Problem with a purchase shown on your statement

Credit card or prepaid card: Store credit card

Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Complaint: A charge for {$370.00} was made on XX/XX/XXXX at a Kohl 's store in California. It was a fraudulent charge as I live in Massachusetts and was not out of state at that time. I received an email from Kohl 's on XX/XX/XXXX that my card statement had a balance. I called to submit a fraud claim and also close the account. I never heard anything back from Kohls and did not receive a letter. The charge remained on the account. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and was told the first fraud claim had been closed for some reason. No notes were entered as to why. The woman I spoke with opened a second fraud claim at that time. As of XX/XX/XXXX, the charge is still on my account and I was told by the customer service rep, that since it is more than 30 days overdue, the credit bureaus were probably already informed of the late/missed payment. I think this is ridiculous and this should have been fixed long ago. The fact that my first fraud claim was erroneously closed should prompt Kohls to work to quickly resolve this issue. I have had excellent credit all my adult life and I really don't need this to XXXX it up. Each Kohls rep I speak to tells me something different so I really don't know who to believe anymore.

Complaint: Capital One I got hit with a hard inquiry on Inquiry from XX/XX/2018. I had spoken with this company and when I asked for a increase that it would be a soft pull because I didn't want any hard pulls on my credit, they told me would be no hard inquiry once i noticed there was one on my XXXX XXXX I contacted them right away. They said they would give me a courtesy removal as long as I make my payments which I have been doing. I had called them again Around XX/XX/2018. I never signed any documents giving any permission for a hard pull and would just like the courtesy removal as promised by there customer service team and sales reps.

Managing an account

Checking or savings account: Savings account

Funds not handled or disbursed as instructed
Complaint: Around the week of XX/XX/2019 thru XX/XX/2019, my account was hacked. Some fraudulent activities were spotted which caused concern with the security team. Unbeknownst to me, my account was blocked off, and actions were taken by the banking institution to further stop the fraudulent activity on the account. No one contacted me on the matter. I was trying to retrieve funds the week after when I noticed that the account was blocked. I immediately called said banking institution, CAPITAL ONE 360, concerned asking for details on my blocked account. Several questions were asked to confirm my identity. Everything was confirmed, then they explained the matter. I wasnt aware of what was going on, or what was done. They then flipped the script and tried to blame me for the security risk. They victimized me and played the blame game. I then asked for my banking relationship to be terminated, which they happily agreed to. I asked to have all incoming deposits made to the account blocked off while they still investigate, which they agreed to since I get my direct deposit to this account. CAPITAL ONE 360 is still allowing my funds to go into the hacked account. My employer cant stop any deposits into the account until they can confirm with the bank. CAPITAL ONE 360 is now refusing to give me access to the account, withdraw my funds and wont allow me to transfer my money out of the account. No one is answering my calls, the security team wont get back to me on the matter. My money doesnt even show up on records when I try to log in. Something very fishy is going on, and Im highly concerned. My money is being taken and held by the bank. No one is responding to my calls, the customer service line doesnt know where my funds are located or being held. Im in dire need of help with this matter.

Incorrect information on your report

Credit reporting, credit repair services, or other personal consumer reports: Credit reporting

Account status incorrect
Complaint: I am currently going through a mortgage process and made the unfortunate mistake of mailing out a " good will '' letter to Capital One on XX/XX/18 asking them to consider removing some late pays they had reported last year. On XX/XX/18 I received a credit alert stating negative remarks were added to my credit reports for my closed Capital One card. When reviewing the marks it stated " consumer disputes after resolution. '' First off I NEVER disputed anything. I took full responsibility for my late pays in my letter. Any competent person reading this letter would have understood it was a simple request and could easily have been answered by a yes or a no. I have called Capital One and been met with ridiculous reason as to why they can't remove the dispute language on my report and that I need to contact the 3 bureaus instead. I've contacted all 3 credit bureaus 3 separate times and had the remarks removed with ease. It is not the credit bureaus issue. It is a Capital One issue because they keep reporting my account each month as under dispute. This company has caused my lenders to have to run my credit far more times than necessary lowering it each time! This is because I can not have an open dispute when getting a mortgage and they now need to make sure the dispute is removed. Capital One is literally costing me thousands of dollars which will reflect over the life of my mortgage loan! I have literally tried every which way to contact somebody from Capital One, even their XXXX handle which is insane. A consumer should not have to contact a company 10+ times to correct an error made by their staff. They need to remove the dispute remarks on this account immediately.

Closing your account

Credit card or prepaid card: General-purpose credit card or charge card

Company closed your account
Complaint: Capital One closed both of my accounts for non activity and is still harassing me to repay the credit card agreement/promissory note when the the two accounts have already been paid in full. Capital One is asking for repayment ( to pay again ) with Federal Reserve Notes, Debit, and Money Order which are all debt instruments. Federal Reserve Notes are a promise to pay money, therefore it can not be money. Federal Reserve Notes are a promise to pay money, what we call cash. If a promise to pay money is cash and is treated as cash, on the books of the banks, did i promise to pay money in regards to the credit card agreement, yes or no? I know the answer is yes, I do promise to pay money or I agreed to pay money ; the instrument that i electronically signed ( Capital ONe does not have a record of the application because it was done online ) was treated as cash, because it was a promise or agreement to pay money. Who has to hand cash first when dealing with banks? I had to hand over a signed document to Capital One first before anything else could happen, meaning granting me the credit cards that I applied for. How can I pay for anything with a promise to pay? Not knowing, but when I signed a credit card agreement I actually made a deposit, which is a loan to Capital One. The promissory note was turned into a negotiable instrument. Capital One could not make a book entry unless I created the agreement, by putting my signature on it. This is a misrepresentation as they failed to disclose that the agreement that I signed became a valuable instrument. Capital One failed to disclose that I was accessing my own account and confirming that this credit limit was created and derived by me. Instead of asking me for repayment ( to pay again ) Capital One owes me the face value of the agreement. Capital One will make money on my signature when the agreement with my signature hits 9 months and it becomes a security which is an asset to the bank. Since the alleged debt was paid in full, I have sent a 1099-A and 1099-OID to show who is the true lender and recipient of the funds. They can not deny this as banks don't loan any money. I am the true creditor, grantor, settlor, maker. The minute they sent me a coupon which is a money order, they tricked me into becoming the trustee and liable for a fake debt. Capital One is taking part in inducement, concealment, theft - taking the credit card agreement with my signature and claim that there is no record of it because it was done online. They are involved in extortion under 8 USC Section 1341 - Frauds and swindles Whoever, having devised or intending to devise any scheme or artifice to defraud, or for obtaining money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises, or to sell, dispose of, loan, exchange, alter, give away, distribute, supply, or furnish or procure for unlawful use any counterfeit or spurious coin, obligation, security, or other article, or anything represented to be or intimated or held out to be such counterfeit or spurious article, for the purpose of executing such scheme or artifice or attempting so to do, places in any post office or authorized depository for mail matter, any matter or thing whatever to be sent or delivered by the Postal Service, or deposits or causes to be deposited any matter or thing whatever to be sent or delivered by any private or commercial interstate carrier, or takes or receives therefrom, any such matter or thing, or knowingly causes to be delivered by mail or such carrier according to the direction thereon, or at the place at which it is directed to be delivered by the person to whom it is addressed, any such matter or thing, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both. If the violation affects a financial institution, such person shall be fined not more than {>= $1,000,000} or imprisoned not more than 30 years, or both. This credit card debt for both accounts was paid in full and a promise to pay is a security, in contract law would be void.

Other problem
Complaint: I took steps to enroll in auto payment at every XXXX to prevent being late. The minimum amount for XX/XX/XXXX was {$110.00}. On the XXXX, my request for partial balance transfer on my Capital One account from my XXXX card in the amount of {$1800.00} was credited to my Capital one account which was more than the minimum amount required. I chatted on line with XXXX an account supervisor on the XXXX and discussed the situation of " Double payment/ Redundant payment. I asked if I could get reimbursed for the minimum payment made on the XXXX. He said 'No '. I asked if that amount can be considerd as XX/XX/XXXX payment. Again, He said 'No '. My contentions are that Being in a Supervisory Position, he could have made a request to the particular department that can take care of my requests. Their IT can in probability take care of this. There was no pause I observed in ready answer for him to ask or consult with any department. They never informed me whatso-ever that, that's their policy, 'NO REFUND/REIMBURSEMENT '' for consumer 's mistakes on payment.
