Complaint: In XX/XX/2018, I received a letter from Capital One indicating that my account was now sent to the " Recoveries Unit ''. I proceeded to call Capital One on XX/XX/2018 in hopes of reaching an agreement that would allow me to maintain a positive relationship with XXXX offered me a monthly payment of {$150.00} until the account was paid to a {$0.00} balance. I advised XXXX at that time, I could not agree to ANYTHING without having the terms sent to me in writing for my review. She then advised me that without a payment being made by XX/XX/2018, she could not guarantee that the account would not be placed for collections with a local attorney. However, she did agree to provide me with the terms of this proposed payment plan within 7-10 business days of the call. After not receiving the letter XXXX promised, I again contacted Capital One on XX/XX/2018. I was advised that XXXX was not available and that their records indicated that the letter was mailed. Again, I advised them that I did not receive the letter. I was then told that a copy of the letter would be mailed again. The representative advised that they could only hold the account in their office until XX/XX/2018 before the account would be placed in collections. I was then questioned about a completely different Capitol One account that I never opened. I informed the representative that the account that I spoke with XXXX with is the only account I had with Capital One. On XX/XX/2018, I called Capital One to inquire about the account that was mentioned on the previous call that I did not open. I was informed by this representative that they could not provide me with any information after my admission of not " owning or opening '' the account. As to date, I have not received a proposal for a payment plan to keep the account I spoke with XXXX as she and the second representative promised. On XX/XX/2018, I received an e-mail indicating a payment plan that I did not agree to with completely different terms than discussed.

Complaint: I was involved in a pretty bad scam with Capital One, Im a XXXX year old who works full time and I am living on a dream here. I was sent XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX all went without fail and I was able to retrieve the money and everything went smoothly. Then on the XXXX XXXX sent me a sum of XXXX and gave me proof and information which I could show and prove of the transaction being authorized by said person. However, Capital One froze all my accounts and wont let me access the money because of some type of UN-authorized transaction but when I spoke to them they could not and still cant tell me any information on why this might be when I have proof of the instructions givin to me and the prior instructions on the XXXX running smooth and according to plan.

Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I called a local XXXX location ( XXXX XXXX, FL ) to inquire about their financing procedures. I had previously purchased a car from XXXX in Illinois in XX/XX/XXXX and it was a pleasant experience so I wanted to see what was available from them in Florida. I called the local dealership and was connected to a salesman and I explained XXXX him that not would not be ready to purchase a vehicle for about 6 months but I wanted to know what I might expect. He told me I needed to go online to their website and give my information to get me into their system so his very experienced manager could give me some information on qualifications. He promised no hard credit pulls and said they do soft pulls every day to somewhat pre-qualify potential buyers. HE LIED!!!! In XX/XX/XXXX, I was ready to purchase a car, and when applying for financing I was blown away when I found out that XXXX made numerous Hard Pulls in XX/XX/XXXX of that year. I called XXXX immediately and the salesman was no longer employed by them, but I did buy a car from another dealer at that time as stated and easily proven. The following is a list from all three credit bureaus : XXXX : XXXX/XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX and Capital One Auto Finance ( COAF ) on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX : XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and Capital One Auto Finance ( COAF ) on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and Capital One Auto Finance ( COAF ) on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. It has been over a year now that I have been disputing the numerous hard credit pulls from XXXX- XXXX XXXX that still remain on all 3 major credit bureau agencies in my name. Countless calls to the credit bureaus, ( XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) that will not allow me to dispute these inquiries, as that can only be done by the company that pulled them ... XXXX. I have also called some of the financial institutions XXXX used including Capital One Auto Finance, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX. These lenders have told me the same as the credit bureaus, that only the company that pulled them in error can remove them ( XXXX ). I have called XXXX literally dozens of times since XX/XX/XXXX. Despite these many calls and many hours with the dealership and all the way up the ladder to corporate, these hard pulls still remain today and hurt my credit appearance and scores on ALL 3 credit agencies. I finally got connected to XXXX XXXX, a Credit Executive at XXXX Corporate who promised to help me end this nightmare and clear things up back in early XX/XX/XXXX. I have signed and returned the document they provided to me 4 times by fax. I followed up numerous times to their office and they swore it was being corrected. To date, nothing has been done.

Complaint: I filed complaint XXXX regarding a bait and switch scheme by Capital One credit cards. Someone from Capital One 's corporate offices responded and left a voicemail, but the contact information included in her message ( an 800 number, extension, and case number ) did not allow me to reconnect. The 800 number was for a general customer service center and the three separate attempts made and agents contacted were not able to connect me to the person who left the message, the case number or extension provided, or even find notes about my complaint/situation ( despite previous contact with Capital One customer service ahead of the initial CFPB complaint in an attempt to resolve the issue myself ). I have no way of responding to Capital One 's voicemail and there have been no further attempts to contact me.

Complaint: My credit card account was recently purchased by Capitol One from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was not given notice by either company of this transaction therefore ; my auto debit for monthly payments to XXXX ceased and no payments were being made to Capitol one. I did not know these payments were needing to be made because I did not recieve notification from Capitol One or XXXX XXXX XXXX that my account was sold. I had no way of knowing that i needed to make Payments to Capitol One. Furthermore once i was notified late XXXX that I had late payments by XXXX XXXX I immediatly made all past due payments and set up auto draft with Capitol One in order to maintain good status with them. My credit score has now been damaged and impacted with a 30 day + late payment and Capitol One will not remove the 30 day late report to the credit bureau. I am currently in process of buying a house and I need this removed immediatly. I have been in good standings with all creditors for 4 years and not missed or been late to any creditors however this is causing my credit to be blemished. I feel this is in no manner my fault and would like it to be removed from my credit report as a late payment.
