Complaint: Capital One, XXXX. Box XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX UT XXXX I pulled my credit report and it showed a hard inquiry from Capital One. I contacted Capital One back in XXXX and they advised it was definitely fraud and they would forward a letter to the credit bureau to advise of the error and it would take approx. 90 days to resolve. I called after the 90 days and the issue still and the issue has still not been resolved. I phoned Capital One again and they advised I would need to provide a copy of the credit report! I asked why as they admit it was fraud and it was on their end. I need assistance getting this hard inquiry removed.

Complaint: The reason for my writing of this letter is to inform that I am a victim of IDENTITY THEFT. I informed this company on XX/XX/XXXX about my identity theft issue. I am a victim of identity theft. My personal information was compromised and as a result, fraudulent charges were included on my account without my consent or authorization. I noticed Significant fraudulent changes around early XXXX and early XXXX. My account had various fraud charges throughout the year or two. As the law required that they delete this fraudulent account within four days from receiving my written consent, this company is still reporting this account until now. I am making it clear here that I did not benefit from anything whatsoever in this fraudulent activity. Attached herewith are all the documents I sent this company i.e. My dispute letter, My identity theft report e.t.c. I am also INCLUDING MY RECENT CONTACT IN CASE YOU NEED TO REACH ME : 1. my phone is ( XXXX ) XXXX 2. AFTER READING REVIEWS ONLINE AND GETTING NO RESPONSE OR REFERALS THAT RELATED TO MY TIMESHARE I CALLED MY CAPITOL ONE CARD TO LET THEM KNOW THAT I NEEDED HELP DISPUTING THIS CHARGE.. THEY THEN GAVE ME A CREDIT OF THE XXXX AND I FILLED OUT ALL THE PAPERWORK THAT THEY SENT ME, AND FIGURED THAT THIS MESS WAS BEHIND ME, BUT THEN I GOT A CALL THAT MY CARD WAS OVER THE LIMIT AND PAYMENTS THAT ARE AUTOMATICLY PAID CAME BACK. Complaint: I made a payment of {$4200.00} to CapitalOne to pay off my charge card nearly 3 months ago. CapitalOne can not find the check in their system. However, I have confirmed with my bank that CapitalOne cashed the check. I have called nearly every day for the past many months and get no where closer to a resolution. The issuing bank gave me a " affidavit of forgery '' document which they need CapitalOne to complete. The issuing bank can not proceed with its investigation until this document is completed by CapitalOne. CapitalOne refuses to complete this document. In the meantime, my credit is destroyed and I am out {$4200.00}. No one will help!

Complaint: I have a >XXXX FICO score, no derogatory marks, and applied for a Capital One Savor Credit Card on XX/XX/19. I was rejected. I later received a letter stating it was because I applied to too many credit cards. I received a mailing on XX/XX/19 with a special pre-approved offer for a Capital One Venture card. Since I had just been denied the Savor, I called Capital One on XX/XX/19 to verify that this was in fact a pre-approval offer, as nothing had changed in my credit history in last few months, so there is no reason a pre-approval should be denied. The customer service representative took my Reservation # and Access Code for the offer, and verified that it was in fact a pre-approval offer. I said thank you, and that I would apply online. I then applied online and was rejected. I can say with confidence, as I monitor my credit every 7 days, that nothing in my credit report has changed, and I haven't applied to any new credit cards in the last several months -- the window in which this pre-approval would have been generated. I spoke with a manager in their customer service department, who said this preapproval would have been generated by a screen sent within the last 2 months. He said there was no way to reconsider my application, or reverse the hard credit check. I feel that I was baited into having an unnecessary credit pull on all 3 major credit monitoring agencies, thereby negatively affecting my credit. This is irresponsible and predatory behavior. It would be one thing if my credit situation had changed. The fact that it had not, and my credit remained top tier at the time of application, is evidence that their " pre-approval '' claim is deceitful and fraudulent. The application terms also say nothing about having applied to too many credit cards being disqualifying.
