Complaint: I signed up for a Capital One Money Market account on XX/XX/XXXX. My account number is XXXX. Under the terms of the bonus offer at the time, the offer stated the following : " Deposit at least {$50000.00} no later than XXXX XXXX ET on XX/XX/XXXX If you have or have had a savings product with Capital One after XX/XX/XXXX, you wont be eligible for the bonus.
Bonus offer is not valid for multiple accounts.
If you qualify for a bonus, Capital One will deposit the bonus money into your account within 60 days after completing the above conditions.
Once its deposited, the funds will be available immediately. Account must be in good standing ( not in default, closed, or suspended, or otherwise not in good standing ).
All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them. '' Upon depositing $ XXXX in $ XXXX installments over the period between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I then proceeded to withdraw the funds from this account. I have since tried contacting Capital One on chat and then on phone, and proceeded to speak with a customer service representative and a supervisor who advised that the terms of the offer have since then changed and keep directing me to the renewed terms of the offer which state that the funds need to be in the account for a period of 60 days after the time passes. The terms at the time of the account opening do not have the requirements for the funds to stay in the account for 60 days. The terms of the offer were not honored for me even after fulfilling the requirements.
I request that the {$500.00} bonus offer be honored by Capital One since I deposited the required amount during the period between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: I deposited a check from a customer around XX/XX/2016, the check cleared 5 days later, & then I couldn't access my account on the mobile app. I contacted Capital One 360 & they said they were closing my account since it was new due to fraudulent activity. Fast forward 1 year, the money from the cleared check is still in my account, it is not closed, it's gaining interest monthly, but I have limited access to most services on the account. So I call & speak to their fraud department supervisor who notifies me that they can't prove the check is fraudulent but they can't release the funds to me for no reason given. When I asked to speak to a manager, she said she was it & there was nothing further to speak of & then hung up on me after a brief & rude end to my inquiry. Fast forward 1 more year & I am still receiving monthly statements in the mail with interest accumulating & can not use my money from a check that they cleared.

Complaint: On the date of XX/XX/2019, I went to a auto company ( XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, OK ) hoping to finance a car through them. Going in their oblivious to what they were trying to pull, they said things to me that weren't true. They told me they needed money ( {$100.00} ) to put an application through, which was false. They also told me and advertise, that they in fact do not run credit. Me being a first time buyer, heard that and went through with it. Turns out, they ran my credit and it left me with a hard inquiry on my credit report. Had I been told, they in fact will run my credit, I would've walked out the door. Me and my mother both called them, and the sales man told me they do not run credit, yet my report says otherwise. We asked to speak with the manager or supervisor and he then said they do run credit and he will speak with the salesman about the false information he gave me. Apparently their was nothing more they can do at that point. Very ignorant, lazy, and poor communication going on in that business. They clearly just wanted to make a sale and took advantage of a first time buyer.

Complaint: XXXX My account was restricted without cause nor explanation. I was told that my account restricted for authorizers placed on the account. However, the cards were never given to the employees. I was asked to send copies of the ids and social security cards. I sent what was received from my contractors. Again, no one had received the cards. They continued to request ids or social security cards were not clears. I sent them several ways as requested. I asked that they cancel the cards. During this time I paid off the account since they wouldn't explain to me about the cause for of the restriction. I have a credit balance of {$4900.00}. They refuse to return my credit balance, transfer my points credit balance and close my account.

Complaint: I deposited a {$1500.00} check from my XXXX Card account on XX/XX/2019 into my Capital One bank 360 account. Capital One showed a credit on my account of {$1500.00} as check cleared. On the same day I transferred the {$1500.00} into another checking account with Capital One Bank. Several days later I received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX from Capital One saying that the check was returned insufficient funds.
Similarly XXXX sent me a letter saying that I was over my credit limit. I called Capital One and they returned my call on XX/XX/XXXX saying that my account was terminated because of Fraud. To my disbelief after 15 years of relationship. The bank accused me of Fraud. When I wrote the check from my XXXX account. Because the checking 360 account was closed, I couldnt return the {$1500.00} from the other Capital One account as an internal transfer. The fact of the accusations and the wrongdoing of Capital One investigators conclusion, and failing to advise me of the effective date of closure, is causing financial hardship in several automated debit payments, and mortgages that are accumulating return fees, late fees, and potentially damaging my credit score.
Furthermore, Im employed as XXXX XXXX XXXX on a Financial institution and this information can damage my professional career.

Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Complaint: Somewhat complex and hope that a representative will help me to describe my complaint.
the guidance of ANY said XXXX, of any CREDIT CARD company, the named institution or other on how to correctly utilize, discharge use, full disclosure of said procedure to credit the legal entities account with the discharge or offset of public debt. CREDIT that is due to me the taxpayer upon a signature of my name, in its unlimited commercial capacity.
As authorized representative of my legal entity, they are entitled to write and tender lawful notes. This has been a common practice for many years. The attempts by any XXXX of the company or any other credit card company, to dishonor any lawful notes, refuse to give process on how to do so, and not process such lawful notes for discharge or offset, will be a Dishonor in Commerce, Fraud, Conspiracy, Racketeering, collusion, etc. I believe there is no proof to the contrary

Can't use card to make purchases
Complaint: On numerous occasions I have contacted Capital One and provided documentation regarding my account. The account was opened approximately 1 year ago and upon opening my job relocated myself out of the country which I thought would be permanent became only temporary and now here I am back in the XXXX and have spent many hours on the phone with Capital One trying to resolve the issues they had with issuing the card to myself. Capital One security department on many occasions kept referring back to the number I had prior to leaving for XXXX and demanded that was the only number theyd accept for verification with the account. Having lost the number when I left I no longer was able to receive such a text from them, so therefore finally they requested further documentation in which I provided and after providing the security department told myself that what they received wasnt acceptable and would be permanently restricting the account and closing it. A month and 1/2 proceeded and I saw that the account was not closed and contacted Capital One and was immediately sent to the fraud operations department which started out with the rep there lying to myself about 2 issues and only to go on further and I had enough at one point and ask for a supervisor and at that point i began to record the call and the rep stated there was non available and i could try back next week and speak with someone and could be assisted then. I at that time called from my other phone and got a guy on the phone from the same dept who stated that yes there is supervisors available. I took the call with him only for him to argue with myself about he wasnt able to close the card and then i asked for a supervisor and he told me at one point one wasnt available and then I demanded and he then stated yes one was available but id have to get a call back and I stated I'd hold for one and he then insisted one call back, I believe with no intentions of having someone call. Finally he says hes getting one and places myself on hold for 25 min to then come back and say he can proceed with closing it. Capital One has kept the account on my credit file for an excessive amount of time and then refused to close it only to tell lies which I have recorded.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: the problem is with Kohl 's credit card online payment system. on the payment page, you input your payment amount, bank information and pay date, then click " submit ''. a screen then appears that says in big bold letters at the top " Online Payment Confirmation ''. Now, on every other site I use to make payments online, that is only found on pages that are confirming my payment but with Kohls, that is NOT the case. their page labeled as payment confirmation is usually labeled elsewhere as " confirm your payment '' or something to that effect. so, if you are not paying close attention, you think you have paid, then are surprised when your next bill appears with no payment and a late fee! not to mention the mark on your credit report - which is the worst aspect. I have complained to them and written them, but they have made no changes to their site.
I can't imagine how many people are being charged late fees because of this and having their credit history negatively affected. they should not be able to call this page " payment confirmation '' if it is not a payment confirmation!

Complaint: XXXX is refusing to fix the innacurate information reported on two closed charge off accounts from Capital One. My dispute is about date of first delinquency. I have paid both accounts every penny without any discounts or settlements. Both accounts were closed become delinquent in XX/XX/XXXX, I have paid both accounts in XX/XX/XXXX and Capital One reported {$0.00} balance paid after charge off. However in XX/XX/XXXX Capital One reported this back on my credit report as a date of First Major Delinquency XX/XX/XXXX causing my credit file to pickup as currently late and my credit score dropped 40 points for being currently late.How can they report as Date of First Major Delinquency XX/XX/XXXX if I don't have any balance on these two accounts and both accounts were closed in XX/XX/XXXX. I have called XX/XX/XXXX and Capital One both say they don't know why is this happening and they will look in to it but after investigation they don't correct issue.

Complaint: Capital One is still reporting a charged off account with balance due when I have court documentation that it was a repayment agreement that has been paid in full. Complaint: On the XX/XX/2019 a savings account was closed at Capital One 360 and the remaining amount to be mailed out is {$480.00}. The customer service representative stated that it should take between 5 to10 business until receipt of the check. It is now XX/XX/2019 and I have yet to receive the check from Capital One 360. I have called several times to check on the status to no avail. Customer service keeps bouncing me to another department that handles the account that is either never available, and never gets back to you when leaving a message. It is now close to a month of dealing with this bank with this issue, and yet nothing is being resolved. I just want my funds made available as soon as possible!

Complaint: We bought a car from XXXX on XXXX in XXXX. When we arrived on the car lot we informed them we were looking for a safe reliable family vacation vehicle. We also let them know our XXXX year old would ride in it daily so we needed it to be safe. We left with a XXXX XXXX XXXX. Two weeks into having the vehicle we noticed it wasn't driving right. We took it To our mechanic who said there was an extreme oil leak and an extreme differential leak. We didnt believe it since it had just passed inspection 2 weeks before we purchased it. We took it to two other mechanics who stated the same thing to us. We contacted XXXX and they told us to take it to there approved vendor to get looked at. There vendor said he didnt see the oil or differential leak. He was also the same person who passed the inspection on it. He kept the vehicle for about two days to make some repairs and gave it back to us and said it was good. We thought the car was fixed until two months later there was smoke coming from the hood of the car. We took it back to our mechanic who said if anything was fixed he wouldnt be able to tell since it was all used parts on the vehicle. He stated it still had an extreme oil leak, differential leak and also a transmission leak as well. We had a state trooper look at the car with the mechanic who said the vehicle is life threatening to drive and there is no way it should have passed inspection. The trooper said since it has been so long since we purchased the vehicle he wouldnt be able to issue the citation but he would have a talk with the approved vendor about it passing it when it should not have been. At this point we contacted XXXX and told them everything and they said they would have a tow truck come pick the vehicle up and they would look it over again. After looking it over they decided to allow us to come look for a different vehicle at XXXX on XXXX XXXX. When we arrived the first vehicle we looked at had a crack in the windshield. We asked how it passed inspection like that and we were told it must have just happened that day. We were not feeling good about getting another vehicle from them and was already advised by XXXX on XXXX XXXX that the XXXX location stated they were going to pay off the XXXX XXXX loan. So we thought we were done with them until I got an email from XXXX stating they dont know who stated that but they were wrong and we would have to pick another vehicle from them. We found another vehicle and had it checked out by our mechanic before returning to the XXXX location to make the switch. Then we were advised it had been to long since the first loan so they couldn't switch out the vehicle and would have to pay off the old loan and make a new loan. Now I have 8 hard inquires on my credit report. I dont know why since all of this was over ONE vehicle that was sold to us. My family is trying to buy a house and this is going to hurt us now.

Complaint: The credit card issuer - Capital One - has refused to notify the major credit bureaus regarding the updated status of my account even after the collection agency they retained to collect the debt, notified them that the account balance has been satisfied. The collection agency, XXXX XXXX, responding to a separate complained provided a letter confirming account balance satisfied.
The credit card issuer has reported an updated comment " In collections/charge off '' which is inaccurate and further negatively impacts my scores. The issuer has submitted this incorrect update, after being notified of receipt of the full balance ( see attached ).
