Complaint: I opened a money market 360 account with Capital One in order to obtain a bank account bonus of {$500.00}. The bonus code was : XXXX and the terms were to deposit {$50000.00} or more by XX/XX/XXXX. It did NOT state the balance had to be above {$50000.00}. I completed {$50000.00} in deposits on XX/XX/XXXX. I called on XX/XX/XXXX to see why my bonus had not been paid. They claimed it was because I had not obtained a balance of {$50000.00} even though this was not stipulated in their terms and conditions. The terms and conditions are attached below : Open a 360 Money Market account and deposit at least {$50000.00} between XXXX XXXX ET on XX/XX/XXXX, and XXXX XXXX ET on XX/XX/XXXX. When you open your account, enter your promotional codeXXXX. ( Please do not share this code with others. ) Deposits must be from another bank ( transfers between Capital One accounts will not qualify ). If you have or had an open savings product with Capital One after XX/XX/XXXX, youre ineligible for the bonus. This offer can not be combined with any other Capital One Bank or Capital One 360 new account opening offer. Bonus is only valid for one account Capital One will deposit the {$500.00} bonus money into your account within 60 days after completing the above conditions. Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: I applied for a business credit card with Capital One. I was asked to submit all my business information ( ein, registration of business, dba, business location ). I submitted all the requirements to obtain this business card for my business, only to find out that it's being reported to the credit bureau 's as a business card for an individual not as a company card. Which has my company name on it also. I have-other business cards which is not reported on my personal credit report. I feel that Capital One is reporting business credit cards for a company to business credit report and to personal credit report. Makes it looks like Capital One gave out two credit cards to my company which the company only has one business credit card. The card is only used for the purpose of my business and not for personal used. By this being on my credit report is making my debt to ratio higher making it look like I do not manage my accounts very well.

Other transaction problem

Money transfer, virtual currency, or money service: Domestic (US) money transfer

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I initiated a {$10000.00} transfer from my Capital One account to my XXXX account. I am the sole owner on both accounts. Capital One unduly profiled the transaction as suspicious based on discriminatory reasons, froze my accounts and notified me all my accounts were frozen. I called them right away and spoke with a member of the security team who subjected me to a series of prying Securities questions and steps to verify me and that I had initiated the transaction. After I patiently and successfully complied to all Capital One uncalled for security steps, I asked the agent if everything was in order and he confirmed that it was all good. The next day, I found out from XXXX that the {$10000.00} transfer was reversed by Capital One from under my nose. Capital One never bothered to inform me this would happen at any point in my dealing with the security team, on the contrary they said that it was all good. I followed up many times since I found out from XXXX about the illegal transfer reversal by Capital One and my funds are still to this day not back on my account. It is now the XX/XX/XXXX and Capital One is still not telling where my funds are. No one from Capital One Customer Service or Capital One security team bothered to give me updates ( I have to call them every single day to get different answers ) and they tell me they have no control over this ; when they are the ones who purposely made the mistake and created this mess. I believe I have been profiled/discriminated against as there was no objective/factual reason under the sun to flag my transaction as fraudulent. It is a regular domestic transfer from one account I solely own to another account I solely own, that I also went through the extra step/hoops of thoroughly verifying on the phone with the security team at Capital One. I am asking full reparation : my funds + compensation for interests lost and for the time spent dealing with this ordeal and aggravation I have been through.

Sued you without properly notifying you of lawsuit
Complaint: Initially i did try to work with XXXX XXXX XXXX who claim to be representing XXXX XXXX and Capital One. She told me they were going to sue me if I did not pay I asked her for what?! She claimed I owed money and that I needed to pay them. I told them I had fraud before and asked them to validate claim. They did not send any validation and then sued me. To make matters worse i had to pay a lawyer to get an answer written, which could have went towards said claim that they never proved. To add insult to injury, they cheated me out of a court date, by getting judgement behind my back without serving me for trial, whicheans they probably lied to the judge. I have proof of no filed service. This is a misuse of legal system and harrassment and bullying and a clear violation of federal laws.

Problem with a purchase shown on your statement

Credit card or prepaid card: General-purpose credit card or charge card

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam, In summary, I have disputed a charge on my credit card, placed by a vendor in Italy ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) which charge me XXXX EURO. I disputed the charge with Capital One immediately, but the dispute was denied due to forged documentation the merchant had submitted. He submitted the following : - A credit card authorization for my Capital One credit card that I had never seen or signed, but the merchant forged my signature on the credit card authorization - a forged and completely made up invoice for services and charges that was never ordered, delivered or received - added my XXXX XXXX credit card number to a document that I had signed previously for the return of rental cars, however that credit card was added AFTER I had signed the document. He claimed that the security deposit was charged this credit card, even though there is no record of that and in addition, the merchant previously claimed that he does not at all accept XXXX XXXX ( all documented in the email thread with the merchant ) Furthermore, the merchant also claimed that I had personally visited his agency in XXXX, which I never did since all bookings with the company went via XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, via email Any charged I had with XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX and or XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX were paid in full per below : Total Rental Charge : XXXX EURO ( see enclosed contract ) Paid : XXXX EURO with XXXX XXXX ( statement attached ) Paid : XXXX EURO with Visa Card ( XXXX XXXX XXXX statement attached ) At the time of the actual services in this case a luxury car rental for 2 cars, a XXXX EURO deposit was placed on my credit card, to be fully refunded upon return of the cars. Both cars were returned in perfect condition and the refund was due : Deposit 1 : XXXX EURO placed on XXXX XXXX - this was actually refunded Deposit 2 : XXXX EURO placed on Capital One credit card. This was never refunded, but rather charged in full with the forged documents provided by the merchant to the credit card company. This is fraud by every legal definition. However, Capital One has not considered all the detailed documentation I had submitted, from credit card statements, rental contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, entire email threads with these companies and even XXXX XXXX with the merchant XXXX XXXX directly. Capital One has left me to fight this out with a clearly criminal merchant, rather than resolving the dispute on my behalf as their customer. In addition, I had almost weekly call with Capital One 's Dispute Call Center, yet every time I spoke to a different agent and every time the instruction was different, anywhere from having to submit more information to do nothing and wait since the dipute is coming my way anyway. I greatly appreciate your help and assistance in this matter. Best regards and thank you, XXXX XXXX

Problem with a lender or other company charging your account

Checking or savings account: Checking account

Transaction was not authorized
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I paid the XXXX on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX a {$150.00} deposit for a work meeting. Upon paying deposit I signed a proposal stating that the deposit could be paid via my Capital One 360 debit card but remaining balance could be paid via cash, or card. On XX/XX/XXXX, we had our work meeting at XXXX XXXX XXXX at noon. Around XXXX, the CEO of our company asked for the check. I saw him give our server his debit card for the remaining charges of {$830.00}. I asked our CEO if the receipt had the deposit amount deducted. He said it hadn't and gave the receipt with his card with the server. The server brought back the receipt and the CEO signed. A month later I was contacted by XXXX XXXX social stating the balance hadn't been paid. I told them I watched the XXXX give his debit card to the server twice. For months XXXX XXXX social and I went back and fourth. Id written them a check from a different bank but stopped payment because I felt something wasn't right. The two receipts we were presented had a huge 3 time difference from where we paid from when the receipt printed. No where in the proposal stated that my debit card would be charged for the final amount. Nor did I give XXXX XXXX XXXX or XXXX permission to charge my debit card. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX via XXXX charged my card for {$830.00} without my permission or my signature. I filed a claim with Capital One Bank On XX/XX/XXXX disputing the amount as an unauthorized charge. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from Capital One Bank stating that they were reversing my credit of {$830.00} from my account on XXXX, XXXX. I appealed the decision immediately. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received another email with 26 pages of documents of emails between myself and XXXX XXXX XXXX. None of the emails included a signature or authorization to have my card charged for anything other than the {$150.00} from XX/XX/XXXX. Capital One Bank asked via email that I not contact them again about the matter. The charge is fraudulent.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Credit card debt

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: This complaint is stating that your bank has deliberately cut off several years of payment history to re-age my account. Even though the account is missing several years of payment history, the timeline as to when the account should be deleted, under the current late payment history is close, within a few months. Accordingly, I request your bank to do a full review of my payment history, and not delete any late payment history in the process. If there were any additional late payments not posted, then I am within my rights to have the trade line deleted permanently. I understand that your bank must comply with the rules and guidelines of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. There is currently no collection enforcement that can be accomplished due to the rules within my state of residence. If my husband is the responsible party on the account, and I was just an authorizer user, then I respectfully request the deletion of the trade line. There should be a definitive deletion date within the 7-year rule to this account. However, I believe that since your bank has cut off several years of payment history, there is a high level of probability that the account should have been deleted years ago. Please comply within the rules as well as your banks subscriber agreement with all three pertinent credit reporting agencies. PLEASE DELETE THIS ACCOUNT PERMANENTLY!!!

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Credit card debt

Debt was result of identity theft
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX andXX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX about a notice to collect a debt from Capital One. I final heard back from someone in the office after several days. I explained that my identity had been stolen in XX/XX/XXXXand I could supply their office with copies of the police report and other items needed as the account in question was also not something that I had established. I sent the documents, as mentioned, via email and on XX/XX/XXXX, I received noticed from XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that Capital One could not substantiate my claim and they would move forward with garnishing my wages. I have since communicated with Capital One in the same format as I have with all businesses where accounts were fraudulently established. I have provided the proper documentation, as well. However, Capital One is adamant that I pay the debt created by some mystery person who has used by social security number, date of birth, address, phone number and more to establish services with Capital One, apartment communities, hospitals, and even utility companies. In addition, I was dealing with a bankruptcy at the time that the accounts were established. Any help to rectify this matter is greatly appreciated.
