Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, me and my mother were curious about getting new vehicles at the dealership located in XXXX, XXXX called " XXXX XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ''. We filled out information both my mother and I. We were than approved for 2 vehicles, .. one XXXX XXXX XXXX for her and XXXXne XXXX XXXX XXXX crew cab for me.. anyways these vehicles were meant to be reliable transportation for us to get work and back home with no problems ... we were one another 's cosigner for the vehicle along with XXXX for a down payment. The following morning me and my mother returned to the same dealership to finish filling out the legal documents and forms as well as pay lot fees etc. We were able to drive off the lots that day knowing that our 1st bill would be XX/XX/XXXX, her financial company is XXXX,. Right away hers was set after several visits to the dealership, .. as for me? MY DEAL FOR THE XXXX XXXX XXXX was still in the air and were never given a confirmed financing company until XX/XX/XXXX. My mother and I were under the impression that they would just ask for the truck back since it took so long for them to find a finance group ( capital one auto finance ) which is now the financial service group for the vehicle. Anyways I made a late/short payment of XXXX because that was all I had at the time ... due to an arrest for a warrant I was arrested in XXXX on XXXX this through what I had saved up for the payment of both vehicles ... also I was never given a full 30 days to prepare for a payment for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ) was when capital one notified me and introduced themselves as my financing company. The payment of XXXX was made around XXXX that was all I could afford due too court and legal fees for my previous arrest in XXXX So they didnt really work with my situation in that part. On XX/XX/XXXX I was also pulled over on my way to work in the XXXX Ram 1500 for no reason was my belief, but when the officer ran my name, it appeared that I had a suspended license but also had on original dealership plates. Never received my official XXXX license plates. So that was the officers " probable cause '' too pull me over ... After being compliant and reasonable the XXXX officer towed and impounded my truck for a mandatory 30 days ... After the 30 days was over the Towing company who was holding my vehicle notified Capital one and said my vehicle was abandoned or was intending to sell my vehicle ... the cost of the vehicles release was going to be 700+ dollars that's not including the XXXX towing charge.. Anyway, I was prepared to take the vehicle out of impound. But come to find out I wasnt notified that capital one came and repossessed my vehicle for a " violation of our agreement '' that i was intending to sell the vehicle ... so after calling and figuring out what to do next I called the financial service ( CAPITAL ONE AUTO FINANCE ) and the lady said my truck was now in a different city. At a capital vehicle recovering two yard waiting to be auctioned off ... for the XXXX I was able to put some cash down to prevent the auction date and the agent granted me 10 days .. I have to now pay for they're miscommunication mistake and now pretty much pay 2 different impound fees which added up to be is XXXX along with a XXXX payment that was for the vehicle itself ... I was never delinquent on payment ... that and only drove the truck for only a month and it got impounded, its embarrassing when I heard my truck wasnt even in the same vaccinity as me ... this isn't fair and isn't right ... as if I was 90 days past due for the payments and as if I were trying to sell my vehicle I didn't have access too. I REQUEST that they give me a full 30 days for making a payment, and also help pay for the impounding because I was never delinquent. The vehicle was in my eligible for release on XX/XX/XXXX. The recovery company came and repossessed the vehicle on XX/XX/XXXX. I was coming back from work/out if town to get the vehicle and her it wasnt in XXXX XXXX towing.. it is now in XXXX, XXXX at a place called XXXX XXXX XXXX. Scheduled for auction XX/XX/XXXX ...

They deliberately moved the last payment date to the year XXXX so that I will be rejected for the low income cooperative. I was rejected for the low income cooperatives loan because of this falsified information. I am serving court documents to have you all appear in court. Complaint: I recently applied for a credit card with Capital One on XX/XX/218 and was declined " Based on your credit report from XXXX, there have been too many recent inquiries '' I checked my credit report for accuracy and shows I only had 1 inquiry prior to application. I've been on the phone with Capital One for a few hours trying to get an answer and they are stating application can not be overturned. I was denied credit with no valid reason and made it known to them before submitting complaint. I understand there are various factors looked at when submitting a credit card application and met all the requirements before submitting ( XXXX fico ).

Complaint: During the last month or so the credit card company, Capital One, changed its website access method to include a form of secondary confirmation ( which is normally a good thing ), however the only method they offer for the confirmation is the use of a U.S. based cell phone number. I am with the XXXX XXXX, currently stationed in XXXX, so I use a XXXX cell phone. Capital One has no means to associate my XXXX cell phone with my account, and their website access now appears to be limited to those with a U.S. cell phone number. I am now blocked from accessing their website, which means I am blocked from normal functions of card services but I also am denied access to the Capital One rewards program and my money market account. I have been a customer of Capital One for 20 years and I have never had this issue as before they could send a code to the email on my account to confirm my identity. I have called Capital One several times and only received apologies and acknowledgment of the issue since they changed their operating system. The only solution they offered was to have me call them if I needed my balance or to maintain a U.S. cell phone number for purposes of Capital One account verification. I was hoping to use some of my Capital One rewards over the holidays and was planning on moving {$10000.00} from my Capital One money market account but apparently Im held hostage to this credit card now until I am stationed in the U.S. again. This is shocking to me as I have never had this problem before when accessing my various accounts all over the world during my military career. Even my banks offer verification by email. Capital One phone representatives ( including " supervisors '' ) seem to view this as a mere inconvenience to me but I have no way to unblock my account until I return to the U.S. and get a U.S cell number. This issue came about when Capital One sent me an email about an international charge, and it was a charge I did not recognize. Apparently they are comfortable communicating with me about potential fraudulent charges using the email they have on file for me, but they will not allow me to use that same email to confirm that I am the account holder.

Complaint: I continue and will continue to address this situation. I feel everytime that I have addressed this matter with Capital One Bank about the unauthorized inquires, they continue to respond saying that they have no record. The record is there where there representatives have told me that they had no such record that was found. I still question where these inquires came from. The other credit bereaus investigated and found my case to be fraudulant applications and immediately removed but Equifax continues to hold this situation up and continues to insist that II have capital one deal with this situation. Capital One continues to discriminate towards me and not properly addressing my concerns. I have ask for the inquiries to be removed and as i stated before until they disappear off my credit report I will not quit with the complaints till a resolve has been reached.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 Capital One agent " XXXX '' ( ID # XXXX ) sought out and contacted my ex-husband ( of 9 years ), who was never listed on the account in any capacity. Neither his name, phone number or any other information was ever associated with the account. After calling him, the advisor verified my name and social security number with him, which he obviously would have knowledge of as my ex-husband. He claims that he made it very clear that we were not married and have limited communication. Despite this, the advisor disclosed detailed information about the account and its balance, as well as offered to set up a payment arrangement and/ or settlement. It is my understanding that he declined this and advised the representative that she would need to contact me. After receiving a call from him regarding this matter on the same day, I called Capital One and spoke with a supervisor " XXXX '' ( ID # XXXX ) who claimed that this was a regularly used method by the company to reach debtors. I asked that the account be discussed with no others persons beside myself and was told " they would do their best ''. Additionally I asked to have the account notated that no discussion with my ex-husband in particular is to happen. I was advised that she would notate the account, but couldn't make any promises, however that I could send a written complaint/ request to Capital One General Correspondence.

When we left -- in a hurry -- we filled in the total to be an even {$30.00}, and signed for it. When we got home, we calculated that the tip was only {$0.00}. However, we discovered that they charged us a total of {$35.00}. I disputed the overcharge with CapitalOne and they immediately made a purchase adjustment on my account in the amount of the extra {$5.00}. The same day, the XXXX, I scanned my receipt and uploaded it for them to pursue the case ( Case number : XXXX ). Without further communication, on XX/XX/2018, I was charged for a " transaction rebill '' in the amount of {$5.00} for the Dining purchase made on the XXXX.

Complaint: XX/XX/2018 To Whom it Concerns, My Capital One credit card statement of XX/XX/2018 is incorrect by {$1600.00} plus interest! I contacted customer service in regards to this on XX/XX/2018. I did this when I made a {$500.00} payment on the account. The customer service representative XXXX ( XXXX ) said she would forward the information to the department that would correct the improper balance. She concured that the balance was improper. She could see that instead of a payment being reversed back to the account just one time it was incorrectly reversed two times back to the account. This was due to two different card numbers because I reported lost stolen and fraudulent payment made on my account. The same single account. I have never made a payment online!!!! I have only made all my payments from the same checking account. My phone was hacked!!! I reported right away and changed my password on my online account. I have had this credit card for several years now and I have always been responsible and obedient to terms and conditions. I also have no criminal record. I also have worked for a credit card company. I was told by the customer service representative that this statement would be corrected. She also did not inform me that I was supposed to write to capital one to report error in billing. Conversation was recorded and I spent 2 hours on the phone that day with the company. I was lied to by Capital Ones customer service representative and I was not informed proper on how to dispute the error in the billing. I want this corrected this is simple reading and math to correct this billing. I want all my interest for this mistake credited back for XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX statements. I have attached the statements of XXXX and XXXX. I also have enclosed a spreadsheet showing the improper calculation of statement. Please do the simple reading and simple math. Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I called Capital one to verified I can make a payment using a prepaid debit card. I was told by the representative as long as there was an account number and routing number I would be able to use the card. The next day XX/XX/XXXX I called Capital one back to make a payment. The representative verified while on the phone with a XXXX banking rep, my account number, the routing number and clearance of the total payment. On XX/XX/XXXX I find out the payment has been returned. I first called XXXX to find out what happened and they told me the payment never came through. I then called Capital one and the rep. tell me she was not sure why the payment was returned. I then proceed to make the same payment using a different bank account. That payment was cleared the next day so I didn't think too much about it, just thought I couldn't use a prepaid card anymore. The day after XXXX I went to use my card and find out it had been closed. After talking to countless representative on serval different occasion. After hours on the phone trying to get this resolved, I finally get an account manger who tell me that they gave them the wrong routing number. The number that was giving was the number to process deposit to the card and not make withdrawals. I do not work for Capital One nor do I work for XXXX XXXX. This is not my fault. I had no ideal there are two different routing number for prepaid cards. The rep stated that she would request that the card be reopened but there are no guarantees. This could take up to three weeks to process. This is unacceptable. I have had this card for over a year I use it to help with credit building and to help me in between paychecks. Me and my family depended on this card.

How is a pre-approved credit card offer at 24.99 % to 27.99 % reasonable, respectable, or a good thing for any prospective customer? How is this even ethical? 3. How is charging fees for late payments, insufficient fund payments, yearly subscription, or any other fee more than 200 % over actual processing charges reasonable? 4. What laws do you use to loan shark? 5. What will it take to remove or mark my personal information so it is not used or distributed to partners or other businesses permanently and require my express written permission to be used at all by anyone? I submitted a complaint and Capital One responded by refusing to answer my questions and only removed my personal information from Capital One 's contact list for 3 years. They refused to contact their partners to do the same. 3 years is unacceptable, and not contacting their partners unethical and irresponsible.

Complaint: Capital One is charging me an additional 1 % of my balance and adding it to my minimum payment due. This is not listed on my statement. The fees listed did not add up to the break down they show on my statement which prompted me to call call and speak with a rep named XXXX at XXXX ( Eastern Time ) about this and he informed me that is how the minimum balance was calculated. I asked why is this not shown on my statement. He did not have a reply but only that this is how they charge people and they do it to help customers pay down balances faster in addition to the minimum payment required. I stated that this should be at the customer 's consent to do and not automatically done for them on top of not showing this on their bill. This is unjust and unfair. I should have the ability to choose to pay more if I am legally meeting the minimum balance due and that a complete break down of the fees should be shown on my statement.
