Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 my bank account was closed for withdrawals. I called Capital One. They stated that a payment I received had been marked as fraudulent and unauthorized via XXXX, the payment amount was for XXXX on XX/XX/2018. This transaction was the payment for the receipt of digital goods off of XXXX. I engaged with a trade for XXXX with a user, and they authorized this payment. The bank froze all my funds, despite my account balance being ( XXXX ), including access to my direct deposits ( which were verified and cleared ) of XXXX and XXXX. They allowed me to make a withdrawal of XXXX but I was on the phone for six hours, I do not have any verification from them about this transaction. They also did not dispute this charge with me, they did not ask for verification ( which I have! ) on the XXXX which includes encrypted, signed and verified chat correspondence with the user ( for the exact amount ), the payment method. I have attached screenshots of verifications of these transactions. They can be looked up on the XXXX network ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) which is an UNCHANGEABLE registry of actions. I can provide additional documentation. In addition, the account associated with my XXXX account balance here shows ALL the funds deposited to this XXXX account. They are asking me for unreasonable information such as the contact information of the user, rather than asking me for proof of the transaction, which was verified on the ethereum network. In addition, they are closing ALL of my funds, including funds that were in no way due to a payment, while I was on vacation.

Complaint: My complaint is with Capital One Bank. I'm continuing to receive fraudulent charges on my account. Since XX/XX/2018, I have received 6 new accounts with 6 new credit cards issued because of this. I'm a victim of data breach by Capital One. The fraudulent charges are from subscription services that were never authorized. Capital One states that Visa/Mastercard has an agreement with merchants for subscription services to continue to give updated card information. What about the agreement with Capital One and Visa/ Mastercard , with protecting the consumer? My account has been compromise 5 times, with 6 new credit cards giving to me in 3 weeks. I'm also concern about my credit due to this. Capital One has refunded the charges and sent letters to me on all the accounts that the dispute is resolved, and it won't happen again. However, it continues to happen. It is giving me anxiety, stress, discomfort and it is time consuming to have this continue to be unresolved. It isn't my job to contact the merchant, if the charge is fraud. It is Capital One 's job to contact the merchant. With it happening 5 times and 6 new credit cards, issued to me by Capital One in 3 weeks, it should be flagged for a fraud investigator to look into this matter, personally. On XX/XX/2018, I spotted another fraud charge, and I had Capital One fraud department contact the merchant with me on the phone. After questioning the merchant with a Capital One Fraud Investigator on the phone, It was told to me by the merchant, that Capital One, never called them or sent them a letter to find out why the merchant charged my credit card account. Capital One 's fraud department isn't doing any investigation on fraudulent activities, they are sending out letters that the problem is resolved, in reality it keeps occurring. All consumers need to be aware, I was told that when a credit card is sent by mail from Capital One, the activation only protects the chip. If someone gets your mail, they can use the account number, expiration number and the security card, without the card being activated, a few times they sent a credit card to me and it stated no activation is required the account is ready to use, which I kept the letter the credit card was sent with, why send cards out this way if fraud is reported on them, this is a problem by Capital One Bank. It would only be fair for Capital One to provide credit protection by all 3 credit bureaus due to this mishap on their part. I want to be assure this doesn't effect my credit, this doesn't happen again, and my account is personally handled. Seriously, as a consumer I have broken all records, receiving 6 credit cards in 3 weeks, wow. If this continues, the media will be involved. Consumer accounts compromised - DATA BREACH BY CAPITAL ONE BANK.

Complaint: I sent all three credit bureaus a certified letter to have this closed account deleted/ removed from my credit reports. This capital one account was closed XX/XX/18. I haven't heard anything from them and this violates the FCRA law that States, the bureaus have a responsibility to respond to consumers in a timely manner. This has caused my credit score to decrease and has caused stress and hardship on my family.I am I n the process of shopping for a home loan and have been denied credit.

It has been well over 90 days and they have never responded back. This has cause me a great hardship in my life as well as stress and has caused my credit score to drop drastically which has led to me being denied credit and home loans. The three bureaus have violated the FCRA, laws that are in place to protect the consumers. They're suppose to report accurate information and they have a responsibility to respond to all consumers within a timely manner.

Complaint: My XXXX XXXX charge account became slightly overdue because the bill was lost in the mail. I have an excellent credit rating - it was up to XXXX recently. As soon as the error was discovered I called XXXX XXXX and paid the bill in full ( it was only less than {$100.00}. ) But, unlike other companies, they reported me as 30 days late anyway. I was told that they would reverse this reporting and restore my rating ( which dropped by XXXX points due to their report ) but they never did. When I asked for an investigation by XXXX I was told that XXXX XXXX confirmed me being 30 days late. I called XXXX XXXX twice and was told twice that they were very sorry and they would fix it but they never did. My near perfect credit rating has suffered dramatically due to one minor payment being a couple of weeks late. No other credit card has such a policy - especially when they can easily review my credit and see that I am credit worthy. XXXX XXXX manages to send to me sale e-mails practically every day but they never sent me an e-mail warning me that my bill was past due.

Complaint: Somebody deposited a check made out to my company name into their account. I use Capital One and the check was deposited to a different Capital One account. I have the copy, front and back of the deposited check, which shows signature and account number of the person account where it was deposited. The bank that the check was made from is XXXX XXXX. They tell me Capital One is responsible for verifying check before depositing. This happened back in XX/XX/2018, I found out XX/XX/2018 and brought it to Capital One 's attention via email with copy/proof of the deposited check by email. I have asked for updates by phone and by email, and have not received so much as a case number or confirmation number to follow up on. I do have all the emails showing I've tried, and their general response, that it has been escalated, but more than 6 months later, is completely unacceptable.

Complaint: Someone contacted my brother in law and said that they were looking for me to collect a debt. When I called the company back, they stated they were XXXX. I XXXX them online and could not find any information about them. I then XXXX their number ( XXXX ) XXXX and it came up that it was fraudulent. When I told the person on the phone what I had found, she hung up on me. I then called back and demanded to know why they were calling me. The women stated I was being sued. They asked for my social security number and when I wouldn't provide it, the women stated she could not provide me with any information if I would not provide it and hung up on me.
