Complaint: I got the card in XXXX and have carried a balance much of the time, paying their usurious 24.74 % interest that I agreed to. ( {$320.00} in interest in XXXX alone ) On XX/XX/XXXX, when my balance was {$3000.00}, I made an electronic payment of the same amount, which should have brought my balance to XXXX.
When I received my next statement on XX/XX/XXXX, it showed that I had paid the balance in full, but added an additional {$33.00} in interest.
I called the company and asked them to retract this charge on the basis of customer goodwill and my tenure with them. They told me that they would not and there isnt anyone that I can talk to or write a letter to. They would not provide a name or phone for anyone, including the VP of customer service or the CEO. I WAS TOLD THERE IS NO ONE ELSE IN THE ENTIRE COMPANY THAT CAN TALK TO ME OR HELP ME.
I understand capitalism and the desire of large corporations to make a fair return on their investments. However, when companies are this arrogant there is typically some other dynamic going on.

Complaint: My Family member got ahold of my social security number and applied for a Capital One Credit card and I had no idea about it until the bill come in my name and still to this day I haven't been able to get anymore info on the account of the credit card and I would like it removed from my credit history so I can see how to get approved for another one it was back between XXXX

Problem with fees
Complaint: I made a purchase with my credit card from capital one in the amount of XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX. I authorized my card to be used as a credit card. It is not a debit card only a capital one credit card. Capital one ran the charge as a wire transfer and then charged me an extra XXXX in cash advance interest and a XXXX cash advance fee. When I spoke with capital one, they informed me that the merchant ran the card as a wire transfer. The merchant responded that they can't do that and ran it as a credit card. I have used another mastercard at this merchant without a problem in the past. Capital one has ran my card in an unauthorized manner in order to charge higher interest and a cash advance fee. I would not have used my card if I had known it would be considered a cash advance.

Complaint: I have a loan with ( CAPITAL ONE XXXX XXXX ). I have always made my payments on time. For some reason I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record with this company. I tried contacting both ( XXXX and XXXX ) and ( CAPITAL ONE XXXX XXXX ) with no successful resolution. ( XXXX ) only reporting me late. There was definitely an error on their part. I was never 60 days late ( Date of Late Payment )

Complaint: XXXX has been non-compliant with removing the unverified account CAPITAL ONE BANK USA Opened Date XX/XX/2015 which has been deleted by XXXX and XXXX. XXXX and XXXX have both completed their research and determined that CAPITAL ONE BANK USA was not established by myself but XXXX keeps verifying this accounts. Also, when I called the company they responded that XXXX did not send them all of the verifying evidence to confirm each account is unverified.

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: My credit score I am in the process of fixing and I wanted to get a secure credit card to help rebuild my credit I went to the capital one website and applied for they credit card because they advertised in there ad that the will approve you if you are trying to rebuild your credit but that is not true all they did was run my credit knowing that they was not going to approve me and put another hard inquiry on my report and lowered my score even more I think that they should be sued so many people apply for they credit card due to they false advertising and all they care about is getting the business not caring that they have just put that customer in a worse situation even more because now that hard inquiry have cause they score to get even lower please help me stop these company from doing this to people and getting away with it thank you

Overcharged for something you did purchase with the card
Complaint: Capital one credit card manager did not honour my charge back rights and supported criminal unauthorised charges helping out merchant thieves twice, so taking my money from my account and not providing me the resolution as legally required. Complaint: Capital One provides virtual credit card numbers so that the customer doesn't need to use their actual credit card account number when making online purchases. This enhances security and the service is called eno.
On XX/XX/2018 I attempted to make two online purchases using eno numbers and they were declined on the merchant websites. I was able to make those purchases immediately afterwards using my actual credit card account number. This negates the benefit of eno and exposes me to an increased risk of fraud and is reckless behavior on the part of Capital One.
I spent over an hour on multiple phone calls with Capital One, yet their representatives were unable to tell me why those two specific transactions were declined. I requested a call back from a manager but never received one.
Obviously Capital One is recklessly disregarding customer concerns and should be penalized in some way.

Charged too much interest
Complaint: I already have filed a complaint, XXXX. I have just gotten in touch with them at Capital One and got no results from them. They said all they could do is reduce my interest from 27 % to 22 % which would not help with what I want to do by getting them paid off. I wanted a 0 % rate for 18 months to pay it off completely and not wanting to hurt my credit score. They provide no help in even reducing it a considerable amount.
My thing is, when you pay a {$230.00} payment and only {$70.00} goes to what you actually owe, maybe it is time for the Government to step in because this is highway robbery and they get away with it. It is awful ... I am on a fixed income, SS retirement and work part time. I just want to lose me as a customer, but don't offer any help with getting the interest low enough.
