before he passed and I had been fighting ever since, to clear this mess XXXX made DELIBERATELY AND INTENTIONAL, to remove it from my credit report as being joint owner b/c the car was not in my possession. Bad Business. MY FATHER AND I HAVE BEEN LOYAL FAITHFUL CUSTOMERS FOR OVER 25 YEARS and remaining.

Problem getting a working replacement card
Complaint: As usual, Capital One makes sure that their customers are very unhappy. I just called because I am facing hard time resetting my password and all I got was an unprofessional, unethical person who at the very end make sarcastic comment and hung up.
In addition, Capital one has been failing to locate/dispute electronic balance transfer and lies that they spoke to XXXX and it applied to my account when it has not and they have not proven otherwise.

Complaint: I have submitted to capital one credit card a dispute for 2 charges that were charged on my account from XXXX and XXXX XXXX that were billed on XX/XX/2018 and those charges were for XXXX dollars and the case number was XXXX and the other dispute was for XXXX dollars billed on XX/XX/2018 and case number was XXXX and the. Reason I disputedthe charges is because I was charged for parts that the merchant did NOT install in my car and fraudulently charged me for those parts and services that were NOT done on my car and I discovered this after I picked up the car. XXXX and XXXX XXXX lies and did NOT do the job completely and were very unprofessional and NOT honest. They overcharged me by adding charges to the bill for parts and services that were not done to my car. Now capital one Visa card account number ending in XXXX. Capital one refused to refund me the money and asked for opinions of other merchants and things whivpch are impossible for me to get.
I did NOT receive what I paid for and I disputed the charge and I want my money back. But capital one Visa card refuses to listen to me and refuses to resolve the dispute and refuses to refund me the money and they ruled in favor of XXXX and XXXX XXXX In XXXX Alabama and there address is XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX alabama XXXX and phone number XXXX who is a big lier and a scammer. Complaint: I have had a capitol one account for over 20 yrs as a matter of fact I have had 2 capitol one accounts for over 20 yrs. one with a credit line of XXXX and the other with a line of XXXX. I have not missed a payment in that time that I can remember nor does my credit bureau show a payment ever being 30 days past due. yet they claim to have made a business decision to close both accounts. I think they have the right to do that but they will cause harm to me by reporting it to the credit bureau. when I think they closed it because I turn XXXX on XXXX XXXX because I have paid them hundreds of thousand of dollars in the past. yet when I ask to speak to the person in charge they hung the phone up. they say it was being recorded which would be a good thing. I think there is more to this than they are telling me. I will do what ever is necessary to make sure this does not happen to anyone else as a matter it would me nice to know how many card holders they have closed with the payment history like mine.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I received a {$300.00} check from a gentleman for merchandise he bought from me. While the gentleman was in front of me I called his bank to verify that the account was active and the funds were available. XXXX XXXX was the bank that the check was drawn on and they confirmed that the account was active and funds were available. Once we finished our business, I deposited the check into my Capital One 360 checking account. I check my account via the mobile app at XXXX and it stated that the first {$200.00} was made available til the check clears. At XXXX, I received an email stating that fraud prevention put a hold on my account and wanted me to call in asap. At XXXX, I called Capital One and was transferred to fraud prevention. They said that they called XXXX XXXX and was told that the check would be returned for NSF and because of that Capital One was closing my account and ending any business relationship now or in the future. I told he guy in the fraud dept that I didn't understand why they were closing my account since I did what I was suppose to do. At this point, I asked when my money was going to be released since I do have children that I need to care for. I was told that they would be keeping the funds and waiting for the check to be returned so that they could return it to XXXX XXXX.
On XX/XX/2018, I decided to check my account to see what had happened with the check. To my surprise my account was still open and this time my over all balance & available balance was {$300.00}, but states that the funds are unavailable for withdrawal and that I needed to call in yet again. So at XXXX, I called in and they transferred me to another dept that wasn't fraud prevention. I was told that they only do out bound calls and that they could transfer me to a voicemail. I asked them to please transfer me were I did leave a voicemail. Around XXXX, I still received no call from anyone at the bank so I called in again to try and reach someone before the end of business day. The rep said that they couldn't give me any info nor release the funds. I asked him to transfer me to someone that could do something. I was transferred to XXXX ( manager ) who was rude straight from the beginning and so I told her that I wanted to speak to someone higher than her and she stated that there is no one higher than her. So I asked her, are you telling me that you own the bank? She stated no but refused to give information to anyone higher than her. The next thing I knew the call was disconnected.
So instead of letting myself get upset, I decided to wait to see what happens with my account since I used to work for XXXX XXXX and I know their banking policies. It's now the first week in XXXX and in the mail I received a statement for my account stating that it's still open and it's earned interest of {$0.00}. That got me a little curious, so I called Capital One again. This time I was told that It's a ghost account and the money isn't really there. I asked them to explain how this ghost account is earning interest on money that isn't really there and no one had an answer for me. So yet again I asked for someone higher than the person that I was talking too and was told that there was no one else that I could talk too. By now my fuse was starting to get real short since no one could give me any answers, so I started doing my own research when time allowed me. Now it's the beginning of XXXX and almost 2 months since I deposited the check into my account and I'm receiving another statement stating my account has earned more interest of {$0.00}. I called Capital One again and asked to talk to someone in fraud prevention. This time they wouldn't transfer me to the voicemail, but told me if there was any changes to my account then they would call me. I told the lady on the phone that I used to work for XXXX XXXX and if the money is in my account then that means the check cleared. I told them what they are doing was illegal and that I wanted a date that my funds would be released. I was told that they wouldn't be and then the agent started getting really rude. Once I got off the phone this time I started looking over Capital One 's policy and that of the Federal Reserve under regulation CC. I found out that my funds are suppose to be released to me once the check clears the other bank and that if for any reason they are to be held longer that I'm suppose to receive written notice telling me why and a date when they will be released. I never received anything of that sort from Capital One. It's now XXXX, 3 months since the check was deposited and I received another statement saying that my account earned more interest of {$0.00}. This time I was going to stand my ground. I called Capital One again and explained to XXXX ( manager ) that the way they are holding my money is illegal. I read her Capital One policy, the Federal Reserve regulation CC and informed her that I used to work for XXXX XXXX so if they were going to return the check then they would have done so already. She tried to be as helpful as she could, but she was at a loss herself. She did tell me that I could contact customer satisfaction, but they can only be emailed. I explained that with XXXX coming up pretty fast that I just needed my money to do something for my kids. She was completely sympathetic, but her hands were tied. I did send an email to customer satisfaction, but have heard no response as of yet.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: Back in XX/XX/2018 I made a payment on capitol ones mobile app. The app showed that the payment had went through. It credited my account the money and my credit linit showed XXXX again. This was my first true credit card. So i was unaware that some card companys for whhatever reason will sometimes take several days to pull this money from your bank account. I stupidly assumed that the payment had cleared my bank account based on the app showing my credit line was restored to the original amount. I was wrong. By the time the payment did go through my bank the money was not there. I do accept responsibility. I should have checked my BANK ACCOUNT and not relied on the capitol one mobile app. BUT my problem is this ... when the payment did not go through i had already used my credit card again. So when capitol one didnt receive the payment they tacked it back onto my card so now i owed them over 300 dollars on a XXXX dollar credit limit card. To my credit. The payment that was attempted was 3 weeks EARLY. I immediatly started paying the owed amount down. The entire time i had this card i NEVER missed or was late on a payment. Even after they put a hold on my card and informed me that i was fraduently using my card??? How am I a fraudulent user? I made a mistake. Never missed a payment. Never late. I called capitol one to find out what i needed to do to fix the problem. Informed them what happened. Explained it was a misunderstanding. I took responsibility for my mistake. The fraud department was very rude. Did not care what i had to say. Capitol one treated me like i was a criminal. Took no responsibility. Even though they are not supposed to credit my account until the payment has cleared my bank account. I payed off the rest of the balance over 4 months to show i could make my payments on time ect hoping capitol one would see reason. They closed my card as soon as i payed my last payment. The real bad part is no other secured cards will even touch me now. I feel as though capitol one has black balled me in the credit card world for no reason. They refuse to see reason. If i was trying to commit fraud i deffinitly would not have paid you back. Made my payments on time. Look at the proof sitting right in front of you. My payment history. The payment you say is fraud was being made 3 WEEKS EARLY.
